  1. Hello All,

My Wife and I will be in Bangkok in July and as we are avid Seventh Day Adventists, we would like to attend an Adventist Church during our stay, and would like if possible for some good person to let us know if there is any Adventist Churchs in the Petchburi Road near Pantip Plaza or that area that we could attend. we will be staying at the Bangkok City Suite hotel in Petchburi Road while we are in Bangkok. We would appreciate any information that anyone could pass on to us and thank you all in advance.

I have searched the net but as yet have not found any valid infomation, also checked with our Embassy, but they were a little no-plus on the subject.

    Thank You.

  2. Hello,

My fiancee and I are coming to Bangkok in July to be married.

I am Australian and and she is from the Philippines, we thought getting married in Bangkok would be much more convenient and romantic than in our respective countries, we can do that later.

We will be coming to Bangkok on our own and just wanted to cover the necessary Embassy documentation, and then just go to the nearest Municiple hall and tie the knot.

Since having made all our plans, we have found out that it is now a rule of the Philippine Government that any of their subjucts getting married, have to obtain a License from their Embassy, and the Embassy must post the license application in the diplomatic system for a period of 10 days before they will issue the license. Which makes our stay much longer than necessary, can anyone verify this rule.

The other thing that puzzles us is, on reading the instructions about being married in Bangkok, from both our Embassies and the local instructions on foreigners getting married, no mention is made of a ceremony, do we just go to the local Municiple Hall, produce the translated documents and just register our marriage, or are we missing something somewhere.

I look forward to and appreciate any information and comments that might be sent to me.

    Thank you all.

  3. Hello All,

After a long and harrowing time of legal biggering and infighting, I have finally been able to secure the remains of the gold I bought my Thai EX, during our relationship and as it is a rather large amount of gold, about 30 baht, which i have no intention of keeping, brings back to many bad memories, I thought a trip to Thailand to sell it and have have some fun at the same time would be nice, wondered if anyone would be kind enough to let me know, what the present price for selling gold in Bangkok is? If I remember correctly, there is one price to buy and one price to sell, which is about 100 baht less. No point in trying to sell it here in Australia, don't get the same prices as over in good old Bangkok, or if anyone can give me a website I could go to to find the daily price, it would be even better.

Any informatin would be appreciated greatly. Thanks to all in anticipation .

    Regards.
