If I was to spend some time at a Wat I think especially in the early days i'd want to be with Asians.

What do you want? I meditated for decades but have felt i've benefitted most from two western techniques- the sedona method, and holosync.

Look at esangha there's a western bhikkhu moderator who recommends a wat in Lamphang (i think)
