People die when they're old. That's the way life works.

Great news - now go and bust karaoke bars in Pattaya and Patong!
They actually do that. You won't find many bars in pattaya who have kids working. Not in the tourist area.

As there is no standardised translation into Latin. it's both ok. Kai, khai, Kgai or gai. Many possibilities.

Best thing I've learned from a South American, "The darker they are the more they steal". My friend didn't even say it as a joke. Luckily I never listened.

Best advice to give is to contact your embassy. normally they cant hold your passport without a provincial court order.

Didn't they want to stop this waste of time ? What use does it have , other than a photo opportunity for the cops involved

Maybe it's time to kill the rats. Not a nice idea to lay in the rat urine and shit in the day. Must be easy to do as the rats aren't afraid of humans.

The poor girls mother is an idiot, why do Thais believe all the sh++e spread by monks t be the truth?
Many times we see monks giving so-called magic cures to people who then die.
People give these QUACKS serious money to cure family members then nothing or death.
Not only Thai believe that nonces, Look at the western world. despite prolonging the average age twofold. people still think that charlatans help.

I read take aways in the UK are banning straws. How could Thais cope without a straw. Every drink I get given here (except a beer) comes with a straw that I don't need.
Sorry beer comes with a straw too.

But the one thing I'm VERY grateful I did do is retire at 50 when I could get the visa and I would strongl;y recommend that, if you are not wealthy, do your 'time' in your chosen career first. I see far too many under-50 foreigners on hard times and living on low incomes (which the Thais do not like).
I fully understand the need to 'break-free' but do it with proper research @ 50+.
If the thai like it or not. Seems of no concern they hate us as much as each other. Once they know you it doesn't matter if you rich or poor. To be honest if you poor and they like you they will help you a lot.

Tourist complains about crowded visa office, shoddy treatment by Thailand

I have to be honest, but I'm always treated right at Jomtien Immigration. Even when I was stressed out. Great guys. don't forget they only do their job. Not that hard to stay polite and friendly. they are getting hundreds of people extra now. Not easy to keep caring.
