Thaksin's daughter.

Thaksin's ghost. (eventually)
Can't someone else have a go?- 1

Wow! Simply amazing....
Only a few days ago, they were saying it's not our business and would not condemn the invasion.
Now it's a grave concern.
No sincerity what so ever!- 4

As a current teacher in Thailand , I can only offer you my opinion regarding my experience at my school.
Online teaching for my colleagues and I has been an absolute disaster. Not because we have not prepared or we are not familiar with our platforms we are using, solely because of the students attitude to learning. I have regular classes of 30 -60 attendees, I am not joking when I say, if I have 4 student who participate, I am lucky. This is the same for my colleagues, Thai and foreign.
The students log in to the class and they are not heard of again, They refuse to turn their camera on or their audio. Just log in to attend.
We have regular marking sessions of their work online, where we go through the answers and answer any questions. Nope! They don't do it!
Any tests and quizzes which are only live for an hour, then taken back down again so it's difficult for them to cheat, they don't attend. With no excuse at all as to why not.
Right now, we are preparing for next week's end of semester and school year tests, the big ones. My school has already told me that all students must pass, even though I have never seen them, they have never done any work and if they do the exam or not.
All I see are excuses as to why they don't want to do anything when I read articles like this. There are many dedicated teachers, Thai and Foreign, trying their best under vary difficult circumstances all over Thailand.
My eyes have really opened to the attitude to learning here, this past two years.

This is just my personal experience/observations only.
I have lived in Bangkok since 2003. I have owned, rode and driven cars and motorcycles all of that time.
For a few years ,I was constantly stopped in either car or bike ( rightly or wrongly ) and always ended up paying by the road somehow.
I haven't been stopped in years now, maybe 7 or 8. I hardly ever see a road block. I drive EVERYDAY!
I have come to the conclusion that because of the leaps and bounds in recording equipment technology in phones and vehicles etc. They now think it's not worth the hassle of roadside tea money and they are suffering as this was maybe a big earner.
I could be totally wrong though and have no idea what I am talking about....lol!- 1

I am coming to my seventeenth year here.
The longer I stay, the more I know that I simply don't understand them.
So desperate to bring tourists back into the country but then talk about measures like this.
Who on earth is going to travel across the world for a 2-3week break, hit the beach and not be able to have a few cold ones in a bar?
Another high season passes and the people of the tourist areas suffer heavily while they look upon them from their ivory towers.
Honestly, I'm, dumbfounded!

Thanks for all the replies. Regarding the seat height, I think it's too low but he wants it there. He can only just tip-toe the floor at the moment and wants to feel the floor. ( His words) lol!
Cheers! We are having a great time together!- 1

I live in Bangkok. My 8 year old son and I go cycling quite often in Bangers. I know of a few dedicated cycle tracks around the city now in parks and so on.. All about 5 km loops. We usually do between 15-20 km.
I have been trying to google anything similar in Pattaya /Jomtien for our next trip. Take the bikes and away we go for the weekend. But I'm not having any luck finding tracks.
Does anyone know of anything similar in the areas I mentioned?
Cheers!- 1

Hi.... I have been reading and I am looking for current information.
I have been on extensions for non-o child dependency for the last 3 years. This year I could not leave the money in the bank for 3 months. Now I am on a tourist exempt stamp. Can I get a M.E Non - O from Penang or Kota Bharu for this? I do have the 400k to show in a bank statement. I am not married but I have the Kor Lor 11 from the district office (amphoe) to say I am his legai guardian and have joint custody.I aso read the consulate may only offer a single enter Non-O.
A very worrying time for me...
If anyone could give answers I would be truly grateful. -
Thank you very much.....

Sorry...just found this thread!
I am reading here that this is available to PR holders with a yellow Tambien Baan.
Any chance of getting this card for a Non -O extention holder with a yellow Tambien Baan?

Wow.Unbelievable!
I was going to start a thread on exactley the same thing.
A friend's 1 year marriage extension finishes in June but he doesn't want another year, just a couple of months.
So he can go to immigration and extend his 1 year marriage extension for 60 days?
Is 7 days before the 1 year extension expires OK, to apply for the 60 day extension?
Thanks.
You guys are great. 8-)

Just when the Americans were saying there's no need for marshal law, a bomb goes off in a tourist area after months of calm...
What's the odds on that ?It's a good job I believe in coincidences or people might think there's some shady business going on....

Hi guys. I have a slight problem I hope somebody could help me with.
I have an old( but working well) laptop computer. It only has a VGA output and not HDMI.
What I want to do is connect it to 3 flat-screen TVs. These only have HDMI inputs though.
I want to be able to play and show youtube etc in my bar.
is there some kind of splitter that inputs VGA and ouputs HDMI ( WIth at least 3 ports)?
I'm based in BKK, so if anyone knows of cost and location, It would be truly appreciated.
Cheers. DsD.

I posted this on another thread a long time ago, about the Liverpool vs Man U match.
I went to the liverpool vs Thailand game, in 2015. It was 800 Bhat if I remember correctly.
Same stadium. I still have the ticket.
So,4,000 Bhat for the cheapest ticket now, seems crazy.
