I would hazard a guess that most of us have.

You need to make sure that is a couple of feet higher than the surrounding area, and you have to allow for some settling. The longer you leave it, the better, I would recommend two rainy seasons at least if you are just going to dump it and leave it, or one rainy season and then use an impacter, either way you need to get started on that now.

not long ago a member posted a topic in how he obtained the citizenship,other member in the same topic mentioned a change in the law ( you don't need PR first but marriage visa for 5 years will be ok to apply for citizenship). As any one been lately to the immigration in BKK and ask if this is the case.

I was in Savannakhet on the 11 for tourist visa and i collected the day after,the put a notice at the dor and in muddkahan bus station that : from the 1st of june all the visa must be collected the day after not in the same day.

I recon they should take into account the weight of the passenger also. A petite 50kg Thai should be able to take more luggage with them than a hefty German tourist weighing in at 120kg.

A plane full of fat farang tourists might weigh a ton more than a boeing full of small Thais. It all ads up.

American airline they are looking in to it. the Op I believe is never been charged for excess weight by English low cost airline if he did,it would have been very happy to pay 86 Thb for 1.5 kg.

That's depend on which area of thailand you like to live personally I invested much more than that in Ubonratchathani and I'm quite happy with the investment.

Of course you need a bit of a business plan on what you like to do and what is experties.If you try to invest like many foreign they do in Thailand with no experience in the field they invest for sure you loose the capital.

I apologise in advance in taking issue with your post. The question is not that simple. The driver behind my original post was based on the must discussed pitfalls and risks associated in buying in Thailand. Obviously if falangs were able to buy without any restrictions the most sensible thing is to buy. But in Thailand it is not, simple as that. Based on such a volitile environment my question was based on my financials "buy or rent?.
