  1. So, next step, land dumping I guess. Any of you guys go through this procedure?

I would hazard a guess that most of us have.

You need to make sure that is a couple of feet higher than the surrounding area, and you have to allow for some settling. The longer you leave it, the better, I would recommend two rainy seasons at least if you are just going to dump it and leave it, or one rainy season and then use an impacter, either way you need to get started on that now.

I was hoping not to wait too long before starting, if I impact the earth, what do you think the minimum time I would need to leave before starting construction? Is guess there is no alternative?

Yes there is alternative but will be more expensive raise the level with concrete.

  2. I brought with me to old cat's from London, 15 and 16 years old i had the same worry but they been in Thailand for the past 16 month and they are OK,for the first month every day i used to wet them a little with cold water around the ears and on the head.Maybe you should wet the dog every day with cold water for the first month to help him out.

But i think will be OK.

  3. Hi

Since the cat died you sholud go and have the full course of vaccine (5 in total) if the cat was still alive 3 vaccine would have been ok. For your own good go to the hospital and tell them that the cat is dead, dont wait any longer.

  4. Hi all,

I'm intend coming to Ubon for a few days holiday.

Looking for a decent clean room approx 600 baht per night which close to the night spots by walking distance ( at least for some of them...)

    Any recommendation ?

    Thanks :D

There is a newly build mansion in the street next to tesco lotus,I had a look at the room and they are nice, they charge 400 bath per day the name is Panjan place. :o

  5. Maybe the old boys where looking to take home a thai boy, maybe this time the choose the wrong one. :D 71-80 years old where they go at that time in the morning around pattaya.

Shame that you accuse two old age pensioners of paedophilia with no evidence of any wrongdoing and then fail to condemn a cowardly attack.

I din't accuse the old boy of been paedophile, maybe they where looking for adult boys. :o ha,ha,ha

You actually think you are funny? You are NOT. <deleted>.

My dear, not funny, realistic. I see worst then that in the street of London.

Really? And how long did you live in London for?

    2 years :D

  6. "My dear, not funny, realistic. I see worst then that in the street of London."

"Worse than" my dear chap - As English is obviously your second language and you are probably an immigrant I thought I should help you out - I would not want to seem as mean spirited as you make yourself out to be in your postings above.

Maybe I'm an immigrant that to write in English, but if you live in thailand maybe you are an immigrant that speak english (only). :o

  9. I recon they should take into account the weight of the passenger also. A petite 50kg Thai should be able to take more luggage with them than a hefty German tourist weighing in at 120kg.

A plane full of fat farang tourists might weigh a ton more than a boeing full of small Thais. It all ads up.

American airline they are looking in to it. the Op I believe is never been charged for excess weight by English low cost airline :o if he did,it would have been very happy to pay 86 Thb for 1.5 kg. :D

  10. That's depend on which area of thailand you like to live personally I invested much more than that in Ubonratchathani and I'm quite happy with the investment.

Of course you need a bit of a business plan on what you like to do and what is experties. If you try to invest like many foreign they do in Thailand with no experience in the field they invest for sure you loose the capital. :o

  11. Your question is very simple to replay : if you got the money you buy, many people they are happy with renting becouse they dont have the money to buy.very simple :o

I apologise in advance in taking issue with your post. The question is not that simple. The driver behind my original post was based on the must discussed pitfalls and risks associated in buying in Thailand. Obviously if falangs were able to buy without any restrictions the most sensible thing is to buy. But in Thailand it is not, simple as that. Based on such a volitile environment my question was based on my financials "buy or rent?.

I think the concensus is rent.

    With respect OP.

    Not a problem :D
