  1. Thanks so much Nordlys for the recommendation of Matsuwa. It was such a great place! I am very excited to revisit it as often as possible.

They didn't have Qoo however, but such a great place. I am very grateful.

  2. :o Where and how can I get Qoo in the States??? I know that it's made by Coca Cola, but it isnt in the US. I used to drink it everyday all the time in BKK, now I just suffer... HELP!!! So frustrating...

So, basically, white rice is as good, if not better, for you than brown rice??? Is that what this says? Can my eyes be right??!!!

  4. Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knows, or could translate for me the nutritional value of the rice porridge that I get. It's an instant porridge, and I eat both the Chicken and Pork flavors. The brand name is Knorr, and the packages are yellow in color with a little piggy or chicken on the front. My grandmother always buys these for me, and I don't speak or read thai very well, plus there isn't any info on the packet itself, so I think the info must be on the original box.

I love this porridge so much that it must be bad for me. I'm on a very strict diet, so anything that anyone can do to help me out would be wonderful.

    Thank you so much!

    Bella :o

  5. I remember that I was at a club one time in Kuala Lumpur hanging out and having a few drinks with some people I had just met. I was talking to this guy that I though was very nice... turns out he was "royalty", and when my friends saw me talking to him, they immediately pulled me away "just in case". They said that it's not a good thing to have a rich man fancy you in this circle.

Well not only the Rich men fancy ladies like you...Those rich ladies too fancy young guys ... :D:D:D

Emm i wonder which modeling agency you are from.. :D:o

I was witha an agency called RED in BKK.

  6. I know that when I am in BKK, or any other South Eastern Asian country (Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, HK...) I am always especially careful.

I work as a model in these countries, and the circle of wealthy men and women know no boundaries as far as their sexual appetites. Sadly, they know that it's a matter of what you can afford.

I have heard stories of models disappearing from parties, clubs, etc... and it has always been believed that this is what happens to them when they disappear.

    Strange, but unfortunately, true...

  7. I was wondering if anyone can give me a recipe for Chicken rice. I believe that the Thai chicken rice is similar to the famous Chicken Rice that I ate nearly everyday while in Singapore. It is served chopped up into big pieces, and has a gingery flavor. It also has a side of veggies and a side of chicken soup.

I would really love to know how to make this... it's by far the best thing I've ever had, and I'd love to have it at home, any comments will be very appreciated!

  8. :o Just wondering if anyone actually has a recipe for Thai Chicken Rice... I'd like to try and make it at hime.

Also... is it similar to the very popular Chicken Rice in Singapore??? I have never eaten the chicken rice in BKK, but used to eat it everyday in SNG. It was served with a side of veggie and some chicken stock soup. The chicken and rice itself were very juicy with a ginger type of flavor. Is this the same as the Thai??

    Thanks!

  9. Hi. I was wondering if anyone knew the nutritional value of Nampla (fish sauce). I do not read Thai, and the labels never have anything about it in English. I am most concerned with the calories and the sodium. I wouild be very grateful if anyone knew. I use it in EVRYTHING, and am having a hard time knowing how to incorporate it into my new diet. Thanks!!!

  10. Does anyone have any idea how I can translae an e-mail from English to Thai at no cost? I am writing from the US and my Thai is not so good. I would like to find a website or a tool that can translate it for me please. any ideas would help. Thanks.... :o

  11. you guys don't really believe that this is an accident or suicide, do you? I would have taken most of you for smarter than that. I think the name for it is "seriel killer". At least that's what the USA calls them. The same types of deaths in the same building over 12 months? Hmmmm..... interesting...

None-the-less, what ever happened to the good news??? I know it's not all peaches and cream, but it's always nice to hear something good about the place we all know and love, eh? Probably just the girly in me , but I was just wondering :o

  12. There are so many differenmt ways to view this topic. I am no activist, but I do have compassion for these poor creatures reduced to doing circus acts and paintings. This is unnatural, and I believe cruel. These animals have served the Thai people for hundreds of years and what in return? They are getting pushed out of existence because they are no longer "useful". And as far as traffic goes, who the ###### cares? You're never going to get anywhere in BKK in less than an hour anyway!!!LOL!

We can't deny these animals a right to live, when they have helped Thais live for so long...

I'm glad to see the care in this topic though....

  13. The elephants are going to disappear from Thailand all together if you take away all of their purpose. They are a tourist attraction as well, and I think that the people will be disappointed who were wanting to see them. I think that you should stop thinking about what is good for you and think about what is good for our animals. They are not just a nuisance, they are lives that you are ruining. Please reconsider.....

  14. I think that i'm late for this year, but I don't think that it's by too far since it is all about the full moon right? Anyway, we all need to ask forgiveness and wish for better luck. Even if it is not the exact right time. hehe

  15. Hey, any suggestions on how to make a Krathong? My family is celebrating Loi Krathong in the US, and i would like any help available on how to make a Krathong. Any help would be great. Thanks.
