I have just returned from Phuket and while there , i was told some thing very worrying by a local about a certain (unnamed )resort used to QUARINTINE people from a certain Asian country , nothing usual you may think with that , but what he told me makes a joke of the quarantine . People have the full run of the resort ,restaurant's etc ,so people who have or are about to finish there quarantine are mingling with new arrivals. This is a total joke if what he told me is true. And need to be checked out by the Thai government, random checks and very heavy fines

Bye bye “phuket model”.
now there's no tourists around it would be a great time to fix the stinking sewage problem at Kata , were it runs into the beach water from the two ends of the beach , some of this money should go to fixing this problem ,also the collapsing walkway alongside Club Med.
nothing turns people off more than the sight of stinking water flowing into there swimming areas. Karon beach is the same.

On the decline ? It has only just begun in Thailand. Today is the first day of Songkran, Governments and local towns and cities may have canceled big events. BUT T.I.T. and Thais will still celebrate Songkran with their usual noisy parties., they will get their booze from somewhere that is willing to sell it.
disagree with your comment ,all people where I am ,are following the ban , I have not seen one party here ,no one throwing water at all, people are not even going to temples , and no parties , here at all and they love a party here. well since writing the above a few minutes ago had the above shot to death 8 young children just came to bless me happy Songkran scented water in my hands and me pouring a small amount over there heads, while wishing them good fortune in life . .these are all relatives of my lady and call me Popa , there were lead by my 5 year old niece.

So if you go to this website it says Phuket has 34 confirmed cases
But if you go to CNN there's an article about Phuket being a virus hotspot with over 170 confirmed cases
I believe neither number to be honest
locally in Phuket there reporting over 200 infected doing daily up dates and what are even where as what streets businesses ,this is all in Thai , I talk to my mate and his wife and there telling me , on the last day there were 22 new infection. this was a couple days ago . the same in Sis ak at few days ago 8 infected with one close to us we know details ,as there saying girl came back from Pattaya , to Kun Han, where she lives and three days later tested positive to the virus. and is in Kun Han hospital, so local reporting is good. every one isolating , here nobody taking chances at all ,and every one warring a masks and yes Thais would I understand get angry if you don't ware a mask when the laws say you have to ,and the biggest spreaders have been from foreigners, bringing in the virus.

to add to my post , Found out because they had ,me registered from , before didn't need the blue book , but I have requested the company get the blue book for me , it , would be so much easier , to have a online reporting of ones movements ,I could tell them online straight away, with the 90 days report , I still travel to my local immigration every 3 months as we always do a big shopping trip . And its always quiet.

Unbeliever able ,so if you go on a six to ten day camping trip in Thailand , away from you house , you have to report ,every camping place you stay on your holiday every day ? So you spend most of your holiday standing around immigration offices waiting to fill forms in ?
Last time I traveled ,I told my local office where I was going and how long for, thinking this was sufficient , to be told no I had to report my arrival , at my destination , to immigration , this was a nightmare company property don't have the blue book , company CEO staying in Northern Thailand company Accountant was in Bangkok , doing business . I report I was staying at the property , they took copy of my pass port , that was it no forms as I couldn't show bluebook ,told me to come back when I had it , ended up going home early .

the one thing hate about it is when some scumbag Thai
think its ok to try and feel up your lady and grab her breast , this happened in Phuket a few years ago , if I had of known at the time I would have given him a flogging . my girlfriend yell at him but didn't tell me till later ,when I asked her about it .
these are some scumbags out there , Who rely on the fact they are will a large group of there friends , to assault woman at this time of year. Even though Thais don't approve of this behavior ,, they will protect the <deleted> if you attack him , and attack you. and these <deleted> that do this know it . I love Songkran and enjoy a couple of days of it , this year in our village and in Thai dress as well. and the village people show more respect , to every one including me.
