  1. Went into Friendship supermarket in Pattaya and bought some curries made by a company called Curry nights. They were fantastic. So much meat and the sauces are so like you get back in the UK at your local Indian. They also make a delicious Selection of Nan breads.

  2. I have done this myself recently and yes it is possible i booked my Evaair flights for August and i don't have to pay until the 11th July. so was able to get Visa showing a full itinery. Contact BKK airbooking center on 02 634 1445 OR WWW.BKKBOOKING.COM they will be able to help you as they did me.

    Good Luck

Thanks in advance for any help offered regarding this matter, cheers.

Let me fill you in on the story......

My girlfriend(thai and living in krabi) and I(Uk and living in uk), are currently nearing the end of putting together an application for her to come over to the UK on a tourist visa for two weeks holiday in mid july.

The question i have concerns air line tickets for the trip. The guideline section on the visa website advises not to pay for the tickets, but instead to reserve them. I'm guessing that to show a return ticket back to Thailand will be of great importance to the application and i feel that is imperative to our application.

I have contacted a travel firm to ask about this and the lady said that to reserve tickets and to pay for them at a later date is not possible(there i was thinking that this was going to be easy!!!!), is there anybody out there who has applied for tourist visa's for thai national's coming into the uk who can offer me any help on this matter. Specifically, i would like to know if tickets can be reserved until a decision has been made on the visa application, and then if successful, payment made at that point.

I'm thinking that its probably easier to just surf onto the thai airways site right now and just book them, but if in the unlikely event of her application being rejected then i am £800 out of pocket. Anyway, any help, advice or information would be great.

Once again, my sincere thank you's to anybody who can offer any advice.

    Regards

    Jamie

  4. I had a new 10 x 5m pool built at my house in Rayong by a company in Pattaya and i have had nothing but problems since it was finished. it has been out of action more then in since it was finished and now it had developed a leak and i cannot get the company to come and fix it. it has been out of action for 5 weeks and i was promised they would be here the week before last. When they didn't turn up we contacted the owner and he made some story about the guy who was responsible having to return to his village for a sick relative but promised without fail they would start today (7th). They didn't arrive and there phones are switched off. I know what i would like to do but i don't won't to be deported as i love Thailand but as i have a twelve month GUARENTEE is there anything legal i can do and is there anyone out there who can help me???

It was Pool Design in Pattaya, They did come back eventually and fix it but have left a large patch in the sandwash rim. They hadn't got a clue where the leak was and it was up to me to tell them it was in the spa area, a pretty crap job for the money i paid.

Be warned and thanks to all those who replied.
