When will this stupidity end? Closing down schools for kids to have online classes from home is sheer stupidity. Like kids at home can enjoy a pristine air, can they. Maybe they all have air purifiers and know how to operate them properly. I've worked with such morons who make such decisions for 15 years. It had a significant effect on my health, more than pollution ever will, though it is a serious matter.

Don't talk silly. There are LONG waiting times here in my University Hospital, but I eventually get what need sorted out for a very reasonable price, both treatment and meds.
Sorry, please check my original reply again as it is corrected and changed due to a grammatical error.

It is all free for everyone in the UK. That's why waiting lists are so long.
In Thailand there is no such thing a waiting list, If you have money or reliable insurance. No nanny state here.

I sure could not my golf budget is twice that. That is 700 b a day lots of poor British do it with their lousy frozen pensions, so I guess it is possible.
Come and give it a try for a month. If you get hungry, they throw a lot of food waste here I am sure the garbage cans at the malls are a gold mine.
I's well known amongst peasantry that most golfers like playing with holes. On the serious note, answer to the OP, you can live on 20.000 THB monthly as you described but keep in mind that you have to have some kind of visa and most importantly HEALTH Insurance that would add to the cost of living.

It's all good. Not everyone has to be in the same camp. Hope that in the next year everything works out well for you.

Sad. I guess most of the victims and injured didn't wear safety belts. When will they learn? On a bus or a van I am usually the only one properly strapped.

I hope you're aware of this. Thailand's public hospitals use a three-tier medical charges system based on a patient's visa status:- Tier 1: For Thai citizens and citizens of neighboring countries
- Tier 2: For expatriates who are working and paying taxes in Thailand
- Tier 3: For retirees and tourists (the most expensive)
-
While private hospitals can charge up to 10 times more than government hospitals.

I am terribly sorry dear Excise Department of Thailand. This year my contribution to you is cut in half. Thank you for your understanding. Sincerely yours. Nowhereman

How about that guy who cut down all the trees and planted corn up in the hill above the village, is his house still standing?

LOL.....I'm not actually someone anyone wants to piss off.
I am sure you're someone who's visa can be easily and quickly revoked. Chill man. Don't get in any trouble is the best way for foreigners in Thailand.

OK, but you say a new card. By that I assume you already had a card with a previous address whis was not in Thailand. A first card Wise tell me card cannot be for someone with a Thai address and no fixed address somewhere else in the world.
You might be right. I hope you manage to get it done.

I am sure it If , for exais good but if you live in Thailand you cannot get one. if, for example, you have a home in the Uk then you can obtain a card there.
Not true. I just received my Wise card on my Thai address. Before concluding application for new card I was asked to which address I wanted to be send.

In the first three month I've managed to cut down my spending for 50% and I will continue to do so until I am sure I won't be paying double taxes. The results of spending less are visible on my body weight and good health 😉 Thank you Thailand 😉

Anyone wondered, what percentage or severity of the crimes committed in the kingdom can be assigned to foreigners compared to " netizens"? Is it really so worrisome or there is some distraction game at play.

Just a thought. If any of those alleged criminals doesn't get convicted will their visa be reinstated? Fat chance 😉 What a legal system, if there ever was one.

You will rarely be asked for an onward flight ticket when entering by land.
The Non B visa application at the embassy in Vientiane is significantly less bureaucratic and time consuming than the application at Thai Immigration. If wanting to start work immediately, I would recommend the Vientiane embassy route.
Thank you for your answer, Do you happened to know if the police clearance is mandatory?

I hope I can get some good advice here from you folks. I learned that I have to leave the country to cancel my retirement visa without reentry permit. There are two ways of doing it.
1. 1. Going to Embassy with all the paperwork for Non-B. ( in my case Vientiane Laos)
2. 2. Crossing land border to Laos (Chiang Khong) and returning the same day to Thai immigration and enter Thailand on tourist visa based on visa-exemption and do the Non-B at the local immigration office.
The second option would be much cheaper but here’s my question. One of the conditions to get visa exemption is to have confirmed return ticket exiting Thailand within 30 days. Do you think the immigration would let me in without an air ticket? I plan to have all the paperwork for Non-B with me.
Thank you very much in advance.
