Milorad Mazic will be refereeing the CL Final. His claim to fame?....Voted worst referee in 2014 World Cup!:saai:

    that's a little worrying.

also concerning is joe gomez is now out for the season as well. we might to have to have jurgen in his boots on the bench for the final if this keeps up. can we recall anyone? grujic etc?

Oh the expectation amongst Rangers fans has never been lower.

The trouble is they need money to be able to compete with Celtic and no sign of that as yet...but the gap has become less it must be said.

not sure that expectation will last for long though man. heard on the second captains podcast that the average wage at rangers is currently 320k quid a year, which doesn't seem likely to attract many decent players really, while rangers fans will be hoping that gerrard can etc.

It would take him 2 seasons to get his fitness up to Klopp’s expectation. I actually don’t think he could manage it.

he also can't play more than about 50 minutes a match. klopp wouldn't touch him with a bargepole.

saints winning at goodison by the way. allardyce is the best thing to happen to merseyside football since klopp.

<deleted> have scored a late equaliser. damn. big sam for england!

    Love it.

Going to be one of the best finals ever this cos both defences are suspect.

whole champions league has been this season really man, defences are generally an afterthought. so we're going to beat madrid 6-5 with a firmino hat-trick. inshallah.

Been noticing of recent Lovren has a very big trap on him and using it to excess of recent.  Now spouting off about Real Madrid.

Being as he is so clearly the weakest link and could well get turned inside out i'd have thought Klopp would be telling him to button it.  Others, by all means shout to the hill tops but Lovren.....dies he feel Madrid need extra motivation of something?

didn't really think he said anything wrong really, and i'm all for players being a bit bullish ahead of massive matches.

according to the spanish press we apparently needn't bother turning up at all, we've not got a chance.

Do you even watch football? He can't get into the Spurs team.

toby hardtospell would be a big upgrade on lovren. if he's available i hope we're interested.

Agree with all that but remember this team has Jordan Henderson in midfield, not Steven Gerrard.

totally different team and totally different role. comparing henderson with gerrard is pointless. that 2005 team had milan baros in attack and djibril cisse on the bench. this side has mane, firmino and salah.

that said, anyone who doesn't think jordan henderson is an absolutely top class footballer and very good captain is a pillock like.

Well done Liverpool, should be a cracking final, RM are in decline, Ramos will be taken to the cleaners and Ronaldo is not firing on all cylinders lately.

Liverpool will score goals against them, that I am sure of. But to concede 4 goals in a European cup semi final is criminal.

But my big fear is defense and keeper. That kid at full back had a nightmare last night, he looks good going forward but is clueless in the art of defending. A goalkeeper to palm the ball the way he did for their second goal, into path of the forward, totally amateurish. And then there is Lovren.

don't agree with that at all. what i see is a squad full of players who have won the last two european cups and absolutely know what it takes to win it. they're an experienced, crack team of senior pros who are used to winning stuff. and they will rightly be favourites.

that said, i am reminded of the starting XI of the milan team in the 2005 final: dida, cafu, nesta, stam, maldini, gattuso, seedorf, pirlo, kaka, crespo, shevchenko. basically a world star in every position. and we beat them with djimi traore in the team. so, you know.

Lovren should be keeping him up. Lovren needs to check his emotion too, he gets to wound up for these big games and it often clouds his judgement (that’s me being kind).

To be fair to the lads last night, it was a massive test of nerve and all considered they came out on top.

What a campaign, just astonishing considering our hopes at the start of the season.

Jurgen Klopp in his second full season, and another European final. You do get a feeling this is just the start.

yeah and it's very stark now the areas we need to address. already got naby keita coming in in the summer, sign 3 or 4 quality additions and we'll be in good shape.

you're right about lovren too, his head goes to bits in big games doesn't it? even with the big comforting blanket of virgil next to him.

He is a star! Be interesting in the Final as he'll probably be up against Ronaldo....unless our mate Suarez can bite him to death at the weekend:thumbsup:

oh it's barca - madrid this weekend is it? injuries galore for madrid if you don't mind please barca. no way do barcelona want madrid doing three european cups on the bounce.

Was never too worried about the result last night but it is a little concerning that despite VVD's influence, we have a tendency to switch off and drop far too deep at times. TAA and Lovren are then targeted with long diagonals on the edge of our box. Would prefer we kept a higher line and used our pace to recover anything over the top.

As to the decisions, I don't want to moan too much as some went our way and others didn't but it seems impossible for us to be awarded a pen these days!:saai:

yeah i love trent and he's got a hell of a future to come but alongside lovren on our right they do make a big target. that ball over trent's shoulder is a gimme and we need to tighten up on it. if we're not going to pull salah back to help him out then one of the midfield three has to be detailed to it.

how boss was robertson last night by the way? solid defensively and great going forward, every ball he put across their box was dangerous as well.

A lot of his sources are likely to be people outside the club.. Including agents etc. If he's well connected in football he can find out things at other clubs too.

he's a gobshite who all serious journalists think is a wally. and it must be very hard to type when your entire body is so lodged in jose mourinho's colon.

I don't know where you get your info from but Firminho's  put pen to paper and Real Madrid already have their replacement for Bale, from within, Marco Asensio.  Bit behind the times Champs!!!

not to mention that madrid have been extensively linked with wanting hazard and lewandowski this summer.

Don't count on beating Brighton if you can't beat Stoke at home.

so you agree that if we beat brighton we're in the champions league next season then? cheers.

Bad guess? Time will tell. If you lose at Chelsea next weekend and don't win the Champs League, you could end up in the Europa League next season.

Salah is going to have his salary upped to £175K a week. Do you think RM might be able to pay more? I do.

really? what happens if we beat brighton?
