Mae Ping Villa / Imperial Sports Club: River has risen aabout 5cm over past 1.5 hrs. Very soon to break banks here.

Mae Ping Villa / Imperial Sports Club: River up 5cm from last post. River flow rate has increased significantly and seems to be on increase.

Chalapratan Klong has been "shut off" at Mae Taeng ... so water level is low .... Not sure why they have done this as when it is allowed to flow it eases the pressure on the Ping and allows some relief in terms of volume. River still rising at Mae Ping Villa / Imperial Sports Club. Since last post up by another 7-8cm.

Mae Rim Villa / Imperial Sports Club: Water has risen 20-25cm in past 2 hours. Fast flowing now and still rising slowly ... Take care downstream!!!

Try "Van Houten" ...last seen available in Villa and at Emporium ..

The best way is to ring TG office in either BKK or CNX direct ... they have a variety of non-advertised fares which are much cheaper than the posted fares on the net. If you book far enough in advance then AirAsia is easily the easiest ... or you could try NOK or 1-2-Go ... and funnily enough even Bangkok Airways have cheap deals ...

I cannot understand why anyone would exclude The Olde Bell ...

The food there is as authentic as you can get, the prices are excellent and the service is good and unobtrusive. I have never had a problem there ... I really would like to know also what exactly do you mean by "after that other shenanigans"?

The owners - Pedr and Beer - run a fine pub by any standards and are easily the most friendly of the English pubs in Chiang Mai ... and most certainly could never be accused of being mean in portioning or warmth and hospitality ...

For mine and most long-term expats money The Olde Bell wins hands down against all competition!!

We are not here or being paid to offer constructive approaches for solution, our opinions rarely matter in these woods.

Read your policy - Force Majeure - should wipe out most of your coverage if your insurer so decides ...

Suggest that you contact the Chiang Mai University Language Institute and talk to Khun Sansani (Director) or Dr. Matt - TEFL etc
