There's also a chance that Dad ran out of money and he did the best thing in interest of his daughter and reported himself to the authorities.

Question to the posters....I'm straight, and i fall in love with a katoey, Am I Gay, straight or Bisexcual?
This Question becomes from one of my sons.... not gay, who is really struggeling with this, because it happened to him last summer.
-
Wonder how many of you would be happy to have a son actually marry a katoey?
Nah......didn't think so........hypocrites!
If my son is happy with her.....Why not.
-
" In the UK or Canada (countries of my citizenship), such a place would be out of business overnight."
I reckon if you had a bar in the West End/Soho in London, full of Katoey's and it was commercially viable or even possible, I reckon it would be an instant hit in my opinion!
IN Amsterdam are 2 bars run by these girls, and they doing great

I'm quite happy to be served a drink or a meal in a restaurant but when it comes to a serious purchase, such as an air ticket for example, I really don't want to deal with a ladyboy. if the owners of a business such as this can't take things seriously then neither can I.
You don't have to purchase a plane ticket for her..aeehh...him. What you obviously didn't realized was that some of them do have a brain. I personally do not care who's selling me a ticket.
But I f\do know that some guys are so unsafe with their sexuality that they might think something bad could happen if....
I think you hit the nail right on its head here.
I don't care if someone is katoei or not as long as they are good at their job.
Would he purchase a ticket when he/she is gay/lesbian? is my question.

If I would say what I think about you and your post, then not only my post would be deleted, but I think I would be banned from TV for weeks....
I concur absolutely

I noticed that the writer of this article addresses Katoeys as "she". Is that correct? What does their paspport show under gender: HE or SHE...
Is it true that Katoeys cannot subscribe a health insurance if they have tampered with ther body to look more "female"...
Why so many boys feel like girls here in this part of the world and nowhere else? You hardly can call them "exceptions" but more a sort of "new generation"... Did the Lord made so much mistakes here in Thailand when he created men and women?
For me it's clear: it's not natural! You can call me "old-fashioned" but that is not going to change my opinion. That is not how we have been created... We should feel sorry for them (with pittyful respect and no disdain) similarly as with the so many children born with deficiencies in Vietnam after Agent Orange was sprayed over their country....
"He" or "She" Is that important to the ladyboy .......or you?
try translating he and she into Thai.

It is very clear to me that a lot of posters on this forum have a very low opinion of Thailand and the Thai people and culture. It's amazing how some of you can put a negative spin on everything that Thailand tries to do.
That once again begs the question as to why some of you are living here. Do you feel superior among the Thais of whom you have a low opinion? Or is it because you can't make a living in your own country or can't afford to retire in your own country?
Serious question in the time of such crisis in Thailand, which will have very far reaching economic and social consequences. It may be time to get out of Thailand.
:jap: I like this guy.

I use for already 4 years a PCMCIA GPS/GPRS Card made by EagleTec wich fit in a slot in my Laptop, and it works well, slow but well. even in the ricepaddy's. I used it in Srisaket, Ubon, Korat, in the bus, train, car, in Sweden ( much more expensive) and it worked. you put it in your laptop, install the software, add a simcard 500 bath, and voila internet and you can make phone-calls. E-mail, Thaivisa.com, Teletekst etc works fine, avoid heavy sites with Flash, Youtube etc, therefore it's to slow. like i said 5 years old, maybe there are already faster ones.

I managed it,did'nt won the nobel price fo peace with it. my wife always shouted 'she not, listen he not listen and she not list'then she said'you know better, you do then!' So i grabbed two of them, the boy ( sisters son)and girl(daughter wifes) in to th bathroom and stuffed them into the big bucket with stone cold water, the third kid (daughter sister) ran off to sisters house and washed her hands. Mother angry, sister angry , mea jai angry, all for two day's. final result, no nobelprice but the kids wash theire hands (if i'm there) since, and thats about 8 years back.
Mother and daughter are here in The Netherlands now, daughter is 15 and now mother start to complain why she has to shower 3 times a day.

I forgot, what's a good roadmap (brand) and where to buy a good roadmap. I'm more a mapreader then using Navigation cause i like myself more focused on the road and traffic.
Second where can i find the rules of traffic, in Thailand, anyone can recommend me a good site?

A answer to your other question, who nobody answered, becarefull of driving yourself or better DON'T. If you cause a accident, a Thai is, can be in trouble, A farang is always in trouble, a farang without a licence is in deep shit. So please try to find someone who can drive you down.
My girlfriend doesn't want me to drive at all, and i have a international drivinglicence and be a trucker, just because of the enormous fines and pay offs of familys.
Her son hit a child a couple of months back, driving without a licence and insurance, 225.000 bath.
so becare full son.
Chock dee.

The installation of the machines is not that difficult. Run a water line with a valve with threads that match the hose on machine, plastic pipe for discharge line from machine (no threads), electric plug in for machine, and finally, just make sure the machine is level.
And
GROUND IT, with an earthcable

Hi,
I am looking for a new water pump and a water heater near Khun Han (south of Sisaket)
Any ideas where I could find maybe together with a 'good' installation service and if needed after care service
Thanks
Just go to Srisaket city. The town can provide you from the most things you need to build a complete house. Can go to Ubon to.

I have recently spent a month in Thailand, one week in Koh Chang, excellent place so peaceful and not overrun with visitors. I stayed at the VJ Residence which was ok,but, luckily I kept an eye on my online banking. After I left I found that I had been charged 6300bht for a week, which was ok, but on the same day they had been into my account for two more 6300bhts! I got it back but it was not easy, so I will be paying cash in future.
I will be back in October and am thinking of having a week in Rayong, does anyone have any information about the place and can suggest anywhere to stay, nothing to expensive say 500 bht a night? Thanks for any forthcoming help.
Sorry to say theis Exeter, but you were lucky this time then and was it quiet cause the economic situation, like everywhere in the country(s)
I was at Kho Chang in 01, 02, and 08 and was stunned about the flash flood of tourist on the island. in 01/02 there where not even beergardens.
Still it's a beautyfull place to be, and i will come back.
In Rayong is a nice and quiet resort SIRI on SEA, just google for it, lovely place to be ( me 3 times now)

There are enough hotels. N.R. is'nt that big (Haarlem, Alkmaar) most of the public transport (80%) is regulated with song-teaws with regulated lines, and "bus"stops and cost you basicly 5 bath.

Why not just tattoo a number on the arm's of all foreigners to keep track of them .... I can't believe this ....
Don't the Thais have the right to ensure those who come into and stay in the country are ligitimate? Many countries in the world have registration systems to provide information on who is living where and for how long. What's the problem?
It's no hardship for the foreigner, it's the guesthouse or hotel that has to provide the info and like i say many other countries do the same.
With the security situation in Thailand and the world the way it is ithink it's well over due!
RIGHT!!!!
A Thai national who wants to visit The Netherlands for max 3 months visit/holiday
Needs a visaapplication from the Dutch Ambassey in Bangkok.
Needs a bankstatement added 140,000 bath or a gaurantor
has to report him/herself in 3 day's at the dutch Imigration
