  1. What are some of you whining about? Should he just give away the company he built from scratch to some people? It's a family owned business so it is quite normal that he wants his sons to take over. Some lazy people here who don't want to do anything but being parasites expecting to be "taken care of" by others whilst sleeping all day long and drinking and playing cards should learn from these people. All these successful people here started off with basically nothing and built up big businesses. Just shut up and if someone doesn't want to buy their eggs or shop at 7/11 or use true or whatever, just don't. Nobody is forced to do anything.

  2. And this US with their crazy society is supposed to preach democracy around the world. Amazing. Someone gets 2 million votes more than the other and loses.

A constitution which is completely outdated, 250 years old, people getting shot on a daily basis, racism, 40 million people live in poverty. What do they have to teach others, with their cowboy mentality and Mc Donald diets? Not to mention they call their domestic sports championships, world series!! And their adoration of so called celebrities, standing up for anyone. Horrible.

  3. Sometimes I wonder what all those professional moaners and complainers do here, or if it is the same person always moaning and posting condescending comments.

Regarding True it is actually not their fault that some channels have been down or disrupted and if you are so poor that you need tho whine about a few hundred baht discount I suggest you go back to where you came from and live off the welfare system in your country.

  4. As far as rules and regulations are concerned they change once in a while in every country. I have had a business here for 12 years and there have not been any major changes in the process of renewing visa and work permit during all this time.

And frankly all this talk about brown envelopes is not only boring but untrue. If you do things according to the rules and law you don't have to provide any brown envelopes to anyone. If your intention or mentality is to cheat then maybe you have to pay someone to get your bs passed.

As far as taxes are concerned the rates are ridiculous comparing to European countries. Here you pay a maximum of 750 baht in contribution for staff, in Europe apart from the fact that salaries are 5-10 times higher you pay 35 % on top for contributions. And the services people get for all this tax money they take from you are in no way at the level they should be considering the amounts the governments take from businesses. Corporate tax is 20% after deductions you can make. Income tax is what 10-15 percent net on a million baht salary.

  5. It's actually not problematic at all to run a business here. I don't know what family affairs problems are with all his offices.

The only thing is that I would rather own my business at 100% and not having to give away 51% of it to people who have not invested anything but are partners.

It is actually quite amazing that a foreigner cannot own 100% of his business here. Apart from that, no major problems.

  6. Tiring to read all you clever foreigners whining and complaining about everything and thinking you know everything best. If its so terrible just go back to where you came from. The Shinawatra governments have only used the poor to enrich themselves as they are easy targets. Build a 200 meter paved road in the village and get the votes. Pay the poor to buy votes etc. Does anyone believe that those thieves care about the poor? If the thieving kids of Thaksin cared so much why did they evade paying billions in taxes through fraudulent manipulations. Buying shares from daddy for 1 baht and selling them five minutes for over 49, and pay zero tax!!

For the genius who wrote that the people have to pay rent for shops, really do you think people should rent shops for free? Are the shops rent free where you come from?

  7. What did that fool expect. And then he goes and makes another child with another one. Irresponsible idiot. Maybe they're in love with his beer belly. This story is so damned boring. If I had been that stupid I wouldn't go public with it and make an even bigger fool of myself. It's perfectly ok to invest here, WITH THE RIGHT KIND OF PEOPLE. And he uses his son to shoot videos and whine about this on Facebook.

  8. This is so typical and boring. Stupid farang "taking care of" some isaan, probably bargirl. Get a grip and never forget easy come easy go. It's always easy to spend other people's money. I bet when you go eat she orders loads of food and eat about 10 % of it.

Get her to find a job and learn that money doesn't come so easy, not even for farangs.

But basically if this is how she behaves, it's a lost case. Get rid of her!!

  10. BREAKING NEWS:

    Immigration crackdown on border runners

BANGKOK (thaivisa.com) -- Thai Immigration Bureau has issued a new regulation to be enforced from today, June 1, 2009.

In a crackdown on foreigners who regularly abuse the tourist exemption rule of getting 15 days stay at border entry points, the Immigration Bureau has confirmed and informed thaivisa.com of the following new regulation:

A foreigner who has entered the kingdom four (4) consecutive times on 15 days tourist exemption stamps, will not be allowed to leave the country and reenter Thailand. The only option is to exit Thailand and re-enter via an international airport, which will allow a further 30 day stay.

Thaivisa.com has today confirmed the new regulations with the Immigration checkpoints in Pong Nam Ron and Aranyaprathet at the Cambodian border. We have also got confirmation from bus visa run companies that the new regulations are enforced from today June 1, 2009. Immigration checkpoints bordering Laos, Myanmar and Malaysia are expected to enforce the regulation shortly.

The new rules does not affect holders of visas issued abroad. Foreigners are advised to apply for a Tourist visas or Non-Immigrant visas at a Royal Thai Embassy or consulate outside Thailand instead of abusing the 15 day exemption rule.

As usual, holders of Tourist visas will be given 60 days stay while Non-Immigrant visa holders will be allowed 90 days stay.

    -- thaivisa.com 2009-06-01

This is absolutely a correct thing to do. I wish all those farangs who complain about everything here would go back to where they came from. Ofcourse everybody is entitled to an opinion whereever they live. The Thai immigration laws are amongst the most liberal in the world. Where else can you live as a tourist for years and cross borders for five minutes and re-enter endlessly. Then one wonders what all those shady types around here live off in the first place.

Can you see a Thai citizen living as a tourist in Britain or the US for years doing nothing? It is hardly possible for them even to get a tourist visa for a two week holiday in other countries.

And this American idiot who thinks he saved the world because he built a house here, what a moron. He also has the stommach to say he paid his workers and wow gave them labour day off, wow what a benefactor. Maybe he thinks the Thai government should decorated him too and build a statue of him.

As long as you are in order you have no problems here and why people expect that they should be able to do whatever they want when they are guests here I do not understand.

And this money spending. What money do these people spend and where? The money spent in bars of various sorts does not benefit Thailand at all. Maximum it benefits shady foreigners who run such establishments taking advantage of underpriviliged people to work for them at abnormally low salaries. They could never run such places in the countries they come from as it would be illegal. Do these people pay tax? Hardly. At most they pay the absolute minimum required by law and the rest goes in to their pockets tax free.

So please stop this complaining about everything and since most of you complainers do nothing here from morning to evening you have ample time to sort out your visa problems in proper manners.

  11. I have a worrying question which i hope someone can help clarify for me-

I have a long outstanding debt to a UK Bank, not big, but enough. The debt collecting agency got my number here and has now said that if i don't pay it will be passed to the courts in UK to get a court order to approach immigration here and request the cancellation of any visas i have to stay in Thailand. I work here on a non B. Is this really possible ? Needless to say, I am very worried about this!

have you ever considered paying your debt? Nomral people pay their debts.
