This thread is making me thinking very serius to try a fish pont...
Thank you all for your knowledge.
I would like to ask a stupid question:
How you prevent other people to take some of your fish, during nightime?
If your fish pont isn't right next to your house...

Hi Lickey, et al
You guys in Isaan seem to be getting ripped off. You can check out the average prices paid as at 9th December 2008 for each part of Thailand here: http://www.thaitapiocastarch.org/market_detail.asp?id=204
For crops planted March/April 2008, I would recommend harvest from February 2009 onwards. Compared to harvesting just now, you will achieve further tuber growth and the starch percentage will improve.

Khonwan
thanks for the link!
I have planted on April 2008 and planning to harvest on April 2009...

It is not the same with Laos and Thailand.
Cypriots very often when abroad (outside of Cyprus) call themselves Greeks for other people to understand their nationality...

Thanks for the answer, Reimar!
Is there any possibility I can do this in Korat?

I have a new Nokia N95, bought in Greece (have many languages, but not Thai) and need to put Thai language and maybe some other things inside.
Where can I do this in Korat or in BKK?
Please any info would be highly apreciated.

Thailand is definitely different than Europe/U.S./western countries...don't take such a big step of moving to Thailand until you have visited the country several times for several weeks each time; "and looked at the country from the standpoint of living here versus partying here." It's a great country, but it takes some BIG adjustments when settling down for the long term in the country.
Very good advice.
I totally agree, but on the other hand if you are not married and have not started your carriere in Europe, you can always give yourself a chance to have a lifetime experience...

Thank you guys for all your answers...
It seems you can always learn something from this forum...

Member in the TV forum more than 4 months, but now have the time to write about me.
I am Greek going every 2-3 months in Thailand.
I love this amazing country and its smiling people. (I have been in 46 countries, but Thailand captured my heart...)
Many thanks to the owners and contributors of the best Thai forum for falangs...

Corruption is a cancer on thai society.
Unfortunately, thailand is not the only corrupted country... I am European and I see this very often in our "developted" countries...

Good One!!!!
Puffer for sure...

I think that double price is a little bit exagerating, but 20-30% since April is a reality...
-
More than 200 km/h at least 5 times every week with a Toyota MR2 MKIII, in Athens highways (Greece).
Top speed 270 km/h one time with a BMW M5 2007 with 507 horsepower (can go more but electronically limit up to 270 km/h), in Greece.
310 km/h with a friends Porsche 911 GT2, at a German autobahn near Munhen!
Max speed ever in Thailand 180 km/h trying to catch an airplane in BKK.
I know I am crazy, but I am already crazy going every 2-3 months in Thailand...

Sunny warm day, a little bit cold night, but not too cold to have the heater on... (Athens, Greece)

i worship the greek gods..it is back in vogue.
I am Greek and I am very glad you say this (even for joke)!!!!!!!
Although in Greece there must only around 1000 people who follow this...

I bought an apartment in Phuket for 2.9 in early 2004. If I sold now, it'd probably worth about 4.5? Not so thrilled with the return.
I bought in Dubai 1 1/2 years back. Sold a few months back. 40% profit.
I'm sure if Thailand dropped restrictions of foreigners buying property, you'd see the same kind of numbers for a few years.
Unfortunately, you are right, but what we can do ... our girfriends live in Thailand... and we are trying to find a way to make some profit over there...
