if saorsa is in Bangkok you can sell it to him I'm gonna take pictures from here and maybe get one made up or look fo a electrical wholesaler who has heavy duty cable tray which can be used to make one

    Thanks

I'm in Bangkok...well, actually, I'm in Kazakhstan right now, but I will be home next week. Once I get the ramp, I just need to buy a pickup truck!! :P

  2. I'm all the way down south in krabi what about postal options

Dunno. Will have to get back to you. But its heavy so maybe have to be a freight company like OK TRANSPORT

    sent from my Wellcom A90+

If Taninthai doesn't take it, I would like to buy it.

I was given a price of 4000 bht for the one in the Honda brochure good stand but way to expensive saw another one for 1200 bht but it didn't have a locking system looked like it could collapse to easy.

I just use a low wooden chair now pretty easy to get the bike on and off it once you get used to it.

What I am looking for now is a ramp to get the bike on the truck seen one for 4500 bht way to much again anyone know of others available

Do a search on this forum for 'bike ramp' , a couple of guys bought ramps for pickups a year or 2 ago.

  4. I think I will be there with the mrs...5000b for 2 of us is a bit steep, but will be worth it to see Dave Mustaine live again

  5. Another Farang with a Harley in Nonthaburi, yeah! That makes two

I've a 07 streetbob. Are there any others?

I don't visit this forum much so couldn't help you with directions

Good on ya for helping out the Thai family btw

I'm planning a move to Min Buri along with my 09 Night train next year

There's a chap with a Harley Sportster in Minburi. I ride a Versys and stay not too far away in Lat Krabang.

Cool, maybe we can get out for a run some time. I'm also planning to buy a dirt bike and take it to the place that BigBikeBKK went to that is nearby. I'm buying some land when I get home from offshore next month, then it will take until this time next year probably to get the house built.

  6. Chemical metal in a brand new bike? Wouldn't be my choice.

Go get your rad fixed or replaced.

Depends if you are going to fall off again or not. If you are new to offroad, then it is likely you will drop the bike quite often until you get used to it. Better to use cheap fixes until you get the hang of it.

  7. oh deartook a little drop offroad today looks like radiator damaged any tips on how to repair or is it just easier to sttraight swap for new one

it looks like the radiator has bent or moved so then when the fan come on it was toching radiator and it seems to have worn a hole need to get it all of bike for better look

Opps, just noticed the fluid on the floor. Maybe some chemical metal could help to seal it and then make sure the fan can't hit it anymore.

  8. Corner of Soi 4.

Next to Asia Books (just before Robinson)

Soi 22? (around there 20/22/24) actually inside the Soi, not on Sukhumvit.

Is there still one just before Soi 23?

    actually soi 26.....nothing in 20/22/24

There is one at the Rama 4 end of Soi 24.

  9. Wow, what a way to make your third post. I took a look at VF's blog for first time the other day while avoiding doing work again and my impression was that he has his life pretty well sorted the way he wants. Why do you think you need children to be fulfilled? That just shows you lack something inside yourself.

Thanks for the kind words saorsa and thanks for stopping by the blog. With 275 posts you are bound to find something of interest if you stop by again and browse around a little. A little work avoidance is not an altogether bad thing.thumbsup.gif

I'm becoming a bit of an expert in work avoidance on this job...delegation is the key! :)

  10. Can not believe no one corrected my spelling mistake.

OP - seriously, have you been to Bangkok before? You can not relate it to European capitals and cities like Paris and London, and certainly not to American ones. MiG16 is right. Just find somewhere you can afford to live and forget about loft / warehouse living. A warehouse with no walls, barely a roof, no public transport, built and not maintained for 40yrs will still set you back 40k a month minimum, and you will be surrounded by the properly poor (not romantic struggling artists and musicians)

Lastly, and no one has asked this yet, how are you planning to actually live here? What visa will you be getting? Will you be selling your work and therefore need a work permit? Have you investigated this? As said before, this is not gay Paris. If you do not necessarily have to move to Bangkok, you might find what you are looking for in PP, Cambodia.

I'm guessing you were talking about whorehouses, but nobody bit...
