  1. Lets say he does get banned. Can't he just get a new passport and enter right away again?

After all, when you get a new passport you also get a new passport number and surely Thai immigration don't ban you based on your name.

Getting a new passport does not erase the records in immigration's database. They can and will do a name and date of birth search the first time a person enters the country with a new passport or one that does not have a history of previous entries in the database.

Two John Smiths could easily be born on the same day and year. Bit harsh to ban them all, because one overstay.

Have you forgotten about the photos taken on entry which are stored on the database alongside passport detail ?

What has the photo got to do with this? it will come up with the data keyed in?

  2. Stopped readimg after the 1st 11 posts. The guy is looking for answers and here again there are so many of you pointing fingers.

Even if you have everything in order you only get in if the IO iwants to. Don't think these things cannot happen to anyone of you finger pointers.

    Sent from my S4 LTE

Have a good look at your hand when you point at someone. Notice that three fingers are pointing right back at you.

I always thought people could strike up a request for help and people on TV would give out their many pearls of wisdom. I was wrong,as most of you lot seem to be busy bodies and or bar encyclopedias.

Thanks UbonJoe for your wise words and helpfulness. I respect your advise.

You will have noticed that the OP failed to acknowledge or respond to UJ's sound and objective advice.

And how do you know that?? ever heard of PM'ing get facts before you slag..

  3. Because i pay them at 7/11, you need to have the bill to pay it, they refuse any other way. I already tried. I remember when i was not receiving the bills they refused to take my payment until i could present the bill to them. I had to go there in person to ask for a reissue of the bill and it took them 2 month to do it.

I don't care about a few thousands baht, but it's not easy to pay bills without the bills.

I got deported, the officer told me i'm being deported and i was in a cell. In my stop to Dubai in my way back i was also in a cell and escorted by officers who gave me back my passport only in my country.

They insisted telling me i was working in Thailand i said no till the end because i wasn't working in Thailand.

Forget explaining yourself to this lot, they don't get it-they probably send the missus to do their bill paying whilst on bar stools..my building has a private ISP and can only pay bills at the condo office in cash for the know all's out there. You asked a question :Can you get back in" that's all you need to know and want-lay off guys and answer the question.

  4. Hi,

Could someone verify the 'tourist visa requirements' I have a friend wishing to come in June on tourist visa for 60 day then travelling onto the U.S.

Can he apply for the tourist visa NOW as he will be travelling. He is of the belief that he can only apply for the visa 90 days before he arrives in Thailand

He doesn't want to go the visa exempt and the 30 day extension path.

  5. Actually a reasonable person doesn't use his own ignorance as a basis for a conclusion, you only can consider one option completely ignoring the other: that the CCTV footage is immaterial to the crime. You don't know either way.

For example (and I am not actually making the allegation): I don't know whether you are working for the defense team and being paid for posting in ThaiVisa or not, but I'm just going to assume that as true and act accordingly because it is self reassuring and it would reinforce some of my preconceived notions. Would you take that as a reasonable attitude?

Interesting that you should now be using the word reasonable to try to discredit people.

There is one thing that for sure does not stand the test of reasonableness in my eyes, and that is why yourself and some other posters who share your views would spend hours and hours and hours reading all these posts, posting comments, responding to posts, researching previous posts, researching news articles, monitoring threads, stepping in if you dislike the direction a thread is headed etc. etc.... it is an awful lot of work that you have dedicated to these threads when the bottom line is you are doing this based on nothing more than a hunch. A gut feeling that the RTP have got it right this time. Because you don't have any more evidence at your fingertips than the rest of us do, correct?

The fact that historically the RTP have not got a great track record of always getting the right guys does not seem to affect this hunch of yours. Did you think they had got the right guys during the Sherry Ann Duncan investigation a few years back:

    http://www.nationmultimedia.com/home/THE-MURDER-OF-SHERRY-ANN-DUNCAN-A-travesty-of-just-86893.html

And incidents such as the recent case of Jaysukh Sudra, a former supermarket executive for Tesco's, Asda and Co-Op in the UK who it appears was treated terribly and unjustly by Thai Police apparently have no bearing on your belief that they got it right this time. (There are several online news reports that give the official party line to this story, but AD has done some additional investigation so I suggest those who are interested take a look on his site. It is quite shocking if true.)

And of course we should take track record into account, because for sure if the 2 Burmese lads had a track record of committing violent crimes, that would be taken into account, so why should the track record of their accusers be ignored, particularly when their conduct in this investigation has some serious question marks hanging over it.

I think a reasonable and prudent man would have no choice but to feel there is reasonable doubt surrounding the RTP's case.

For every action anyone takes there has to be motivation. I can understand those who spend their time on these forums being motivated to do so because they see an injustice occurring, and believe it worthwhile to take the time to voice their concerns that 2 young men are possibly about to lose their lives because of this injustice. What I cannot understand is what motivates you to go to the lengths you are going to when really, a one-liner back when these threads started would suffice - something along the lines of; "For what it's worth, I think the RTP have got the right guys this time".

So what could be your motivation for posting so fervently when the RTP investigation is taking exactly the course that you want it to take? Why not put your feet up and relax? I for one would be very interested to hear a reply that wasn't simply reconfirming your gut feel, because if whatever it is that motivates you could also motivate me in the same way it would save me a lot of time reading and posting on these threads.

What motivates me is that when I see people spouting BS I don't stay quiet, as you'd like me to.

I find it ironic and hypocritical that the same people that think they are fighting a conspiracy to hide the truth are the same that have repeatedly attempted to silence and ignore anyone that doesn't buy their "truth"

    Sigh.......

That looks like the guy in Hong Kong who murdered two girls in his apartment. BTW my cousin lives in the same apartment block w00t.gif

I agree, he does look like the Hong Kong guy who had a fetish for Asian girls.

He and the girl would be capable of handling David and Hannah on their own. But...wrong DNA.

  7. What's all the fuss? We all know that this will be covered up just like the last murders. There is no rule of law against the rich and powerful.

I still don't think this was a murder.

I disagree, murderers would have made him write the suicide note, a very short one I may add. The Swiss dive master that went snorkelling and washed up with shoes on is another question mark that needs investigating he was an experienced diver.

  8. Another thought. The stained trousers could have belonged to James Ware. What time did he leave the island the night before the murders? And what transport did he use? Why did he leave? James is Chris's younger brother I think I read. Blood is thicker than water the saying goes.

Also, we have seen from the CCTV video that something happened on the eve and morning of 14/15 Sept as David was seen walking past the food stall. We saw a crowd of people looking in the direction of where David was coming from as if something was going down - someone shouting maybe at David. And in another video we saw the couple at the food stand looking in the direction of where David was coming from, again, the woman's face as if something odd was going on. We then see what looks like Chris Ware and one of Hannahs friends (to me anyway) arrive at the stall and David carries on walking down the street. It could have been that Ware was having issues with David or shouting at him because the woman at the stall then turns her attention back to the stall once this bloke that looks like Ware is there. We don't see anyone else walk past in that video that takes her attention. Or maybe someone was shouting at both Chris and David and they went in the other direction so did not come into view of the CCTV camera.

Also, that picture that was put up of David after he had been murdered - he had a black eye. Because we have no footage to look at from ANY source after 2am ish with David or Hannah in it, it may be possible that David got that black eye before he was murdered. Even before he got to the beach. Maybe in one of the bars, maybe at the Ocean View accommodation, or somewhere in the street or a side alley. The friends know lots plenty and that's why the defence is asking them to take the stand. They are no doubt living in terrible fear and know that whatever they say will not bring Hannah and David back. And it appears the UK police also want to protect them by refusing to do what they should be doing which is taking a stand and getting independent DNA tests done for the sake of the victims, their families and and all the other naive youngsters that are planning to take the holiday of a lifetime.

    attachicon.gifJames Ware.jpg

interesting photo , to me that looks like the guy in the white baggy shirt that arrives at the food stall with the female friend , just as david continues up the road to get some fags . There is a bit of footage where david seems to come out of the bar / shop on the otherside of the road to the foods stall ( lower left of the stall )

    James Ware I believe.

James Ware was in Bangkok when the murders took place. He and Chris were due to fly home on the15th.

The only crime Chris is guilty of is being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

No point trying to make-up stories about either of them. Remember DNA is Asian origin.

  9. Seems we are all getting a little confused. We were told they were a pair of trousers. From there you have changed them to a pair of pants and now a pair of shorts.

What is the need to change the trousers into shorts ?

You can carry on with the good policing. Just got to hope no one catches you out changing the name of things to fit the story.

    http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/thailand-top-bangkok-cop-flies-koh-tao-investigate-david-miller-hannah-witheridge-murders-1466049

Yes, they were trousers, not shorts, doesn't change a thing:

Miller and Ware were sharing a room, the police investigated the room, found a pair of trousers with what they thought may be blood stains; since it would had been improvable for Miller to go back to his room to change blood stained clothing after being murdered the police assumed the trousers may be Ware's. Now here is where things diverge between the people speculating here and actual police work, with that assumption they actually tested the trousers, no blood; furthermore, they determined they were Miller's trousers so they moved on; on the other hand the people that cling to speculation regardless of facts and developments are still stuck wondering about the bloody trousers.

Are you quoting from what the police said? Or did you actually witness the investigation? I don't think you were there to witness the investigation. So everything you based your argument are from hearsay from the police statement. And nothing has been checked or validated by any one. Or have you checked it?

Simple answer please, can you confirm and validate the report by the police? If not, then using the statement to prove your point is pointless and speculation as well. For all we know, it was fabricated. Unless you can provide solid proof that it is true.

The RTP, at this point has a very low credibility.

The claim that the police planted bloody trousers in Chris Ware's luggage to try to frame him comes from armchair "detectives" with a chip on their shoulders and is supported by nothing but their own imagination, so yes, I'll take a police statement against that any day of the week.

Besides that, you still don't understand how the concept of burden of proof works.

The police admitted it WAS them who planted the bloody/muddy trousers. Suggest you head back and re-read posts from the beginning.

You are seriously painfull and clueless.

  10. Surely it cant be to hard for a lawyer to prove these to guys are innocent. 1st theres photos of them being DNA tested the following day and cleared. One was wearing the same tshirt he was seen in on the video the night of the murders, he also had it on 3 weeks later when arrested. Surely it would have been blood splattered and even the most stupid person would have got rid of it. Why did the police anounce we had one in custody and the other has fled to Bangkok with evidence to link them to the murder and then after a visit from the brother of the one in custody and father of the one in BKK, the whole story suddenly changed. I havent spoken to one person who believes this story Thai or farang. Shouldnt the lawyer pull in the cop as a witness and ask how the story changed so quickly, what about the classmates of the one in Bangkok get them into to court to say he was definetly there. Also if the mobile phone data hasnt been deleted already it would prove where he was, be it BKK or Koh Tao. I hope the UK does something about this and hasnt just sent the cops over to keep everyone quite. It would be horrible to see to young men executed just to cover for a couple of spineless cowards.

To answer your doubts, the B2 are on trial, not anyone else. The RTP will say there was a backlog of DNA testing, and the suspects results came back at a later date, so they weren't cleared. (see page 450 of our 900 page report) They will say, it's not the same t-shirt. (see page 600 of our 900 page report) They will say other suspects were eliminated (see page 750 of our 900 page report).

All in all, it would be difficult to challenge such assertions without any evidence to the contrary. That's why the dice are loaded in the prosecution's favour.

    Have you seen the report..

  11. So the caption should read:

    "No we were over there"

"No you weren't you two were over there?" That's what we forced you to say in the confessions"

This is my 'favourite' photo, if I can call it such a thing. I love the frustrated look on the cop in the center's face. What a complete farce. And all those 'hard' faces they made for the camera as they stood behind their scapegoats. Burn in hell.

    Hmm, smiling assassins.

  12. Here is what the Guardian wrote 6 minutes ago:

Thawatchai Saengjaew, chief of the Public Prosecution’s Region 8 Office, told the Bangkok Post that authorities would indict Zaw Lin, 21, on five counts – the murder of Miller, the rape and murder of Witheridge, illegal entry into Thailand and staying in the country without permission. Win Zaw Htun, 21, faces the same charges and an additional count of stealing a mobile phone and sunglasses from Miller.

First the mobile phone saga, now the sunglasses? Wow! Didn't hear about that one before! Makes sense to carry your sunglasses with you at night, does it? Any pictures of David carrying his sunglasses around that night? Is this the missing piece of crucial evidence that couldn't be disclosed to the public? This whole case is beyond evil.......

Sunglasses at 3am!! were the sunglasses verified as being his.

The boys were taken captive long after the british departed for home so the police would have had to have sent the glasses with the phone to england for family to identify as being his.

David supposedly left his room at 1.30am to go and buy cigarettes according to Chris Ware.

  13. Yes this case has caused shock and distress and Alarm at the obvious injustice

Our Family decided the best protest was to select another country for our holidays -

India is this years new destination.

We will miss Thailand - but it needs reforming in more ways than one.

And until the people decide who governs *(which is not a Bangkok mob or men with guns)

    Its simply not worth going.

Unfortunately The Thai authorities will not worry too much because you and a few other Farangs have and will decide to holiday elsewhere. Thailand's target group is now the 1.3 billion Chinese, soon to be followed by the 1.2 billion Indians.

That'll be a reduction in bikini clad women on the beaches.

  14. Another Kho Tao mystery involving dead falang(s) - how many of these deaths can this God forsaken Island stand before people realise that its best to stay away from this hellhole ?

I'd say there's a lot more to these stories. The swiss guy was a divemaster who went snorkeling with shoes on?? everyone seems to have moved on with this story.

Murder Beach should be off tourists destination. The myanmar boys are about to front court on the evidence or lack thereof which will be rushed through with a guilty verdict. Still leaves time for the tourists to flock there feeling safe now the murderers are locked up.

  15. If you are concerened about this crap, you are far too involved in the country. Its not your country, its the Thais country and you need to get on with your life, be it here or not be here. If you choose to stay here then get used to the shitty way things happen here.

Do you live in Pattaya? if not mind your business. People like yourself are the first to complain if they fell down a hole, broken leg-arm,

the Thai's themselves are embarrassed, "kannot fix neung time now fix song not good" you actually call it "shitty things" how dare you.
