My battery I bought was already charged at just over 13 volts, been draining it a couple of time at getting the bike to start.
My battery charger is OK and also a slow charger too and not able to fully charge the battery but enough to get the bike to start then the new reg/rec fitted now, charges it to full.
The battery came with the acid in little bottles (mail order) so it was flat. Took about 8 hours to fully charge. I used to use a car charger - could charge it in an hour, but I think that's what did for the last battery. My new charger has a 'bike' setting (and also a 6V option, which will be handy for my little classic Honda).
I only use the CRF at odd weekends, so the battery often went flat.

Impressive. We had a 'wormarium' at the office when I worked in UK - all the leftovers from lunch went in to it.
Think I'll get one for the Thai office - but all our leftovers seem to be taken home in plastic bags.

It's a start - but not importing other country's plastic waste would be good too.

It is a very arrogant or thoughtless pilot that would not fly the first hundred miles after takeoff without disabling the AOA (Angle Of Attack) sensor. This downing I'm blaming on pilots that were too lazy to takeoff manually.
Perhaps that is not what they instructed to do? Would this be a contravention of their procedures?
I read that the computers in the new 737 Max were designed to make it fly like the older 737, despite the larger engines, so pilots are not supposed to do anything different?

Would also be good if Thai laws could ban use of pesticides and herbicides that are illegal in Europe and US.
Would help export trade too.

It’s a big modern looking boat. How the f. did he manage to turn that over?
Modern yes, but it looks like it has a very high freeboard - so may not be stable in large waves?
I guess another factor is that swimming lessons are not common in the normal state schools in China. I've seen snorkelling groups from China, and many just float about in life jackets.
Interesting that the other boat that capsized had Western tourists, and all 39 were rescued.
I know some on the Chinese tour boat were trapped inside, but if you can swim confidently, you can stay calm and find a way out. Non swimmers may panic.

Yes, I was aware of the BBC web site reports, but I meant the live TV news reports. Main item was the boys in the cave, second was an accident at a waterfall in Canada where 3 people died, next was the World Cup. No mention of Phuket at all. Same on RT which of course opened with reports on London nerve gas incident, then went straight to the football.
Perhaps boat accidents are not TV news-worthy, or there's not enough video footage to hold people's limited attention?

Well, by 10 pm tonight, the link to this OP report on The Nation website no longer seems to be valid, and I'm not finding the OP story (at least 40 dead) on their website at this point.
The story didn't get any coverage on the BBC, RT or French news at midnight (Thai time) tonight, although Thai Channel 5 had a report with video from Phuket.
Perhaps the contradictory local report and confused numbers are making the international media concerned about reporting accuracy?

They've done their job and gone home for well earned tea and biscuits. From what I've heard each team had a clear role, and the UK divers had the unique experience in laying the ropes whilst diving in very difficult conditions - so they had to go first.
Now the ropes are in place, the medical specialists and local divers can come and go as needed.
So a great team effort by all, including some people who are not in the cave, such as Thai Airways.

Those heroic guys must have a seriously high resistance to claustrophobia! And be incredibly fit.
And credit to the Thai Navy team who were supporting them - they will not be used to working under such conditions.

Great to hear that English accent in the video. As everybody knows, all movie hero's (and villains) speak with an English accent!
And finding those kids is better than winning the World Cup.

I have an LG soundbar with the separate, powered sub woofer.
Very reliable bluetooth wireless connections, comes on when I turn on the TV, never need to touch it's remote, so no faffing needed.
Sound quality seems good to me, certainly good enough for a small house. Voices are also much clearer than the (LG) TV speakers too.

I can see how saying "I completely refute your claim ...." could be seen as an unnecessarily aggressive response, then listing bikes to demonstrate your experience could be taken as trying to demean the other poster.
Yes it's a discussion forum, but if you we're having a chat in a bikers bar, and someone mentioned a 650 cruiser could be tough in traffic, and you replied with "I completely refute your claim", you'd end up in the 'Billy no mates' corner with the old duffer who talks about the unusual tyre wear on his Panther sloper outfit.
And let's be honest, a 650 long wheelbase cruiser in Bangkok traffic is not everyones idea of heaven, so respecting another posters personal opinion is just being polite, even of you went on to say that your experience differs.

Yamaha Tricity Update
in Motorcycles in Thailand
Posted
The Tricity 155 was sold for a while in Thailand, and I've seen a few about. I've heard that it's now only available as a special order in Thailand as all the production is for export to Europe and Australia/NZ.
The Bangkok Motorbike Festival starts tomorrow, so may be the place to find out if it's still available here.
