Are you joking? I wouldn’t pay to watch those overpaid pansies rolling about on the ground as though they’re going to die just because they’ve been tapped on the ankle! Who in their right mind would? Now Rugby I would!

RubbaJohnny, I agree with all you suggest but it’s the Thai mentality that needs to change & I don’t think that’s going to happen in our life time. Take care

Thanks Transam, but do you know where I can get this job done as I can’t find anywhere that will do it?

There is no mention of valve seat replacement in the service manual if the spec is out of limits after recutting the head is to be replaced! So I need to find someone/somewhere who can recut the seats to spec. Does anyone one know where I can get this done?
Thanks guys

SR Machine shop is still in business I used him to make some drill guides about 6 months ago.
Are you trying to tell me to have him make some new valve seats or that he can recut my valve seats?
In my service manual it says to replace the head if the valve seats have been recut but are out of spec not sure they can be replaced so I need someone that knows what they are doing & can be trusted.
Thanks again

I have already lapped my intake & exhaust valves but the majority of them are still leaking when I do the water leak test, so I’m thinking my valve seats are bad & need refreshing/re cutting!
Can someone please advise me of a competent place that can do the valve seat cutting?
Thanks again guys

Thanks for your reply, I need to find a place that can do the valve seat re cutting preferably in the Pattaya area but I will travel if need be....Do you know of anyone/anywhere that can be trusted to do the job?
Thank you

I initially did a valve leak test using water & most of the valves leaked....I have lapped new valves in myself but it has not cured the leak problem so I’m wanting to get the seats recut. Just wanting to know any place that can be trusted with the task.
Thanks

Does anyone know the law/regulations regarding using car tyres on motorcycles in Thailand? Can they be used legally?
Just seen on YouTube, in the USA some are using Car tyres mainly on the rear of motorcycle as they “say” they last 4 times longer than motorcycle tyres & do not have too much adverse affect on handling?

Does anyone know the horse power of the Thai Kawasaki Ninja 400?
I'm asking as I believe there are differences depending on the country it is sold in.
Canada has a 50 bhp version!

I would ask which monkey house she is in, then try & confirm she is there first
Hope you get this sorted!

Sounds to me it could be dirty fuel, I would change the fuel filter.
Hope you solve your problem.

I was looking for a club or group that I could join for meet up's & drive outs. Any other farrang out there want the same thing?
I do the maintenance myself, the parts I bring back myself as I work abroad.
Going stage 1 in a couple of weeks, probably APR.
Drive safe, Chris

Konying,
I admire you for your charity...but as you said, he needs help, but I'm not sure what form of help is needed? If the Thai authorities detain him, what would his future be?

Hi guys,
Are there any expats who own a Volkswagon....or is there a VW club for farrang/expats?
I have joined the VW society club, but unfortunately the website is in Thai & mainly Thai nationals (as expected)& do not receive any information with regards to meet ups, club meetings etc.
