  1. Does anyone know where i can buy raw or unpasteurized honey, as the honey in the supermarkets say 100% pure but they are pasteurized, which basically means the enzymes are taken out. Ceylon Cinnamon sticks is another ingredient i need. A Health shop might be the answer ? Anywhere in the Pattaya area ?, If not i will have to go to Bangkok which is a drag

  2. So if a fibre optic cable is run to the building or estate etc and then an ordinary cable from there to your house or condo I assume that will effect the 10mb that your supposed to be getting or is that wrong??

    Jimmy

Well its working fine for me and iv had it faster than thispost-65043-0-52674100-1314185930_thumb.png

  3. Sophan cable have just installed fibre optic cable in my estate up soi siam country club, I pay 1290 baht a month, They state that it is 10mb download speed. Well what a surprise i had it is, i have done a speed test on it, A really good investment. I had 3B before and the speed was nowhere near the speed they claim it is. I paid for 5mb with 3B and was lucky to get 2MB on a good day, most days about 1.5 MB

  4. If you don't have to buy it in Thailand, get it at home... I spent 22,000 baht on a computer in the U.S. which costs 54,000 baht at Tucom.

Spot on, I bought my laptop in the UK cost me 20000 baht would have cost around 45000 baht here, for the same spec and no dodgy copy stuff on it.

  5. Actually, not quite correct.

Your company stamps are registered when they are created for your company - usually 2 sets.

If you lose a stamp you need to get a police report and get a new one issued correctly.

In theory, you could get a quick copy made for 50 baht and use it an no one will ever know.

But if you do a business transaction with that new stamp and it is slightly different from the original, then the documents you are stamping can become fraudulent documents - which in the case of selling an asset or submitting legal documents "could" become an issue. I have seen this happen, mostly in business partnership disputes where one party had "real" stamps and the other party made "copy" stamps that had one small error. All the court documents submitted by the "copy" stamp were deemed fraudulent.

In short, look after those stamps...they are a lot more than a blob of rubber on a stick. They are legally registered with the Government and taken seriously.

TIT mate. Yes it's a good idea to make a police report in case someone uses your original stamp but then after you make the report simply do as Phil suggested and get a new one made. Where you are getting these ideas of the registered stamps all have hidden ways of giving them a "signature" I have no idea. Maybe you have been watching the Universal channel (Law & Order" to much or something but when you originally register your business through your lawyer where do you think THEY get the stamps from?

No there are no stamp police in Thailand and I would LOVE to see proof of the story you tell where you have seen different disputes like this? You mention the word "mostly," how many have you seen? haha several? I don't think so.

I don't think the OP is an official or a Government representative where his stamps can be used for Visas, work permits etc, just a normal faring company stamp so I suggest you do as said, go get a new one at any stamp store.

PS: are you saying that if your dog takes a bite out of your original stamp or someones high heels take a chunk out that you would make a police report, pay a lawyer 7000 baht and get a new one "legally" made? Trust me mate, stamps wear out, get lost, get nicked etc so your idea of a small error in a stamp in a law case not being the same is just outrageous here in LOS

Actually I won't "trust you mate".

You are confusing the stamp you had made for your tinpot Thai company to substantiate your work permit with that of a large Thai company with real Directors, shareholders, creditors and assets, where company stamps are registered for a reason.

Somehow, from your post, I doubt you will ever have to worry about this. "Somchais Rubber Stamps and Visa Runs" will sort you out.

    Carry on.

By the way ' im not your mate thank god and i dont trust you', what a tard you are, wrong about my company status and wrong about visa runs, thank you to everyone else who has been so helpful, but you always get 1 presumptuous tard to comment in Pattaya whos full of BS

  6. Hi, I have just purchased an LG optimus black android phone and want to use google navigaton turn by turn, I can get the google map up that shows my location, but when i go to navigate, it comes up 'checking navigation availability' and that is all. is it the internet spEed not enough or do i need to download any google software ?

  7. I have lost my company stamp, my Lawyer tells me i need a police report and it will cost 7000 baht, seems like the normal rip off to me , but a friend of mine told me i can get 1 made for 39 baht in Bangkok Secon Square, where are they made in Pattaya so i can go direct and have 1 made there, i dont fancy going to Bangkok.

  8. A new bar restaurant opened on the Darkside last night but i forgot the name. It's located directly across from the PJ bar and restaurant on Soi Khow Noi.

I had a shock when i looked at the price of my Singha light beer which was priced at 29 baht.

    Beat that for price!!

I won't be a regular as it's not my scene with no ladies or S/T rooms which moves it down the order but a comfortable place to chill out mid afternoon.

Its called the starlight bar and yes it is very cheap, in fact the cheapest in Pattaya i dont know of a cheaper bar, The kin yaws are queueing up to get in there, but if your worried that you cant get your leg over in there, Dont worry just 100 yards up on the other side you can do that in the Black Sheep Bar, Very helpful ladies to take care of your needs.

  9. ^ Not sure if your reply was for me as your quoted someone else. Anyway, I tried Cider, it tastes awful. Eww! :)

your a yank right, looks like us brits have got to teach you a bit of culture and class, well youve gave us macdonalds i suppose biggrin.gif

  10. Hi everyone just an update on TNC the new batch of cider has just came out and the brewery has tweaked the recipe by adding 20% more apple to it, its even better than b4, yummy yummy

As it is supposed to be 100% apples in the first place, according to the company website, adding more apple would seem impossible, would it not ?

Hi Phil, The only fruit in TNC Cider is apple, adding 20% more apple concentrate gives it more body, I dont think this a problem by improving a new product, That is already selling well with nearly no marketing, this is a alcoholic drink not an apple juice drink, I hope you understand the explanation, I suggest you get it down your gullet and enjoy, You wont be disappointed

  11. Hi, I would like to know who is the main drinks distributor for Koh Chang and the surrounding areas, As my wife Annie is selling a new cider on the market, Thailand 1st Cider produced here, Im sure it will sell well there, as its already a hit in Pattaya, Phuket and other areas its only been out 2 for less than months, there's nothing in the Thai yellow pages

  12. i have just got in from an inpromptu meal decision at Oscars off Siam Country Club Road and i just had to tell you all what a delight it was

the food looked & was delicious

    the prices were reasonable

    the service was excellent

good quality sound, played at the right levels

good music choices (for me anyway)

    the surroundings were romantic

Oscars puts others to shame and is a great find in my view

i would never have known about it without this thread

i will be going back very soon

i just wish i had made the effort and gone sooner

here here il 2nd that im a regular there

  13. Thank you very much, thats nice to hear, il buy you a cider when we bump into each other blink.gif

Thanks for that info on the website, I went to the website, found the distributors number, she was very helpful, A Thai lady called Annie her mobile is : she told me she sells it to bars and restaurants mainly, but she delivered a case to my house today and charged me 50 baht a bottle x 24 = 1200 baht, tins always seem to have that tinny and gassy taste to me and of course a lot more expensive than the Thai cider, I am personally from Somerset the heart of cider country and it was quite a surprise to me how good it is, theirs no chemicals or additives in it , guess what i woke up without an hangover blink.gif Thats a 1st considering its 5.5 alcohol content, blink.gif

Hi Darkside, thats great to hear your comments on the cider, Annies my wife and its her distribution business and she will be really pleased to hear the positive feedback

galowgala, its great stuff, i first had it at Oscars on Siam Country Club, then lucky time bar on Numgplabwan

i have had both sweet and dry versions

the dry marginally has the edge for me but both are delicious

congrats to you both for seeing a ready market

i hope you do very well out of it

  14. As an avid cider drinker I am always happy to see new products come on the market here.

I thought I would ask my local to carry it until I tried it as I would hardly call it cider. An interesting taste but not cider.

My local bar owner also had reservations about the shelf life of the bottles. If as 'Darksidedonk' says it has no additives at all then that life would be about 2 weeks. The one I drank didn't give a use by date and the manufacturing date was early December which puts it out of date already.

From 'Darksidedonk's' comments it suggests to me that he/she has a vested interest in TNC.

Imported ciders have a shelf life of around 10 months by the time they get delivered to the bars.

As to the cheapness of the 'cider' my favourite 'Natch' is 500ml and costs me 100 baht/can when I buy a case privately. If a comparison is made to the 300ml bottles at 50 baht/bottle (privately) then the true cost for TNC for the same amount is just over 83 baht. I think for an extra16-17 baht I will stick with a real cider.

Cider does not have a 'tinny' taste (I've never heard someone from Somerset refer to it that way) as it suggests everything that comes in aluminium including draft beers has a 'tinny' taste. Aluminium containers are used because they don't leach into the product.

I dont know how mr natch rep works that 1 out, when the average selling price in a bar for TNC is 80 baht and the average selling price in a bar for natch is is 150 baht, the lowest i have seen TNC in a bar is 60 baht

  15. mm funny, thats my wifes The sole distributor for south east Thailand, as far as i know she hasn't employed anyone else that are computer literate, she would have told me if DARKSIDEDONK was an employee, looks like you have have a vested interest in natch yourself business or friend wise, as you are a newbie member just signed up this morning and gone straight to the cider comments that wasn't even on the 1st page, why would you do that ?.

I think its a good reply by yourself as it looks like you don't like competition are you worried about competition, With TNC cider already in more than 60 establishments in such a short time in the Pattaya area alone and reordering on a regular basis and it tells me its a winner, good luck with your product, i think there's more than 1 beer on the market doing well, so why not cider ?? its a growth market cider in the UK, so why not give the consumer the choice in Thailand.

Let the consumer decide whether they want it or not, Why would you not call it a cider ??? its made with apples ??? and 5.5 alcohol so if you check a dictionary out you will see that an alcoholic drink with apples in is cider. I also note that you have gone to great lengths to have the government stickers translated sounds unless you can actually read Thai yourself, well i have better things to do

  16. I wish to apply for a work permit, I'm from the UK originally , It will be a distribution business, I already have a company here for my house and have a marriage visa, I have been told varying prices from different friends on what the price should be, What is a fair price and are there any other costs involved beside the annual fees.

  17. Thanks for that info on the website, I went to the website, found the distributors number, she was very helpful, A Thai lady called Annie her mobile is : 0899360344 she told me she sells it to bars and restaurants mainly, but she delivered a case to my house today and charged me 50 baht a bottle x 24 = 1200 baht, tins always seem to have that tinny and gassy taste to me and of course a lot more expensive than the Thai cider, I am personally from Somerset the heart of cider country and it was quite a surprise to me how good it is, theirs no chemicals or additives in it , guess what i woke up without an hangover blink.gif Thats a 1st considering its 5.5 alcohol content, blink.gif

Only 5.5%, that reminds me of warm dishwater (American beer), How about some real cloudy stuff at 8%+.:whistling:

PS what size are the bottles.

Well originally the brewery had it at 8% and i can tell you now the bar owners would be none too pleased at that strength, people would be off there heads after 1, with the lads fighting and the girls clawing there eyes out, In fact the bar owners are saying they have to tell there girls not to drink too much of it as they were too drunk before there shift finished and when you consider most of the other ciders are about 4.7% and dont forget this product has only been on the market for 2 weeks and is growing unbelievably fast, looking at your logo you are probably a cider sales person, good luck to your product, im sure its very nice.

  20. I service mine at Toyota main dealer. You can probably find cheaper but at least if you're not satisfied with the work there is a proper complaints procedure etc, not that I've ever had a problem. BTW, you cam belt was probably due for a change at 100k, maybe worth having done if you're not sure it's been changed.

Thank you sir your quite right i need the cam belt changed as well, but a friend of mine just got ripped by em, so i wondered if there was any private family run service stations that could be trusted to do the job properly
