  1. Yes, there is no direct charge to my Lloyds account but the transfered amount is reduce by a 'correspondent bank' charge of about £5 on the amount I usually send. I don't know why, but suspect that it's because Lloyds don't have a 'partner' bank in Thailand. My Krungthai statement shows the reduced GBP amount deposited. If I multiply this figure by their daily published deposit exchange rate for telegraphic transfer I can work out that Krungthai make a charge of Bt250 for the deposit. I just live with it.
  2. I've had Lloyds account since 1971. When I moved to Thailand in 2007 Lloyds suggested I transfer my account to Jersey, Lloyds International. Although not in the UK it has a UK sort code and both my pensions are paid in every month. It also carries my Thai address. Every month I do a SWIFT transfer to my Krungthai account here. The overseas transfer capability (SWIFT) is an option in the Lloyds banking app on my smartphone. Very simple.
