  1. Hey guys,

I don't know if you guys seen the we-love websites franchises created by back to basics web designers.

http://www.welove-travel.com/ I'm thinking of buying one of these website locations.

I just want to know your opinions on what you guys think about these websites. Can they actually generate revenue each month? How much time must be dedicated to the site? Its something I would like to nurture during my spare time.

Website cost 99000 for full ownership.

    Thanks for your time guys.

    Best regards,

    Andy

  2. Thanks for all the advise and sincerity towards my auntie. She has recently thought about selling, and has had a few offers already.

She does not want to benifit from The Spice what so ever. Alot of businesses around chang moi are furniture shops so they do not get effect heavily. I have seen that there is a new food joint that has opened up right next to the spice.

For now though.....my aunts going to keep running the guest house and restaurant. We have gone over to talk to the poeple manging the spice and were suprisingly nice about it. The loud bass wont change, the loud farangs wont change but they have agreed not to park around the guesthouse and the other night I saw the bike guard moving bikes that were parked near the guesthouse.

We will see how it goes..... I told my auntie to start selling durian at the front so that smell can take over the The Spice just like Spicy :)

  3. she runs a restaurant so why don,t she open late and take advantage of spicey.then would she complain

She is not in her twenties or thirties mate. She wakes up early to run the kitchen and tours. She spends the whole day working with her staff.

She lives at Korea house... She needs to sleep to work.

I wouldn't want any drunk douches eating there anyway.

  4. Hey guys, I just came back to Chiang Mai after a few months and stayed at my auntie's guest house on Chang moi road.

She runs and operates Korea House - Guest house and restaurant. Shes been operating for about 10 years.

I came back after months living there to find that the bloody, seedy, and loud Spicey had moved in right next DOOR!

There is loud bass music , People screaming and shouting till about 4-5 AM. She is so streesed as guests are complaining and she is loosing business.

Scooters are also being parked right outside her shop and fights with drunk farangs are not helping.

She is giving out ear plugs to all guest but isn't really helping. I know The Spice are paying extra for extra hours but is there anyway we can file complaint to anyone!?!?

    Thanks Guys...

  5. I know 2 shops with good selections..

one in Chinatown next to the kasikorn Bank on Wichayanon Road towards Thapae Road Very narrow shop with sweat bands outside.

The other one is at the markets opposite CMU on Huay Kaew Road...

  6. Lets be honest......So many of us here living or holidaying would ride there scooters after a shiet face night at the pub, I myself am very guilty of that and luckily only had 3 minor accidents.....I dont only blame Thais but some of us drunkens can cause a real dangerous mess!

How would the parents have felt if there kids were involved in a accident caused purelly from there mistakes?? Would they still consider that Thai roads are dangerous???

  7. Hi All,

Hope everyones enjoying these festive times! Happy 2012 to all,

I would just like to ask where would one go to get some custom prints on T-shirts done.

I'm having a party at my friends bar and want some T-Shirts made with there logo on it.

Has anyone had any experience printing shirts?? know any good shops in BKK??

They will only be about 20-30 units.

    Thanks to all!

    Sawadee bee mai Krubs

  8. Does it really matter if the information is given by a tourist or a resident?

If a member can help or give you info about your topic does it matter that he/she came here in the 70's or that his a sex tourist or a miserable expat??

Geez you lived year for 15 years...what do you want a cookie??? ;)

  9. Is there a CHEAP AUTHENTIC PHO resturant in ThailandÉ Could never find a place! Wanna pay 40bt for a bowl of pho! Had pho in Cambodia for $1 USD. Very authentic. Just cant seem to find a reasonable priced AUTHENTIC tasting Pho in Thailand!

The best I've found was in Laos. Saying that every pho I've had in Thailand (BKK, CMX ) was basically a Kuaytiaw. No where in Thai have I found a nice pho.

I just don't think Thais are into AUTHENTIC viet food.

  10. Why do they make a big deal about adding soda to stews? Coca Cola, Sprite etc add basically 2 things to a meat stew which we might add in our kitchen at home:

    - sodium bicarbonate which softens the meat (useful when you're using cheaper cuts)

    - sugar (or sweetener as is more often the case with these drinks)

Perhaps it's not commonly done in Thailand. In the Philippines, it's virtually a must-do for braised meat dishes.

    Phillipino food = :bah:

    salty and greasy

Sounds perferct with rice, beer and som tum.....

  11. A couple of buidings down on Huay Kaew Road theres a place called Hauy Kaew Place. Cheaper than Residence but not as modern.

Nice clean rooms with Aircon and fridge, T.V optional. Internet was very fast that ran of a cable.

There a nice clean restaurant, laundry facility, and 7-11 downstairs.

I stayed here for 7 months hassle free! alot of students but not noisy...

  12. Besides from that Tamiya shop. I have not found any RC Shops! Tamiya shop couldn't help me with parts.

Since then I have been on numerous missions to Icon, Computer plaza,City and Panthip and have not been able to locate any RC shops.

Would anyone know more information on a RC shop???

Mild7even: Could you provide more details on this place I have tried searching up and down on Charoen Prathet road with no luck :(

    Thanks guys.
