  1. Thanks for the nice words. Just come to see the place and decide by yourself. However this is the best I can offer you. Of course I would tell you that I will keep her at my home and so on, but as doglover I want to be honest with you. I've got a Jack russel, English Staffordshire bull terrier and an American Rednose Pittbull at my home. I think she will not fit in the team at home. But, at the company without any dogs and 10 labourhouses is the best I can offer right now, Include food and vetenarian care as well.

  2. I got this email and requested to sent to all of friends Steve knew. I don't know them all, but there are a lot in here

    for sure.

    Hello all,

I have made a tribute to Steve and posted it on to youtube.

It has his favorite song, another song I thought appropriate and many of his cherished moments.

It is a celebration of his life and I hope you enjoy it.

Please pass this on to anyone who knew Steve.

Although Steve's life was short, he lead a full life, so smile and think fondly of him.

    Sincerely,

    James Wysong

  3. Yes, I know. Skip the regular one's (like Kensington or Build Sabai) Maybe their good, but their expensive as well. You can get the same (or better) result by another. PM me directly and I will tell you the company name and details. I have my own experiance with them and my reasons to skip the others.

  4. My daughter wants a pet and I am wondering if anyone knows where the best pet markets are in Chiang Mai?? I have found one when making a left turn at the traffic lights just before the fork to Wualai Road [ Wualai is the right fork--just before this is a street on the left full of pretty sad looking creatures in tiny cages] I have so far only seen mainly unfortunate dogs--are there other markets with other small animals??

Whilst I don't approve of these markets maybe we can liberate one sad soul.

    Dear haybilly,

If you want a healthy dog or another pet I recommend you to get the info (specially for dogs) at the vetenarian.

I know a good one. PM me directly and I will give you the direct contact details. Mostly the dogs on markets and

streets are crosses in the same family. Like mother and son or niece and uncle and so on.

    Good luck

  5. The best thing you can do for this matter is go to the police station. They will make a report and also visit him.

Forget the court of law, specially when your 'farang' The will say, you shouldn't be there. Bad luck and so on.

That will be more money as well.

    Wish you good luck

  6. That is shocking news. RIP to the poor woman

    Stereotypical for the breed.

I feel sorry for the situation. RIP.

I also feel sorry for the persons who will say that it is stereotypical for the breed. We don't read about the

conditions the dogs were hold or what so ever. Sure it can be killing machines, that's a part of the breed. Compare it that you give a 9mm automatic to a 9 year old. It's also how the people care there dogs.

  7. Here is the first of some stories.

The man on the pictures was a security guard at the small village in the back. (the village what used to be a cemetary)

At the other picture you can see the gate that weights more than 250 kilo's.

The man reported that the gate was broken already 2 months. The management didn't take care at all.

In the night time I received a call from this man. He was under the gate. The gate fell down on him. The head

of the security was just only facing him without doing anything. He said "I have no car to bring him to the hospital"

His pick up was parked at the tarng dong office group (what is for sale right now). So, I brought him to the hospital

    and the final result was

+ broken hip on 3 places

+ broken leg on 2 places

+ broken jeaw on 1 place

    + inside bleedings

Imagine this 60 year old man.

I told the story to the management and they didn't do anything. They offered his family 2000 thb.

his normal salary was 4500 for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We asked the management about his bills for the hospital. They just don't care. They gave him 2000 thb already.

They also didn't pay any social security or insurance for him. So, he was left on himself.

We paid his bills and we still supporting his family 4500thb a month. This was the only income for this family.

The man was never sick, always on time for almost 2 years there.

If you understand my point now, and you also feel sorry for this I can give you his number so he can confirm this

story and feel free to give him some money as well. He is really a good guy.

Do I need to tell more? If you want I can.

It is a nice thing you have done helping this old guy, there is no safety net in Thailand. Many of these lovely older folk are the Thais the tourist brochures promote about but few tourists get to see any more. Many wealthy Thais treat the serf class as animals, you will see many of them at PAD rallys yearning for the full return of the feudal system so they can get the homage they think they deserve.

Continue your stories and lets see what else there is. Somehow I suspect that you have seen what are really common occurrences here and haven't realized how prevalent it is.

I will continue with this topic. I only want to write what's not based on rumours.

The most thing that pissed me of is that they pretend to be international and some of the 'kids' has studied

abroad and running the managment now. They are a company and they also need to pay for social security and

insurance for their employees. Even the employees right now are deducted from their salaries. Also another manager

left the 'group' . He was earning about 20.000 thb a month. They offer him 4500thb right now. Even the staff they have right now have to wait for their payment about 2 months. Just visit the office (not the one is for sale right now)

the new office is in the old 2-sit building. You will see they also have a certificate of appriciation from the American Consul. I think the American Counsul didn't know that. They try to get the people in with sweet sugar water, when they get, they will piss them over with acid. Right now they only have a debt with one bank over 200 million thb.

Sure, they getting hungry and a bit depressed.

Having read this post and the replies I could not believe the content as there really did'nt seem to be any, but on reflection I knew there had to be a punch line hence no reply from me, a case of wait and see, eventually we do see what the man means, really the confusion was/is down to his english but he certainly has a good heart and has the utmost respect from me.

Thanks for the respect. Yes, my English is not that good as I'm not from England or America. I just did the spell check on your post. Here it goes: did'nt should be didn't --- see, eventually should have a space between collum --- and english should be written with a capital E --- English.

What does matters? How it's written down or what you can understand. It's a topic about Kad Farang not about teaching or learning English.

  8. Just past by today and they removed the sign of the opening on Februari (2009).

Right now they put an a4 paper at the front window that they will be opening on

8 of March. They also put a phone number for any requested information or bookings :o

  10. Rumor has it, that they are going for a high end customer. Seems to be the wrong location for this type of restaurant. I did pass by there today and they were moving boxes into the place so something is happening. My budget doesn't allow me to go to higher end places no matter where they are so unless they have a early bird special I wont be visiting Rosewood anytime soon anyway.

You speak right. They are going for a high price (I will not say a high end customer) The high end customer will

have dinner for this price at a nice location in the city. I've heard that the prices will be arround 1500thb for 2 persons

include some drinks. But, we might be suprised again and again with the management of this all ..... at least the studied abroad (I wonder what) and they always be very high on themselves.

The better they should do is open the old Country Place again (opposite) and have a beer garden with 3 brands of beer and some easy dishes. That might be a better idea.

  11. Hi Foxyhooper,

I also noticed that. The Japanese never showed up, either does Dukes. Right now is another try of Rosewood.

I also have been seeing many signs on that place. I know that Dukes did some marketing research and didn't open.

Than I know that one of the management try to open the place, but we will see. You can read more of this management in another 'Chiang Mai' topic about Kad Farang.

We will see and be amazed if it will open and for how long...

  12. Thanks for the positive replies.I understand that I opened the topic to soon without any information.

Also, I understand the people who thought it was neccesary to post in CAPS or making a decission on my

topic or person. Wheter they are quiet right now.

There are more stories to come. But, a discussion or opinions on a topic is always welcome.

    Thanks,

I'll keep on posting, don't worry.

i'm afraid i'm a bit let down by the big shocking story of corruption at hang dong... this is nothing out of the ordinary. their are far more atrocious things going on on a daily basis than an injured worker that can't get compensation.

    So, tell me your story...

  14. We have enough evidence, even the docters reports and all the X-rays. At least he's doing better right now.

Try to imagine that even his wife didn't has enough money to visit him in the hospital by a red bus.

As I said in my previous post. I only want to inform people. It don't have to be in the big news. At least not for

me. If you or any body else, feels like it has to be on the big boards, go ahead. I'll be on the supportings site.

There will be more news to come. Just give me a time. The truth should be based on evidence and results.

If you willing to know. Just wait untill I have the info. If you don't. Just let me know in a polite way. Be patience with the comments.
