  1. Hi HeyBuzz,

Thanks for your business, we have seen your transaction in our system. Once we received your cleared funds in our ANZ Bank account, we will pay your beneficiary in Thailand immediately with the current market rate at that time.

I've asked my support staff to contact you via email so we can watch out for your AUD transfer.

Also for what it is worth you will find plenty of compliments and complaints on our facebook page about our service

    CEO BahtSmart,

    Hi HeyBuzz

All done. Your beneficiaries account in Thailand has been credited just now. I think that was about 4 or 5 hours to complete the transfer. (the transfer from your Aussie bank to our account at ANZ took almost 4 of those hours..) Also we were lucky that our Thai bank is the same as your beneficiaries Thai Bank, so it was a lot quicker than sending to another Thai bank for us.

If you need anymore information please don't hesitate to contact me or the bahtsmart team at [email protected]

    Cheers

  2. Why not extend to the U.K. too?

there's already a new cheap UK one called transferwise

    Hi Jaggg88

I am a great admirer of transferwise and what they have done.

Watch this space in 2015, as UK and Europe are on our roadmap. Our licence application is underway in the UK, but we have been advised it is a 6 month process minimum.

We would hope the offer the same no fee and charge and great rate product from UK to Thailand that we offer our Aussie customers.

    Regards

  3. Hi All

Can anyone recommend a house structural engineer? Our warranty on our house from the developer is nearing the end and I want to have an expert review the structure, wiring, plumbing and also possible pest problems for any defects or potential future problems and get them documented for the developer to fix. I've tried through some family contacts in Chiang Mai but can find any engineer who wants to do it. Cheers

  4. I'm trying to get cable tv at the moment in Mae Jo, Chiang Mai. Truevision do offer both cable and satellite connection in chiang mai, but as we found out this morning when the technician came to home, to get the cable connected you need to be within 100m of a truevision hub. On google maps at the true shop yesterday the distance looked ok, but in reality we are over a 100m, so it looks like either satellite or internet for me.(or wait to install a new hub ) ...

  5. Does anyone have any experience of unicity in thailand? A good friend has become involved and it looks like the typical pyramid scam.. money upfront to buy some dubious health products, try and network to family and friends first and then when that runs out and you can't build your network.. you have wasted a whole lot of money with nothing to show for it...I read only 3% of those that get involved in the network make money . The owners/originators look like the only ones making the money in Thailand..

Any advice to extract my friend or make them see it for what it really is?

    Only serious replies pls....

  6. Hi ... almost lost the plot this morning taking my son to school from Mae Jo direction.. Took 40 mins to get through theroad works at Noum Joum intersection.. usually takes 3 mins if you miss the lights.... Its being going for a month now.. and there was nothing wrong with the road in the first place... Does any one know how much longer we are going to be inflicted with these unnecessary road works??? Seemed like someone at the Highways dep't had some budget left over and needed to spend it on a useless project... Hope it doesn't turn into another chiang dao bypass mess... Cheers... ..

  7. Hi

I do the Singapore to CNX flight via swampy quite often on Thai. You need to clear immigration at swampy (there are big signs directing you to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Hat yai, etc.. transfer in swampy)... don't go through normal immigration processing for those going to BangKok directly . if your flying thai all the way through you can check your bags all the way through and collect them at CNX... They will give you a special yellow sticker at immigration at swampy that will direct you to international baggage claim at CNX where you will clear customs..

  8. Hi

Need some help pls. I am relocating to Thailand and am shipping my musical fidelity hifi equipment ( 6 years old A3.2CD, pre and power amp), wharfedale speakers, Marantz amplifier and Rel sub woofer. I am concerned about power supply differences between uk and thailand and what if anything I need to do to protect the hifi from power fluctuations and different power voltages, etc...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also does anybody know a good hifi shop in Chiang Mai who could help me reinstall all the biwire and biamping cables, etc...

    Cheers

  9. I did the Singapore -Chinag mai - Singapore trip a year ago and planning to go in June again this year. Its about 2,700kms depending how many side trips you take. It took me two days to get up to CNX, then took a very relaxing 16 days back. The 2 days - we left singapore friday afternoon at 2pm to beat KL traffic and then at Sadao border at 11pm (not doing 80-100kms though). Make sure you take a copy of your car registration document for the border crossing. You can get the thai 3rd party insurance at a booth just past the border crossing. Then the next 4-5 hours to chumphon. If you dont want to go that far try hat yai and the novotel hotel. They have mutiple room apartments good for a family. Next day left at 11am and then in chiang mai at midnight. Gave bangkok a miss but took the ring road around the city and then straight up highway 1 to cnx.

Then quite a few days in CNX and back to singapore via Nan, sukothai, bangkok, chumphon, krabi and hat Yai and then back to singapore. Great trip with the family can do everything in your time and see what you want to see. a few tips:

    - get comprehensive insurance for the car in singapore. Use to be able to get it from AIG now chartis.

    - get the car serviced before you go and check out how to service car in thailand. i.e names and munbers of the car dealers in thailand for your car type.

    - get international travel insurance.

    - check your travel isnurance wll cover you.

    - take lots of money for petrol.

    - get a gps if you aren't sure of the way. can be tricky ina nd around bangkok and KL.

    Enjoy the trip.....
