I ride a sidecar (Ural) and consider it safer than a two-wheeler. However, they do need getting used to as they are larger and heavy.
Hanno, Where is your Ural? I have been trying to figure out how to bring a CJ 750 into Thailand.
Thank you

Mikethevigoman and/or Jaidee, could you explain to me what is involved with registering and obtaining a green book on a bike that has been disassembled into parts and legally shipped into the country. Thailand has one exception that a citizen (which I am) returning to Thailand from abroad may import one cargo container without paying taxes and duties on it. If I could disassemble the Harley and ship the bike in a cargo container, with documentation that the parts were lawfully imported, could I obtain the green book? Thanks.
submaniac,
How did your repatriation go? My wife and I are very possibly moving to Thailand this year. She is thai citizen, but I am not. We have been living overseas for the past three years, and are very interested in understanding the rules associated with her repatriation. She has a CJ 750 motorcycle that she would like to bring with her but I am seriously concerned about the costs of importing a large motporcycle.
Any comments from any one?
Thank you
Where Is The Best Tailor Or Suit Shop In Bkk?
in Bangkok
Posted
I tried Raja's a few years ago, for just some shirts and pants. I am pretty tall (195CM) and buying off the rack shirts and pants even in the states is rather time consuming. I also was not looking for the cheapest they had on offer. Long story short, none of the shirts would button on the collar (I doubt I put on that much weight in a weeks time), and one pair of pants was two inches shorter than the other three pair.
I did not have a suit made but from what I recieved for shirts and pants I would not recomend him. I will say that I came back to Thailand a month later with my reciept and showed him the pants that were two inches short and he made me a new pair. Still the quality was not very good.
I am relocating to BKK soon and I will probabally try another tailor but not Raja's.
