Having gone to go through the Visa process based on marriage for the last 19 years, each year they are always looks the smallest of errors. This year, they warned me that next year I must wear long trousers (no shorts) in the photo outside the house which has never been required before.

In April Immigration updates, I notice they now require GPS coordinates for house address / location when applying for Non-O visa (based on marriage) which previously was not acceptable.

DrJack54 I was not told to report back in one month, but I was told to check online to see if my "visa" has been approved by using the number stamped on my "under consideration" stamp.

Hey presto.....just checked online to see "Approved" taking just one month while usually taking much longer. Going to immigration this PM to have stamp in PP,

They have always insisted the details from the bank be dated the day I apply for the visa. Next year I'll be sure to take the photos required in the bedroom etc. As a matter of interest, how long does it take for your visa to be approved?

I'm currently waiting for "approval" for my non-O visa for the 18th time based on married to a Thai and have never had a home visit from immigration. I always apply at least one month before my visa expires and it generally takes at least six weeks to for my visa to be approved. This year we were asked for more photos of us together in our house including photos of us together in the bedroom and kitchen. Previously several photos of us together inside and outside the house were acceptable and have never been asked for photos of us together in the bedroom before. I guess it always depends on the officer but each year it seems to be a learning curve.
