Couldn't agree more with hullmonkee's post. I've not looked at this thread for a while, because of the nasty, malicious and prejudiced views in previous posts.

There are reasons this (Samui, K.P. K.T) forum is so quiet, with so few diverse opinions.

It's become a typical, Old boy's club.

Any way, you can leave me out, along with a good number of other people, it seems.

Why the hostile reactions, I have used Relax Resort and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. If they thought he was in difficulty I'm sure they would have helped.

Needless comments, such as "they won't lose sleep "

I'm sure no one was expecting somebody to drown in such shallow water.

Did the same trip myself in April. No problem at all. Plenty of time to spare, someone greeting people with connecting flights. And directing you to your check in. Relax and enjoy your trip.

I've flown this route and then onwards to Samui, many times, with a lot of carriers.

The best was Malaysia Airlines, then Thai and EVA, I found Jet Air and Etihad were on a par, Even Air India were decent.

So if they fall in between those, I'll be happy.

Hi, can anyone, pass on any experiences, of Vietnam Airlines.

I recently booked flights with Vietnam Airlines, LGW/BKK via Vietnam. 21st Dec, Return 13th Jan, £540- Great price, for those dates, good layovers, 1hr 50 and 3hr 30.

I've noticed since I booked Two weeks ago, the price has doubled, and today is back at £550- If anyone is interested.

Hi, I've seen somebody leave a link for, Lloyd Inn, Which is 5/10 minute walk from Orchard Road. Ive stayed There, and would recommend it. Convenient, Clean and tidy and very good friendly staff. It didn't have a downside for me. All the best, Keagan.

Just a few personal observations, I've flown several times with Jet Airways. Also Once with Air India, The Air India journey was an unpleasent experience. The Second leg of the journey from Mumbai to BKK, Was delayed by Three hours, no explanation given. People still boarding the plane until just before takeoff, It seemed the flight was waiting for late passengers. Resulting in Me missing my flight from BKK to Samui, costing 4000 bht, despite allowing a Three hour layover. So bad, Dial A Flight wont deal with them.

The several times Ive used Jet Airways theyve been excellent, especially considering the cost. Always on time,within reason. Good helpfull staff,at the airport and inflight. A decent meal(s) and good choice of inflight movies, TV shows. How anyone can compare Jet to Easyjet is beyond me.

I am travelling with Jet to BKK again next week, So no doubt now, I will have a terrible flight with them, after speaking highly of them.

I have just spoken to Julie. I am entirely happy with her explanation of events and am also aware of how desperately upset she is about injuries to people. I am sure everyone understands how lethal these roads are at any time of the day and would strongly advise anyone to call Julie to listen to the explanation i have been given. She is happy to show anyone the photos and insurance documents and i feel since she is open to speaking it would be far better to speak to her than continue posting on here,

my friend and i, were in sweeney todds this week, and i had a chicken burger & chips,and my friend had a cheese,beef burger, and we both thought they were the best tasting burgers weve had in koh samui. and they only cost 180baht, well worth having,. It was late afternoon when we got there,and we thought it was too late for breakfast, but will try it next time

Hi, would appreciate any information, on how long it might take me to travel between Suvarnabhumi to Don Muang airports.

I'm due to arrive at Suvarnabhumi 7 am, and I'm looking at getting the 11.40 Nok Air Flight,Coach and Hi Speed Catamaran combination to Samui.

Any tips, ie, how much a taxi costs and how long it would take, Or is there BST line between the Two Airports. Or any other views or experiences of this trip.

would appreciate anyone's experiences of airasia's 15.40 flight from surat to bkk.

i.e.is it generally on time,what time could you expect to get to swampy,from don muaeng?(need to catch return flight to uk at 20.55,is that unreasonable)

the reason i'm asking is the fare,including taxes is 699 bht +ferry and taxis,will still be better than half of bkk airways.

any thoughts will be welcome.

or should i just bite the bullet and book bkk air?
