For anyone wondering about XBOX LIVE and playing Modern Warfare 2.

- Create a new account under a new email address from Hong Kong or Singapore.

In Modern Warfare 2, the lag is much better compared to previous games in the franchise. However, you will feel delay in bullets sometimes but it is much improved. In MW2 there are 4 bars, (1 bar being the worst which means if you shoot there will be a delay, 2 bars is the same but more reasonable, 3 bars is great and full is obviously the best). If you play with Singapore you will get either 3 bars or sometimes 4 bars for sure. With some parts of Japan and Korea you will be able to get 3 bars. With California you can get maximum 2 bars from experience, and other cities on the west coast.

For getting addons for MODERN WARFARE 2 you can still get them if you are under a UK/US/Hong Kong gamertag. However, last year there were issues with WORLD AT WAR because they banned it in our region, therefore there's nothing we can do. But for mW2 you're safe.

Does anyone know the situation with international schools? I go to a international school along rama 9 which is near ESPLANAD and there have been reports that it will be open as normal tomorrow.

I read that ALL schools in Bangkok will be closed (private/non-private) so I'm very confused with the situation. If anyone knows anything it'd be great help.

All you drama queens go back and read the original post. It doesn't say that they're going to play Songkran with blood. They're pouring the blood at the gates to government house and at Abhisit's house which is in Sukhumvit Soi 31. They're not throwing it at expats and tourists along Sukhumvit street. So basically, if you don't want to get infected with HIV, don't stand at the gate of government house or Abhisit's house ..and also start using rubbers during intercourse with street hookers, which is the more likely place you're going to catch HIV than from the red shirt protesters.

Agreed, I still find this quite distasteful though. I cannot imagine who will clean up that blood.

And instead of donating blood for other people, they are donating it like rain water! this is fantastic, I can't imagine how the rest of the world will take this. "Over 1 Million CC of blood poured around a building".

Near the Indian Temple in Silom, this place is fantastic, owner is Italian and I go there regularly and chat to him.

I liked it with pork but very spicy! I also prefer it when it's more wet and I like a nice KAI JIEW ontop (which is basically a fried scrambled egg).

I'm Italian and I've lived in North America, Europe and Asia now so without coming across as a bragger, I do have a good experience with tasting pizza and so forth. But there is a enormous difference between the pizza served in Italy (Which is baked in the fire), and the pizza served in places like Dominos, Pizza Company and Pizza Hut. Firstly, the original pizza should be thin and you should be able to taste the tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Pizza originally is meant to be a rather healthy choice, however, many major companies such as Pizza Hut/Company have decided to serve oily and unhealthy choices such as "EXTREME PIZZA" which has a crust filled with sausages and crappy cheese! Now that's not pizza, and I know it's delicious and you're free to decide what you want but that is not a original pizza. The pizza served in the US is certainly different, and I'm not going to deny that it is rather tasty! But personally I think some people need to try the original Italian pizza first, before calling it "a cracker with ketchup on top".

This quote is ridiculous, in Italy i guarantee you will find a PIZZERIA everywhere and people adore it! It is just as fundamental as our Pasta, Risotto (and probably not polenta).

Moreover, for the ones who live in BANGKOK who would like to taste pizza MOST similar to the ones served in Italy, then you should try the following: ( Scoozi, Pizza Patio, Bella Napoli- sukhumvit soi 35 I think) These few do a decent job, I'm sure there are more but I stick with the above.

I've been using TRUE for over 2 years, and I play XBOX LIVE all the time! I have found many in the ASIA region in which most of time I enjoy great connection, however, untill recently my connection has just been abysmal. I'm on a 5Mbps connection using a ethernet cable connecting to my PC. Yet going even on GMAIL is very slow.

But take note these issues did not occur previously, it has only been these last few weeks.

What wrong with TRUE phone provider?

The internet these days are HORRIBLE, since the last 3 weeks its been so slow! I'm with TRUE and going on sites like facebook and etc take ages, also playing online is very laggy. It seems my connection is jumping up and down. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hello all, I'm planning to go to Koh Samui next week with the family to relax on the beach. However, I've heard that the weather has been pretty poor for visiting the beach and this is preventing me from going to Koh Samui. But all the weather information I got was via online, so can anyone who is currently there let me know how the weather is? I'm looking for some sun so I can get a nice tan and relax on the beach.

These guys in South Africa reckon they can can get around this new problem of region lock on DLC from XBL. As some one explained before XBL checks for your registered account locale and your actual IP address for some DLC such as the new WAW maps. Think its due to laws affecting game ratings and caused a problem recently in Germany.

Anyway these guys on the www.xbox-360.co.za forum made a list of instruction for setting up VPN connection via your PC see PDF Link basically have to use your PC

Also anopther option (could be <deleted> though) that if you have a reliable contact in the country you first registered your XBL account with in your case the UK. Give them your XBL account access details and they can log into your account via the xboxlive.com website (not actual xbox console) and download the content from there, the content will go into a Auto download que. Once you turn on your actual Xbox and log in regardless of local it will be in your pending list and then start download (could be nonsense ) but kind of makes sense.

Your last point, I tried that with my friend in Hong Kong, he started the download via xbox.com. The download begins to work, but it then stops at 98% and says "You cannot download this content". I finally got the map packs, I had my friend from Beijing send me his other HD so that I could play.

I'm currently living in Bangkok, and I play Call of Duty : WaW on a daily basis. If I play with the servers in Hong Kong / Japan / Korea I can get 2 bars and 3 bars if I'm lucky. With Singapore I can get a 3 bar or a full bar connection. However, when those people are not online I search for people outside of Asia and I get people from Australia, New Zealend, America, Britain and I see my friends (1or2) who have at least 2 bar with them!

Now I'm on a 6mb Bandwidth plan with TRUE, and I cannot get a better connection because I live in village and the cable through the village is to small to support higher bandwidth.

So what do you suggest I do? I really want to play the game with my mates around the world and the 1 bar is really irritating.

Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

Or you can go to nadzproject.com and go to their shop and purchase games for around 1,550 baht. All official games, and for Asia CONSOLE. however, I find they get their games sold out easily, so it's a good idea to call them first.

I'm picking mine up this Friday from a shop (original), so far I've heard only great things about it.

Hey Steve, you can purchase 3 month membership cards from nadzproject.com, under the xbox 360 section. They have a shop located in Silom (ITF TOWER F.14) and they sell all types of things for the Xbox. If you purchase it online, it would probably cost more (that is if you are talking about places such as play-asia). However, if you purchase through the Xbox it will be alright.
