My wife has just put in her application form for settlement in the UK . She took an English test last week which she has been told she failed .From what she explained to me
it seems this test was not just a Speaking and listening test , it covered many different subjects about England and cost about Thb 8000.
My questions are .
Does she need to pass this test before she gets her visa or can it be done in England?
Is this the correct test?
She has had a settlement visa 5 years ago and we lived in England for nearly 2 years and our son was born in England.
Maybe this is a simple question but ive searched the web and find different tests and levels being done for different reasons.
your help is much appreciated.

Hi guys , Ill tell you about my situation first so you understand what im after and why im moving back to the UK.
I've been married for 6 years to my Thai wife and we have a 4half year old boy together who was born in England .
Now , my wife has a daughter as well from a previous relationship . Her father is Swiss and she is 11 years old.
Her father does'nt have much to do with her , seeing her maybe once a year for about 1 or 2 days and thats it ,no phone calls or anything.
Now ,as my son is at the age where he can start school in England i have decided to pack up and move back to UK pemanantly for the sake of his Education etc.
As my son was born in England and holds a UK passport , he has no problems and as my wife has been to the UK before on a 2 year visa i figured that shouldnt be a problem.
(obviously have to reapply for her)
What are the chances of her daughter being successfull when applying for her visa ?
What type of visa does she require?( a bit confused when looking at different visa types)
Any help on this would be much appreciated as this is a long term plan and we would like to stay together as a family.
Thanks

Ok , add up the total cost of the trip ie flight ,spending money and anything else related to it and
put that same figure down for all three 5.15 , 5.18,and 5.19.
These costs are only her costs ,so don't add your costs onto it.
Finally the best bit of advice i can give is to be truthful and you should'nt have any problems.
Good luck.

Just had my wall finished , its not quite a rai but cost 180,000 .
Thats 2 meters high and footings of 80cm.Includes 1 large gate and a small gate(painted iron).
Its the steel rods in the footings and the pillars that cost alot.
120,000 for materials and 60.000 labour.

Yeah same thing happened to me a month ago.It took 1 hour 45 to get through .I was the last person to get on the flight .
I think it was down to the time . Meaning 12 Oclock when all Thais have dinner .
After 1ish the Q did move a lot quicker .I will deffinately be getting there a good 3 to 4 hours before my flight next time!

I do hope this is true. I am well aware that alot of other currunies have dropped creating alot of the expats problems financialy including myself.
But the Baht artificialy staying high is a joke and just rubbing our noses in it.

I was thinking over 3 days and it is a 110. Im not worried about the comfort thing . Would a wave 110 hold up , i dont want to destroy it.

Do you think it is possible to drive from Phuket To Buriram on a Honda wave. Im not after other suggestions of how to get there as ive done it by train , plane, bus and driven myself in a car. Im just wondering if the bike would hold up , its nearly new.
I just thought it would be something different to do. I know most people will say i need a bigger bike for comfort and that but do you think it is possible on my Wave?

Im just after any ideas what i could do with 2half rai of land. What would be the most proffitable thing to do on it. I do not have to much money to invest but im sure there is something.
Here's the catch, must be something that the locals can not help themselves to everyday as i live in Phuket. My wifes son and father live at the front of the land so they would be able to help with the daily needs of any such idea.
Thanks for any replies
