it could be "technical" problem from telco (AIS,Dtac,Truemove). i do have experience with that, mean people try to call me (my phone was on and never ring), but they cant get it, only few hours later, my phone receive a "miss call" alerts. some other case is my phone will lose signal even at town.

my business is something SMS markerting, which customer can send SMS promotion to their customer. my business only target in thialand. most of my customer is pub, disco,bar,etc. i'm supprise most of my customer is westen people.. therefore i will like to said my customer include both thai and westen people who working in thailand..

Hi Rockystdt, if you can find job in thailand, according the thailand law, farang salary must start with 45,000B, if any company willing to hire you, that mean you salary will start with min 45,000B. i do have many friend with the same case like you, what they doing before was keep looking for the job from website, and now they all get working permit and working here. no problem with teaching english with totally do not understand thai, but if you can speak a simple thai, that will much more easy for you looking to be english tutor in private language school here. that is some agent company helping farang get job in thailand(most is teaching), but i have no idea how does it work, but the best way is looking for youself. anyway, i think starting with recuirement webiste like jobdb will be a good start.. hope you get good news soon..cheers..

i been asking my thai girlfriend and thai friends what is "Farang" mean when i 1st attempt in thailand, they told me "Farang"="Foreigner". because thai people always pronounce "Foreiger" in "Farang", after for long time, people will use to it and call "farang"="foreigner". therefore when they call you "farang", that is not mean any rude, bad or impolite to call you. if you dun mind people call you "foreigner" , and do you mind people call you "farang" ?

if you come to thailand with only one reason "love", then i will like to suggest better think more reason why you want to stay in thailand, if you cant have a very good reason now beside "love", then better wait until you get retirement.

even you speck fluent in thai, the problem will still happen the same, if they all can speak in english, and dun want chat with you, the only reason is, you are not their gang. i think everybody do have this experience, some people when you 1st meet, you will have many topic can talk, but some people you just not really want to chat with him and select keep quite . as for me, i facing the same problem with you, but honestly, i also felt uncomfortable when i having lunch with them, so after a few lunch time, i decide i better take my lunch alone, that make me felt more confortable and relax on my lunch time..but that doent mean i make a bad relationship with them..
