Someone did when the plane landed just before the police got on.

Just been on the phone to Emirates airline and all flights to Bangkok are cancelled till 2nd of December.

Full refund offered on all these flights.

I was supposed to fly on the 7th but lady on the phone said call back on the 3rd of December for your refund.

Looks like the visa in my passport wont get used this year.

the 511 big AC bus goes to several stations ... but the best way really is the water taxi

another option might be a taxi to Hua Lomphong train station and the MRT

The 511 is useful for several reasons

it crosses the river

it passes Pantip and Central world

it does to the Suk BTS line etc

The bendy white and green 511 follows this route but some of the orange 511,s are express versions and take the motorway.

There is a sign in the window in thai indicating express or non express. You don't want this one if you are going to Central world as you will end up at the Eastern Bus Terminal .

The conductor has had to chuck me off a few times because of this.

Water taxi is great but you sometimes get splashed with klong water even with the side curtains up.

I think this is the non express one but Iam not sure.

I do all the time.

I get the number 2 from Nana at 2am to Khao San. The little green bus is great fun.

I also use the river boat all the time.

I dont like taxis as they are boring.

I also like walking as you see far more of life than sat in the back of a taxi.

I bought a pair off Converse from Tokyu departmant store in MBK. I am allways size 11 UK but the ones labed size 10 fitted me.

The assistant said they where made in Thailand and so did the label on the tongue.

I remember seeing them at Chatuchak about a week later for about 300 baht more.

Well before we were on the express way, the driver explained that the Rama 9 access to the airport was blocked as a trailer truck had gone over the rail. What he wanted to do was to take the long way around through Bang Na. I asked how he know this and he said that it was on the news. I agreed and said that it was up to him.

May I suggest that you not get taken in like I was. The best thing to do is to have the driver pull over and get out and get another taxi that doesn't pull that bs. This is sometimes inconvenient so (in this case) you must insist on the shortest route which is essentially via the Rama 9 expressway.

If you are not sure of how to explain this in Thai, have a friend explain it to you and then write it out phonetically. It is not very difficult.

If you can understand the driver explain the details of a traffic accident then Iam sure you will know how to say "Rama 9 expressway"

If you had got stuck in traffic you might of missed your flight so I hope you gave him a good tip on top of the fair.
