The title says all really, I usually send my passport to hull consulate of Thailand then get it back in a week. But now it looks like I have to go South Kensington on one day and come back next day to collect my passport. Anybody know if this is correct or am I misreading what I am seeing on the internet and I can still just send to hull?
thanks if anybody can help or point me in right direction

Hello,
Anybody from around these areas, know a good school for a 7 year old. We live near Suan phung so west Ratchaburi. I have tried looking on internet but cant read thai and does not look like anything out this way!. Ratchaburi town/city area would be ok just need links to websites in English if anybody has any. I have looked at Ban Pong area already and the schools websites all in thai. Any help would be gratefully collected.
Forgot to say, it needs to be a private school.

In the Uk it has just got on the news and saying it happened due to two local thai gangs fighting and shooting at each other and this poor person RIP was in the way.

Basil B only just got home from 12 hour shift being a paramedic in the uk enough said okThank you Smokie.
I would like to know where Bankha got his information from, there is no legislation on the application of CPR in the UK, but different organizations may have deferent recommendations that may often change, having for over 40 years done many first aid courses with a number of different organizations and every time it always seems to change 5:1, 10:2, 15:2, and I actually hav successfully revived someone many years ago so when I first heard of the compression only technique it certainly makes a lot of senses to me if you have no assistance.
I doubt anywhere in the world you would every be in trouble for appling CPR what everway you do it as long as you do not prevent anyone who is more quaified taking charge, if a person has stopped breathing and the heart has stopped or gone into fibberlation then anything is better than nothing.
This video show just how easy it is http://www.redcross....d-not-breathing
But in Thailand it is pointless dailling 999, always get assistance first, and if posible ensure they call the emergencey services first and not their freinds (or Pattaya One) to come and gawp.
On appliying CPR after first checking again for breathing I would give 2 quick and firm compresions to start with and again check for breathing and pulse before comencing continuse compresions.
Also in doing CPR it is possible to fracture the sternum, but it it is better the casualty is alive with a fractured sternum than dead with an un-fractured sternum.

It is such a pity that so few people know the basics of CPR, yes she was correct to get help, but then if CPR was started with a short time he may have been saved.
I am very much a believer in "Compression Only CPR" when their is only one person attempting resuscitation and would hope that within a few minute help would arrive, or at least another person with knowledge enough to assist.
I hope one day first aid and CPR are mandatory teaching in all schools.
You are indeed correct. Current UK Resuscitation guidelines are that you should not bother with breathing but concentrate on chest compressions.
Obviously she did the most important thing, which is to call for help.
Sorry to say you are incorrect you need to do 2 breaths to every 30 chest comps what is stated at this time in uk law. The no breath law was a year ago now changed back. RIP

Hello,
You sure its 800sqm thats a bloody big pond. You would need a lot of UV lights to get rid of that green water and a lot of pumps and filters. With the fish in there already get a local to come round with there nets they will empty it of fish for you.
My pond is about 20 m by 5m and 3m deep and i have got 4 pumps and filters on it. Pumping about 35,000 litres per hour on a round bases.

If in wrong forum could mods move please.
Hello,
Just alot of questions and advice needed,
Short background
I spend half year in Thailand and half in Uk. Got a house out in Ratchaburi, been married 6 years and got a daughter of 5 years old. House and land in my daughters name so no problem there. Just found out my wife smokes drugs.
Ok questions i need answering,
1. Can i take my daughter out of the country, she has British passport with just me?
2. Can my soon to be x wife make my life hell at imm at airport if i try to take my daughter out of Thailand?
3. Do i need her consent to take my daughter out of the country?
4.If my wife is in a rehab place for drugs does anybody know if i could get full custody of my daughter?
5. Could my wife dad sign over full custody of my daughter to me ? (as he wants to do that) he also has had enough of his daughter.
6. Lastly anybody know of a decent family lawyer ? as if need be this will be my only route but i dont want to do that as will hurt my daughter.
Cheers,
Paul

Hello all,
My parents are looking for a taxi company or similar in Phuket they are in the 60s and enjoy gold. They would like a taxi shall we say at there beck and call for 10 days. It needs to be same driver all the time.
They had bad experience last time there with taxis.
Advice time.
Is there such companies in Phuket what do this ?
Are they safe and Reputable?
Any idea on prices?
And if anybody know of such company let us know please.
Cheers for info if any

Thailand ... Hub of Farang Reincarnation !
Or rather, a lime pit for the living dead.
I have often wondered about the other two farang living, or should I say lurking in my village. I once got close enough to say hello to one of them, but he waved me off, feining some sort of mute- noncomprehendo hand gestures and high tailed it in the opposite direction. Kind of crossed my mind that .... all sorts of things.
Technikall,
maybe they dont want to speak to you like i dont with the other 2 farang living in my village or shall i say lurking. MAYBE ITS YOU.
I when at home what a peacefull time,
