  1. Thanks for posting.

I have to agree with some others though that somethings seem a bit odd with the description of what happened.

The Dynasty (and Grande) normally have a fairly strict application of:

    - ID Cards retained for visitors

    - Extra guests being charged for entry

    - Hotel staff phoning your room when your guest leaves

That they would let 4 people in, including Thai males, seem extremely unusual.

Anyway, good luck in finding them.

  2. This post made me laugh - Reuters, one of the leading news sources on the Planet. Used by financial institutions and news media globally as an up-to-date unbiased news source....and Ding from ThaiVisa claims it be "garbage".

:) Yeah, thats right, stick your head in the sand and continue to read The Nation and BangkokPost and ThaiVisa.

  3. Hope it doesn't end up in a similar position as has been taking place in Philippines...

A Cry for HELP from BORACAY ISLAND resort owners to ALL MANILA INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISTS HELP!

Since May 2001 on Boracay Island, the newly elected Mayor Cawaling and Attorney Calizo have joined forces by forming the new Adelvin Security Agency. Once an agency is established anybody (WITHOUT PROOF of LAND OWNERSHIP like an Absolute Deed of Sale and Tax Declaration ) can file a P500 court claim against a land owner and hire large groups of armed security guards to take possession of any valuable Boracay land or beach resort. Since technically, it's involved in a civil court case this agency can claim they were hired by the fictitious "owner", thereby ignoring due process of law, claiming to represent one or more opposing persons, succeeding on threatening and intimidating the LEGAL LAND OWNER'S manager or caretaker. We have all of the proof of ownership, the Absolute Deed of Sale, the past 10 years of taxes paid, the Tax Declaration with Sketch plan surveyed by Geodetic Engineer Escabarte and the oppostion has nothing.

i for one would feel at more threat in glasgow than in thailand saying that anybody thinking about australia that might be stupid enough watch border security

Glasgow might be tough, but I think I'd feel more threatened in any Asia country where its more of a zero tolerance policy - ie. get caught and you are toast

I'm not gonna judge the guy, but he must know that if you try to do something like that and fail, then you pay the price...i guess its best left to the organised government smugglers of Burma, etc..

  5. My comment was not meant to upset anyone with personal experiences, for that I apologise.

There are millions of foreigners visit Thailand each year and have encounters with local working girls, there is a probability that a number of them do so without protection either by choice or by accident, yet the cases of contraction are spreading to other nations is extremely low. There are other nations, such as philipines, that have much worse safe sex practice than Thailand but have historically low levels of contraction. The chances of getting with heterosexual encounter is statistically very low.

For that reason, I have never quite understood some of the sweeping statistics that come out of Thailand. Nor in 10 years have I ever met anyone here that has the infection. For those that do, I have nothing but sympathy and good wishes but rightly or wrongly, I believe that statistics are often inflated to draw attention or funding or other motive.

  6. I wish they would stop it all but its not likely is it, afterall, the PAD mob set a precedent, its obvious that the (much larger) red group will feel that they need to fight their corner.

Its a pity, the new guy has a good resume and economically could get Thailand going. I firmly put all this mayhem though at the doorstep of the PAD - its them that have turned Thailand into a banana republic.

For the good of the country, I hope that the police go in strong now against the Reds, and close-down any activity before it gets bigger AND that they lock-up Sondhi & the rest of the voodoo clan.

  7. There is quote from somewhere that springs to mind:

Just keep watching and read between the lines.

Even if they keep moving the lines,

the truth is still in there somewhere, warped as it likely is.

Its the PAD that keep moving the lines. They and their supporters have become a fanatical bunch of fascists. Now that there is a democratic PM, surely they should climb back under their stones - its one of their own afterall.
