I've got a z800 it's a great bike. 4 cyl water cooled runs fine here. I haven't had any problems with the braking and it is easily serviced as there are quite a few kawa big bike dealers in thailand. The weight I have never seen as an issue. It's a fast bike and I love it

I wouldn't call a 21 day steak a proper steak. I'd prefer a couple of more weeks hanging.Nothing wrong with good steak dipped in a no of home made sauce.
But I guess you have the Thai cooking side if things down pat. Glass houses and all that...
Remind me if we ever meet no to offer to buy you a proper steak She cooked the steaks to perfection, it was the rudeness with which she treated it that caused my near stroke...
God, I wish I could cook good Thai food. Since she and the kiddos are in the states and I am back and forth, I am forced to restaurants and street carts when I want a good Thai meal.
And I hope you consider a properly cooked streak one which has only briefly seen a hot flame. Otherwise I don't think we are on the same page of what is defined as a 'good steak'

Same thing happened with my turbo on a 2013 bt 50 3.2l 4x4 then the clutch went on it. This happened at 19000 km. A few days ago I was having problems getting the truck into 3rd gear, took it into Mazda they did something to it now I don't have gear one or two. But gear three is perfect. Thanks MazdaHeard this afternoon Our BT-50 at work popped the turbo, 18k on the clock so add that to the list.
To clarify everything, exactly what happened to the turbo in your BT-50?
Bearing failure is what I heard and compressor met housing.
At the end of the day people will have a good experience with a mass produced vehicle and others will not.
Roll the dice.
From all the failures I have heard about it is a tiny percentage of vehicles sold, problem with Thailand is when you have a failure they will tell you to <deleted> off (Ford in particular) when it comes to claiming on warranty.

Khon Kaen Ram might count and also they are opening a Bangkok hospital this month
I agree but those "twilight years" often involve medical needs too. I wonder how many fully settled Isaan farangs want to be treated the same way medically as a Thai old "un ????Ignoring the who's married to a prostitute section of this thread and getting back to what the original poster was talking about , I think a lot of it depends on your age , there comes a time in many peoples life when the bright lights of the city loose their attraction, a young active man may well get bored stiff in Isan but a man in the twilight section of his life might be at home there.

Having visiting many people in the local 'hospital', I always tell the wife, unless I'm in jeopardy of departing this mortal coil within the next 30mins never, ever ever let them take me there. I'm sure I can apply a tourniquet to my severed leg allowing me to get to the nearest Ram Hospital!
No Ram Hospitals in all of Issan. Need to pick another veterinary.

Thanks

It's a nightmare.
The connector doesn't connect, the hose is too stiff, too large or too awkward, and most of the time the pressure gauge is non-existent.
If you use the type that rings when done, usually it doesn't.
So far I have suffered pulled muscles, a ricked back, skinned knuckles and the pitying glances of fellow motorists.
Sometimes I plead antiquity or I feign farang ignorance and incompetence until a kind Thai springs to my aid.
Often I have left with tyres flatter than when I went in.
I promise to patronise any petrol station in Chiang Mai with a properly functioning, accurate, easy to use tyre gauge.
Please let me know if there is a decent air line in town, or around.
Seriously?

so amazing the thai people and their gifts.First off, Happy New Year to you all!Well, yesterday a man dropped off four sweet puppies in front of our friend's neighbor's home and drove away. So may his 2014 be as miserable as he is.
The neighbor is keeping two of the pups but our friend already has two rescue dogs and two cats and is just plain out of room.
So here's the favor. If you could help spread the word that these adorable puppies are available FREE to a loving home that would be so great.
PM me if you are interested or would like the contact number for someone who may be.

Where are they getting the stats for this? The last 3 days I have seen at least 7 accidents in chaiyaphum province. It is so retarded driving on the roads here that we stop driving before dark because you never know what is going to go down.
-
Try a few different bikes before you buy. Kawasaki( where I live anyway) has test drive bikes. Take a few bikes out and see what best fits you.
-
Yeah I'm interested. I miss that stuff. Can you pm me?
Thanks

I had a similar accident to yours but not quite as bad. I only needed the metal rod and screws. The pain I have was from swelling that I still get after standing for long periods of time. I started using Celebrex which really helps me. If you have the same symptoms you might want to try it. It's available in most of the big pharmacies here

A lot of people are saying the z800 is too heavy because it weighs 229kgs but the cbr 650 also is 206-211kgs and has about 30 less hp. Why isn't anyone talking about that.
So z800 does not have plastics?
agree 100 % I've had an old model 600 hornet for 10 years and these new Hondas seem a little less power than the old Hondas so it would be z800 for me,although with this new price on the cbr 1000 they only need to bring the proper 600 s now and you are pretty guaranteed a good price on themwhen seeing all these new models espicailly the naked ones i would still go for a Kawa at least it is looking right; not just like a bunch of cheap plastics. CB650F Galdius 650 Storm 650
A 230 kg naked is out of my list of course.

I had a 2011 klx 250 and it was a great bike. I never had a problem with it. It had lots of torque and was great on and off road. I went and looked at the Crf it looks alright but it didn't look as well built as the klx. So for me it would definitely be the Kawasakiwhich would be a better choice to go for?

Really? I think everyone should thank Kawasaki. If it wasn't for them gambling on this market I don't think we would have any of these new bikes here right now. Sure their sales figures will fall some but that only stands to reason when there are more players in the market. As for me, I won't buy anything but Kawasaki because they were the first company to give me an alternative to a scooter or an overpriced imported bike. Over the past 5 years dealing with them I have never had any problems with any of my bikes and the service at Kawasaki Udon and also Korat has been good. From that angle it looks like the cheap and nasty CB500.
When it comes to making mid-sized naked bikes Kawasaki have Honda's design team cleaning the toilet in Kawa HQ at this current time.
I wouldn't have a Kawa if you paid me. Watch their mid-sized bike sales figures fall through the floor over the coming year.

Sent from my GT-I9300 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Which price? We're debating on thin air and rumors.
You can stay re-assured, if Honda was to build these in Thailand (means opening a new production line and huge investment), it would be a very well know and publicized fact.
If and when these come to Thailand, will be imports.
Wasn't it, that another member ( Karlos) had a friend who was working on the engine productionline at a Honda factory in Thailand who started all the rumors??
Were's smoke there's fire??
I realise nothing is certain yet, and it might be all wishful thinking.
But ooh i hope the "rumors" are true.
Please Honda Thailand .... please....
