  1. Good work, I've always been a Republican supporter, but this time, the individual of Obama is just more than interesting.

I hope he knows what to do with the mess now, create a history, we're rooting for you Obama!

Please do not mention the word "Republican" in Thailand. The police may put you in jail.

"Democrate" however is very welcome here, at the PAD PM office ground.

  2. Just a question to the International Community on ThaiVisa....If B. Obama is Black, why are my Asian-American children called "mixed-race" on all census documents? It is even how they are classified on their birth-certificates in the US.

I am sure Tiger Wood would also be Black, and not Asian-American.

    I think he's 50% Thai, 25% American Indian and 25% African American

On 1/4 black? I find it amazing that he has not lose his shade. The whiter (darker) shade of pale.

  3. Oh yes, the argument that PAD itself plants this bombs to generate publicity, as it they are not getting enough.

These little bombs have been going off for years, starting from Santi Asoke itself. Oh wait, it was is Chamlong who blew up his own temple for publicity! Great conspiracy theory.

Was it also PAD that planted a bomb at Prem's residence? Or at judge's house? Or the one that was thrown in the midst of PAD guards and injured ten?

Have you not heard of the term "The third hand" (I don't mean The Third Reich ). Just ask any Thai what that means.

  4. I've been waiting 8 long years to put away my "I LUV Canada" t-shirts and proudly shout to the world again:

I AM AN AMERICAN AND I AM PROUD OF MY COUNTRY!!!

CHEERS ALL!!! Yes, I VOTED!!! :o

Both being Chinese living in Thailand, Sonthi said the same think when Thaksin won the election

I AM A THAI AND I AM PROUD OF MY COUNTRY!!!

    And what happens now?

  6. I am from the UK - I live here in Thailand and work in the Middle East.

I really think Today that you American voters have stepped forward in a huge way and I salute you - well done. Americans reputations abroad have not been good recently, but you really have stepped up again and shown how Democracy can and should work. I am very impressed by every one of you Today. Be proud.

Where I work people are amazed that you have elected Obama - there are no such freedoms here. I hope your vision and bravery in the face of tough economic times bears fruit - I also hope the UK looks at your example and votes out the present clowns in power.

As usual - you are leading the way again after some years in the shadows, well done and congratulations.

    :o

Don't be overjoyed yet. Wait till you British get a PM with a Bangladeshie father and Essex mother. Then start the celebration.

I really miss those Essex bimbos.

  7. This is only one of the many discussion. Just google "obama born in kenya" for more.

    http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Blogs/Message.aspx/3074

According to Obama's Kenyan (paternal) grandmother, as well as his half-brother and half-sister, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Kenya, not in Hawaii as the Democratic candidate for president claims. His grandmother bragged that her grandson is about to be President of the United States and is so proud because she was present DURING HIS BIRTH IN KENYA, in the delivery room.

Whatever. It is of no concern or consequence. A president can also be born outside the US of a US citizen and be eligible. The democratic party would never have nominated him if they any doubt he is eligible. Obama is president.

kinda of strange of regulations you have there. On one hand we have Obama who was born in Kenya, an African father and (left wing activist) American mother and be eligible for presidency and on another there is Arnold Schwarzenegger who was born in Austria from both non-American citizens and yet be elected as Governor of California. How do you square that?

For someone who claims he admires the US (except for the food), you sure are pretty critical.

It is only the president who must be a natural born citizen. Not senator, governor, or member of the school board. This is our Constitution, and no one has seen fit to amend that. Arnold is within his rights under our Constitution to run for any office except president. And Obama is a natural born citizen. Let's give you conspiracy theorists the benefit of the arguement and say he was born in Kenya. His mother is a US citizen, so he is, by our law, a US citizen.

That is how I square that.

    http://www.amnation.com/vfr/archives/011236.html

QUOTE "Barack Obama may not be a natural-born U.S. citizen, which under the Constitution would make him ineligible for the presidency. The charge consists of two elements: (1) He was not born in Hawaii, as he has claimed, but in Kenya. His mother and father were visiting Kenya, and she was unable to fly back to Hawaii for his birth because she was in an advanced stage of pregnancy. (2) U.S. law at the time said that a child born overseas to a U.S. citizen parent and a non-citizen parent was a natural born U.S. citizen only if the citizen parent was at least 19 years of age. Ann Dunham Obama was 18 when her son was born. The article also says that Obama's Kenyan relatives, his paternal grandmother, half-brother and half-sister, have claimed that he was born in Kenya." UNQUOTE

The law is the law no matter how silly it may sound. Remember how Samart got his PM chair remove for being a cook? Or how Thaksin sentence to jail for just signing concent for his wife to tranfer some land which he did not bought? (His wife bought it and found not guilty for buying it).

  8. I heard that 10% of americans think Obama is a Arab lol I hope that is not really true lol. I almost pissed my pants when I heard that

With a name like Barak Hussein Obama and who went to school as a kid in the world's largest muslim country I'm surprised it isn't over 50%.

I wonder what %age of the Middle East think he is or was muslim?

I went two years at an international school in Jakarta, that is making me a muslim?!?

No. But obviously it didn't do much for your reading comprehension. :o

His black father and brown step-father are both Muslim (from Kenya and Indonesia). His white mother is Christian (from Kansas).

Not to mention the rumor that he was actually born in Kenya and snuck into the US for a birth certificate. I would love to see that one proven as true.

  10. I take little to no interest in this.

But what I do enjoy is the thought of tens/hundreds of thousands of ignorants seething because they think that their new president is an Arabic Muslim Terrorist.

    Well done Obama.

You mean "Obama" as in Barak Hussein Obama? Personally, I can't believe someone with that name was elected to the US presidency, just a few years after focusing all the anger and might of the USA's military on a murderous tyrant of nearly exactly the same name in Iraq. So much for being tainted by name-association. Or, maybe McCain's middle name was "Hitler" and we just elected the lesser of the evils? :D

The Hussein part sould familar. Is Obama also related to Saddam Hussein? :o:D:D

  11. I hate how they keep saying he is the first black president and black this and black that. They should not even mention it, the guy is half black and it looks like to me that if you have any mixed blood and not pure you are the other race.

Anyways lets see how long he lasts with all the KKK supporters not liking this one bit.

Like Tiger Wood. He rather been called a BLACK, than a THAI.

  12. I think this must the double first in American history, the 1st black & 1st muslim president. Imagine when he'll invite the Al-Qaeda leader for a state visit. Obama meets Osama :o

    Obama's VP is Joe Biden.

    OBAMA-BIDEN

    OSAMA-BIn laDEN

I guess the suliminal message didn't work to well at the voting booths. :D

"Obama" and "Osama". Can't help wondering if they are half brothers.

  13. Just a state of fact

Most of Obama's money came from the over 3 million people who gave 200 dollars or less.

So, correct me if I am wrong:

US - Poor citizen donate 200 Dollar to the would-be-president so that he can represent them.

TH - Would-be-PM hand out 200 Baht to the poor citizen so that they can can represent him.

In that case, I would rather be in TH than US. So that I can save my $200 and still receive by B200.

  14. Small, poor countries trying to woo Thaksin's money

    By KORNCHANOK RAKSASERI

    THE NATION

    Published on November 5, 2008

At least five countries in the Atlantic and in Africa have reportedly offered asylum and advisory positions to former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra while living in exile. However, the attempts of these small countries are not seen having much political implication in the international arena.

    Story: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/2008/11/05...cs_30087617.php

Interesting to read that they are wooing his money more than the person.

I hope he takes up one of the offers, maybe he can be the Last King of the Central African Republic.

Not that poor. Data from Wiki, Bahamas Per Capital GDP is a few times bigger than Thailand:

    THAILAND:

    GDP (PPP)2007 estimate - Per capita$7,906 GDP (nominal)2007 estimate - Per capita$3,732

    BAHAMAS:

    GDP (PPP)2007 estimate - Per capita$24,960GDP (nominal)2007 estimate - Per capita$19,736

  15. PAD is not anarchists.

Stop throwing the word around if you don't understand it's meaning.

These people clearly know organization, which is the antithesis of anarchy.

    You may not like the form of some of their political government ideas;

which I see more as conceptual trial balloons rather than hard platforms.

But JUST HAVING ANY FORM OF GOVERNMENT IDEA

means they are NOT Anarchists. By definition.

I'm afraid it is YOU Sir, who does not fully understand the meaning and content of Anarchism as such and where it stands for. I don't know whether that is because you are a born American rather than European because the latter DO know what Anarchism stands for, I assure you, because our European parents and grand-parents witnessed and experienced the same ! And that was not a nice experience...

It's odd to think that anarchistic movements in Europe were NOT able to organize (themselves) as you put it. Far from it.

Anarchism is a political philosophy encompassing theories and attitudes which support the elimination of all compulsory government,[1] i.e. the state. - Wikipedia.

...and that is exactly where the PAD stands for: Eliminating the Government and that Sir, is Anarchy, simply because it's not based on Democracy but on the -personal hatred- thoughts and ideas of a few individuals.

There are very little to none democratic ideas in the "People's Alliance for Democracy".

I am surprised (read: shocked) that so many Farang members on TV are embracing and defending the PAD, it's actions and anarchistic ideas.

I can't tell if that behavior is based upon part- or complete ignorance about the origin of PAD and it's most important founder Sondhi Limthongkul or on real believe where the PAD stands for.

I simply can't believe the latter since most Farang (from Europe at least) know what has happened in the past 100 years alone when anarchy took over from common sense.

Your personal view is blurred when you write "which (government ideas, LP) I see more as conceptual trial balloons rather than hard platforms" because I'm convinced that Sondhi cs have drawn up hard platform plans waiting in their drawers to be put in place ACCORDING to the wishes of a few....IF THEY HAVE THE CHANCE TO GRAB POWER and govern the country... :o

It's naive to think the PAD stands for removal of the past and present governments alone...very naive. Sondhi wants power.

Only naive and ignorant PAD followers are not seeing this and the personal hatred thoughts of Sondhi Limthongkul cs.

But I can tell you here and now that HATE is a very bad and nasty thing in a man's brain...in the end it will destroy the carrier, ALWAYS :D

    LaoPo

Sonthi wants power? He already have power, mandated by doe.
