  1. Hi there
Me and my wife has been through this a couple of years ago. Not living donor though

If you have a donor that fulfills all stringent criteria

,it is not just the blood group.

Fine you can choose any of the them

    Chula , Srirajt or Ramathibodi

There will also be a lot of tests that the reciever needs to  go through.

The most important factor is that it is a perfect match

If your donor doesnt match you 100%

I would do it privately and you can recieve a kidney from the Thai Red Cross.

    Waiting time depends

For us less than a year

All depending on the best match and if the hospital is ready.

We used Rama 9 hospital as they have a lot of teams standby

The cost is under 1 million THB if no complications

If privately they will charge you a lot for all medication and tests needed afterwards.

You may be able to get that from the National Health Service but they seem to be a bit reluctant  if you have done this privately

I would choose a hospital near where you live as you are going to spend a lot of time going there.
    especially the first year

    Good Luck

  2. Passport pages fill up quickly these days...

I am on a yearly extension (married)

    Passport still valid 2 years

Can I leave the country with my nearly full passport and get a new in my home country

going  back to LOS  showing old (cancelled) and new?

Called TM and they told me I have to get a new passport in Thailand if I want to keep my extension

Sounds a bit strange to me?

  3. Hi everyone

It seems that there is quite some interest for the 928.

I love and hate the car. It has been my daily driver for 5 years

(94 GTS) and a lot of things has gone wrong, but been fixed.

Thanks for the tips about Cavalino.

Khun Wat at Siam 911 i know very well and he is a very capable man when it comes to mechanics

and has helped me a lot.

More difficult to find someone who is good at fixing the little gremlins......

A lot of stuff you can find out yourself at rennlist.com where there is a special section for 928.

Finding parts is easy, if buying from the US.

There are also wrecks around or actually "half" cars imported from japan as parts

Finally watch out for the dreaded TBF.

    Enjoy the ride!

    Tom

  6. Hi everyone,

Need help to find a good mechanic for this model.

I have got the "Hammer" so testing is no problem.

I have been in contact with AAS Bangkok, but they

mainly change parts instead of repairing i.e. expensive

    My e-mail:<snip>

    Best regards,

    Tom :o
