  1. the visa was free, I rang them and what sounded like a thai with an Australian education spoke with me to explain that the website is yet to be updated, the other Thai who sounded like any other Thai who i was dealing with my first inquiry just said "you can get another visa in another country" :) apparently it's being changed from 6 to 3 months.... well it has in Australia.

  2. number 6 of the instruction which I quoted about 6 months to utilize that was from the website of my local consulate, I'm so annoyed to why they have done this, let me als add this is dne in Australia

"6. A one-entry visa must be utilized within 3 months from the date of issue of the visa. A double entry visa must be utilised within 6 months from the date of issue of the visa. A multiple entry visa must be utilized within one year."

  3. This really sucks because i read on their site that for a double entry you have 6 months to utilize and 3 months for a single entry, I rang them and they said 3 months, I guess i'll just apply for another single entry after doing more traveling around Asia

i now have to change the dates on my outgoing and incoming tickeets to Kl and from Singapore back to BKK to make sure im back in Thailand on the 6th Sept

So frustrating but you learn, I just have to alter my planned schedule I had

"6. A one-entry visa must be utilized within 3 months from the date of issue of the visa. A double entry visa must be utilised within 6 months from the date of issue of the visa. A multiple entry visa must be utilized within one year."

  4. I land on the 18th July where i'll get my first stamp, the girl at the consilate said sometihng about date of issue? so i must get my secound stamp before the 7th September so I cant extend my first entry?

so i pretty much screwed up with the date i submitted my visa application?? it's 90 days from date of issue to secound re entry :)

  5. Hi Guys

I just got my 2 entry tourist visa, the stamp says that my second entries must be utilized before the 7th September (52 days) I thought a two entry must be utilized within 6 months?? Not 3?? What options for extensions have I got? Am I able to extend that 7th September for another 30 days while in Thailand then leave and come back and get the second entry stamped for 60 days and then extend 30 after that??

Thanks for your help, this is my first visa I’ve done besides the ones you get at the airports

    Cheers

    Thailand Re-entry Permit

If you plan to re-enter Thailand on your existing visa. For example - if you enter Thailand on a single entry tourist visa and want to make a side trip to Cambodia and want to re-enter Thailand on your tourist visa, you would have to obtain a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand.

There are two types of re-entry permits -

    1) Single re-entry permit - As the name suggests, this permit allows you to re-enter Thailand only once. The duration of the permit is the same as your existing Thai visa. The fee for this permit is 1000 THB.

    2) Multiple re-entry permit - This permit allows you to re-enter Thailand as long as your visa is valid. The fee for this permit is 3800 THB.

Re-entry permits can be obtained at the airport, other immigration checkpoints or at the immigration department office in the city. (Soi Suan Plu in Bangkok).

  7. Hello

This is just one of those uncertain questions that linger when doing these visa apps

I am handing in my visa form in the next few days for July, I am going for a 2 entry tourist visa and i plan to extend both entries. I plan to visit Malaysia and Singapore as a side trip for a week but don't plan to do so at around the 60 day mark. so the question is if i extend the 60 days with another 30 days and I depart for a week what happens when i come back? do they restamp my book? stamp my second entry? please can someone answer if you know

  8. I'm confused... I rang my consulate regarding the proposed address in thailand and local guarantor with being told to leave the prosed address and just put a family member as guarantor. I also said that "i heard that the visa fees have been waved" her reply was "No not true" <deleted> :D does this only apply in Thailand and not in other countries or something? or am i being mislead by a thai in my own country!! :)

    Cheers

  9. Hi I will applying for a double entry visa soon and I wanted to know if i have to buy a outgoing ticket around the 60 day mark even though Im planning to extend to 90 days. a outgoing ticket is required ofcourse. If i do buy a ticket at the 60 day mark and I extend then basically i waste a ticket right unless i change the date at a fee. also when i leave the country at the 90 day and come back to start my next 90 days how many days maximum can i leave the country for? and do i have t have another outgoing ticket around the next 60 day mark?

    Cheers

  10. Hi

Can i do this? get a double entry visa in Australia and top up in LOS and do the below scenario

    30 days visa + border run = 15 days + first entry visa = 90 days + border run = 15 days + second entry = 90 days = 240 days or 8 months

and als once the 8 months is done is it just visa runs for 15 days for land and 30 days for ocean or are visa options avalible cloe by like Vientiane and would I have trouble getting another multiple a few weeks after?

    Cheers

  11. Hi,

A bit about myself. I'm 26, Male and from Australia, graduated High school and have worked my way up to management with a diploma. I have done allot of traveling but I want more as most people on here do. I was looking at doing a TESOL course with 3 specialisation courses yet to be decided, maybe a bit of feedback on this one? But the major question about doing this is what can I expect once I have done the course. Is a TESOL on itself enough? With only a TESOL course to my name how easy or hard will I find a job and what type of pay may be offered?

    Cheers :o
