  1. Just a small adding, one have the right to worry. No need to criticism him for this... I found worry totally legitimate in that particular case. Especially when you are not living in Thailand and you want to go there, you don't know how it is. And from outside, it does look "uncertain", whatever the reality is.

That said, I know a little about Thailand - I live in Vietnam and have been few times there - and I do love that country and Thai people. I guess it is one of a good place to live and most probably to raise children. Much safer than many places in France, for instance ( I'm french ), where even I am a little worry to live in.

Anyhow, if you have opportunity to go there, don't worry and do it. Especially if you have a family circle to "protect" your child. But just take care not to lose control over this and that your child is not only Thai educated. It has to get benefit of both cultures. But that's a personnal thinking.

  2. I don't know who is crazier. The bloke, the girl, the Thaivisa admin who thought this was exciting enough to send an email or the coppers who seem set waste their time with these oddballs. Or me, first for clicking the link and then for posting in the thread.

Probably the guy. After all, he's Belgian.

Haha. Your message is certainly making a LOT of sense. I totally agree. ( And I clicked too :) )

  3. Thanks a lot for all that information. I will definitely look at that school as Chiang mai looks very interesting. :o

Thanks also for all that Thai vocabulary. Do you feel that you can exchange easily with local people? How long have you been learning at that school yet?

Just one notice that I have to do:

"Remember Thai expresses the adjective after the noun, so it comes out backwards for us Westerners."

Actually, as a French Westerner, it is quite perfect for me because the way to build the sentences in Thai is pretty much similar to French.

  4. Actually, I personnaly appreciate the reverse thinking.

It's surely not standard stuff, but still makes sense in the way that it can provide you another calculating grid to be crossed with the more standard business plan grid calculation.

Using the reverse thinking, you say, "I want this, so how can I reasonnably get to my break even point?".

Then you sure get interesting information. And by crossing you reduce the "randomness" and "theoricalness" of the usual business plan. That still mandatory, no need to say it. ( ok I did ). At first for that lovely bank institution.

So, I cannot give you answers as I leave in Vietnam, but I will say that you are on a good start, and certainly in a very appreciable positivity.

    Keep going on.
