  1. They requested all the above as mentioned
  2. Sure. It was a bit anti-climactic TBH, lol. Went into the SB office, signed two documents, had to bring 6 2x2.5 inch photos with blue background, 1 signed copy of my passport, visa, WP and house reg book. I then went into the small Supervisor's office in the back, they gave me a small Buddha offering tray, had me recite my oath, took a couple of photos for their records and sent me on my way. Took all of 5 min 😂
  3. Enough of this depressing news. Let me provide some surprisingly good news. After more than 1 year HRM has approved 62 applications that have been sitting at the Palace. Almost all were Chinese, but there were also a few Indians and roughly 7 Westerners. I was sworn in on Monday so now just need to wait for the RG announcement, but as it's under a new government, SB could not give me an estimate on when it will be published. So close now........ :-)
  4. If you continue to maintain your work permit and visa without interruption for 3 years you may qualify for permanent residency; however, there are many other items you need to pass in order to qualify
  5. I have a very reliable source that has told me candidly that until Thailand can "stabilize" no further applications are going to be approved for the time-being.
  6. My wife has an IB account and transfers money from SCB to it all the time. You have to fill out the BOT authorization once per year with a total estimated amount of how much you will send and declare the reason is for investment. The bank will help with the form processing and you keep the approved letter from BOT so the next time you go it takes all of 5 min. Money arrives in her account in less than 2 hrs
  7. FYI we were told this morning that there are more than 200 applications waiting at the Palace for final signature by HRM. As of next month my paperwork is there for 1 year already ????
  8. Still no signatures from the Palace yet either ????
  9. Thanks. Guess I should've ready the fine print first >< DOH!
  10. Is anyone from this forum on that list? I'm curious as to when their paperwork was signed by HRM. Mine is still sitting at the palace since Oct.
  11. Normally the application fees for a Por. 3 are approximately 3.5k thb; however, as of now, the shops are refusing to even apply for foreigners and or foreigners who have obtained Thai Citizenship, so for the time being you can't do anything.
  12. Happy to see this part of the process is moving. Unfortunately, HRM has still not signed any applications. My documents are at the Palace since October last year
  13. I'm still here too, but there's been zero movement in my case since Sept when my paperwork was sent to the Palace. I was originally told I should be prepared in Ian for the swearing in, but my paperwork still hasn't been signed by HRM. SB has not had any feedback and no idea when it will be signed

  15. I thought previously the timeline to citizenship issuance after the MOI final interview was 12 months, no?
  16. I was informed by SB that my paperwork is currently at the Palace awaiting signature
  17. More than 2 years ago. I posted the date here somewhere at one point
  18. Has anyone who had their final MOI interview on May 24th of this year heard anything about the sign-off from the Minister? I thought it would have been completed and sent to the Palace by now. Thanks.
