I am specifically looking at the Premier service, for the reasons you stated, plus I see that you get 1054 upload speed which is great for gaming.

I would quite happily have signed up, but sadly I am apparently just 100 meters too far away to get access! Sukhumvit 55 covered, Sukhumvit 53 not!

I just called Maxnet and asked if they cover my area, Sukhumvit 53. They said they cover Thonglor, which is Sukhumvit 55. How disappointing!

BTW, do not expect an English speaker to answer despite pressing 9 for English. Their call center seems a little shoddy. Hope their service is better. Would love to dump True.

If you want to connect an hard disk drive on your tv or dvd/divx player the HDD must be formatted in FAT or FAT32. I use my 160 Gb 2.5" HDD connected to my home Theatre system, works fine.

If your appliance is Divx certified, better. LG usually are

Firstly, yes, it is DivX certified. I was aware of the FAT32 issue and used partition magic to make it FAT32 as Windows format cannot format over a certain size for FAT32.

Plugged in my FAT32 180GB with 1 movie loaded onto it into the USB port on the LG DVD player and nothing.

Does ayone know what the size limit is for an LG (sorry don't know the exact model) to accept a USB thumbdrive. I tried my external 180GB HDD and it wouldn't recognize that, popped the gf's 1 GB thumbdrive with a movie on it and that seemed to work fine.

I would just like to know if there is a GB size limit that DVD players can handle. The LG DVD player I bought just last week from PowerBuy at the Emporium, comes with USB, DivX etc... so it's fairly new.

Read the reviews about the Storm, do a little research. I think you'll find that you will go with the Bold until RIM put some real 'lighting' in the Storm.

I am looking to buy a Nintendo Wii and cant seem to find any 2nd hand systems for sale so I took a look at Nadz project website and they are selling the jap version for 10,500 and the US version for 12,500. I had heard previously there was a problem with menu options being displayed in English on the jap ones but on the Nadz site it mentions that it has a "region changer" which allows for full english menus and options............Anyone care to shed so me light on whether this is an option for me to save a few baht or should I pay the extra and if so........why ?

I also have one of the modems mentioned above and was also wondering if its possible for the pc and the wii to share the same modem at the same time or must one machine be switched off to allow the other to access the internet ?

I personally went for a new modded US version, bought from MBK around 8-9 months ago. It cost 18,500 with and extra controller and nunchuck along with 10 games free. I would have imagined that these prices would have come down somewhat now.

As for the router, sure, you can use them at the same time. I have my desktop downloading torrents, my Wii playing online in the other room along with a laptop in the front room all sharing the connection. Obviously depending on the bandwidth you have with your ISP your game play could be affected with lagging out. But general internet browsing whilst playing the Wii online is just fine. Downloading torrents at high speeds will affect your gameplay.

I have mine set up 'properly' though i.e. assigning IP addresses to each unit and set up port forward (for downloading torrents). However, this isn't necessary as all your machines (Desktop/Wii/Laptop) can be set to automatically set IP address and there shouldn't be any conflicts. This is the default configuration, so no need for you to do anything. Just have the router switched on and away you go!

I have tot broadband, a d-link ADSL router model DSL526B. I would like to use my wii online and have read the best way to do this is via a wireless connection. So if i buy a wireless router do i simply use this instead of my existing router or do i have to use both via connecting the wireless router to existing router. Is there a recommended brand of wireless router for use with the the wii, will i have any reconnection problems whilst installing a new router ???.

I have a Zyxel P-660HW Series 4 port wireless router, very common and fairly cheap (True actually give them away free if you set up a wireless account with them I believe). Mine connects via one of the 4 ports to my desktop computer in my spare room and my Wii is in the front room. Very easy to set up. The Wii should identify your wireless router when you go to the Wii options menu and detect networks in range. I would make sure you set it up securely though, the wirless network that is, password protect it so noboby can piggy back it.

Also, you may want to be careful if your Wii is modded and you're playing pirate games. If so, don't do a Wii online firmware update if you don't want to risk 'bricking' your Wii. Or if you know what you're doing, install the Homebrew Channel onto and SD card and you're good to go. (Google Homebrew Channel).

I have Homebrew Channel installed on my Wii and I can update firmware, play multiregion games, pirate games etc....

I can't provide credibal source names, I do however have reliable colleauges who has seen these vehicles moving at pace in Bangkok. And as I stated 8pm but the undisclosed 'official' time.

I believe military vehicles have been seen heading towards the Police Headquarters. Looks like the coup is on. Unofficially heard that 8pm being the time. Still rumours are abound, but military vehicles have definitenly been seen in numbers moving at speed in Bangkok.

Try PP Live or TV Ants. Do a google on both and they should be number 1 in the search list. I did try to post links but apparently I am not allowed to do that?!

Not sure that they show Thai TV Channels as I've never tried due to living in Thailand. I do occassionally use one or the other to watch the English Premiership if it's raining and the satellite reception drops.
