If they just limited it to this, it would certainly be a lot better. But they don't. You need to show that you have minimum half a million baht on your bank account, two different sorts of insurance, pre-paid quarantine hotel, tracking wrist band a'la Orwell 1984, and a million other things that I cannot remember now. If they just has two or three tests and 10 day quarantine, but unfortunately the control has gone completely berserk!

You do not seem to understand that 8000 children extra die every day from staration, and hundreds of millions are sinking into deep poverty. Many, many more will die from hunger, than is saved from the so-called covid death.

Which price? Norway has had nearly no deaths for months. Sweden has had nearly no deaths for several months. Denmark is about the same. Despite the fact that there is nearly no economic lockdown, here. And those who died and the extremely few that die these days, are all older and nearly all in old people's home.
And what is the price of the economic shutdown, that a great part of the world has done? 8000 children more than normal, every day, starve to death on this planet. Millions more will starve to death before the year is over. Not to mention the hundreds of millions that will sink into deep poverty, with malnutrition and starvation as a consequence. And for those countries that has completely locked down - China, Thailand, Australia, etc. - when are they opening up again? Ever? Because the corona is here for good, is it not? And the vaccine? Can such be developed? Will it be efficient? When will it be ready? And now it looks like the covid has done a serious mutation on Danish mink farms, which means that the vaccine that is being developed now, won't work on the new strain. And what if a new virus with the same infection mortality rate as the covid emerges every other year - are we then going to shut down the world economy forever? How many will die from that, you think?
More than a million die from malaria every year. More than a million die from cholera every year. More than a million die in traffic accidents every year. Half a million die from the flu every year. And so on, and so forth. If no lockdowns were made, probably 2-3 million would have died with covid in a 12 month period. And with the recent knowledge we have about the virus, less will die in the future. We have more and more medicine to treat it. Already now, here in Scandinavia, the infection mortality rate is FAR below that of the seasonal flu! Please do check the numbers before you say anything! They are extremely easy to come by.
To totally shut down countries like Thailand and Australia have done, is unintelligent, shortsighted, and definitely brutal to so many people. Cost & Benefit. Everything comes with a price!

Looks like the nurse is tired, has no energy, made short shrift. If just happens one time, then just a reprimand. No one is perfect. However, if repeated, maybe a warning would be necessary. Maybe the nurse is over worked.

Well, I actually think, after all these statements from Thai authorities, statements that reveal a certain mentality with regards to foreigners, that Thailand's reputation is somewhat harmed, and that this will reduce the number of tourists, coming to the kingdom, for a long time post-covid. But actually I think many Thais and some people in power in the country like that. They don't want these huge numbers of tourists coming to the country, as has been predicted. 2019's 40 million is already too much. They are getting tired of us. I think so.

They want contradictory things, simultaneously. I think they people in power are fighting a lot. Looks so. Must be so. In order to mass tourism to come back, more clarity is needed, as potential tourists risk losing lots of money.

As I'm in the group "50-69", does this mean that 5 out 100,000 people in this segment are going to die from this super lethal disease?
I really hope, this high number - 5 - is a massive exaggeration! I'm seriously scared now.
In mentally terrible situations like this, it always helps me a lot if I go and I sit on my scooter for a little ride to relax.

Thailand hospitals are very quiet. If the virus was raging through the population then these hospitals would be busy.

Here in Denmark we opened nearly totally up two months ago, and now we have 125 hospitalisations, 18 in intensive care, and 6 in respirator. We are six million people in this country. We have around 2-3 deaths per day from corona. What exactly constotutes "over filling" in your definition?
Jesus! What is wrong with people these days... Everyone with just the slightest trace of a brain can so easily conclude, based on cases versus deaths for all Scandinavian countries, that covid no longer pose a threat against human health, generally.
Thailand must realise this FACT and fully open, direct the money towards the hospitals and learn to treat covid patients like we are here in Scandinavia, and extremely few deaths will be found in Thailand.

Denmark has had nearly no restrictions for the past two months (yesterday got some), and has 125 hospitalisations right now, 18 in intensive care, 6 in respirator.
