I w ill be spending a month in Mahasakharm as my partner is doing renovations to her house so we have to be there for while to supervise  

I have been there many times but only for a short time but have never found any expat friendly bars or restaurants serving western food other than black canyon

My question is does anyone know of any places in Mahasaharm  , bars restaurants or any places that western people meet up, gets a but lonely hanging around her house at night etc and are there any thaivisa members living there would be good to meet up.

Is there any limit on how many tourist visa a thai can get for Australia.

The reason i ask is because i have bought my Thai Girlfriend to Australia 3 times on tourist visas with no problems,but now she says she has been told my a friend that she can not get any more ,she has to now get a spouse visa,does not sound right to me, also very expensive and time consuming ,,can anyone give me any advice on this ,,,

i thought they might be a lot cheaper in thailand,,JB Hi fi Melbourne has them for $779 AUD , and can get 10% back at airport for gst. not a bad deal then...21000 is about $750 aud.

Coming to pats next week,want to buy HTC Desire phone,are they available in Thailand,if so any idea of costs??

Some friends and i are going up to the village of Pai up near the border, about 4 hour bus trip from chaing mai , can anyone give me a report on the place, i heared it just full of the dreadlock backpaker crowd,,,true or false???

Yes i live near there as well,i signed up ,,yes it works,, i think i took the i week option,( i am back in Melbourne art present so am not conected at present )

it works ok ,not very fast and i had a few drops which is a pain as u have to log back in again,but its cheap and faster than the gprs connection on my phone that i have been using and is good to able to surf the net from your room without going down to the cafes.

Hi not wishing to change the topic but,,,, i wear a pair of Savia 211dsz hearing aids that are in need of checking and some adjustments made to the hearing programs,is there anywhere in Bangkok that can do this for me ???/ otherwise it means i have to go back to ausralia just to hve the work done.
