i recently had an aviary built using the wire mesh you are looking for.....i could not find it in chiang mai..  i ordered it from Mr. Natttawat....phone numbers are 028745211 and 0878358118....it was 3 ft high and 100 ft long.....it is the heavy guage wire not the flimsly wire mesh that you find locally.....he shipped it to me from bangkok....good luck....

it is located on 108 on chiang ma/hang dong road south of Makro on the opposite side of the road next to the Mazda dealership.....

i do not know what day they have the auction but they usually have a large number of motorcycles there just before the auction....

there is a guard there who should be able to tell you when the auction is held......

a lot of cars are auctioned there too....

in Sanpatong they have a saturday market also called buffalo market. when i go there usually there are one or more turkeys for sell....they are located in the back of the market on the right hand side of the road where they sell roosters, chickens and other small animals....

they have had two events this year....lot of participation and lot of people looking...

Hard for me to tell you how to get to it but I would not mind meeting you and showing you the way...

The man running it is real good....All the people I have met there have been real nice...

I have spoken in English to some monks at Suan Dok temple on Suthep Road before...

They sat down with me for a while explaining what they do...

One was from Burma and the other one was from Cambodia...

Go to the temple and ask to speak to a monk who knows english...

I think you will find what you are looking for there...

I live in Sanpatong and have 3BB internet and have been very happy with them..

Check with Siam TV on the moat.....they sell a lot of Electrolux products and they do have a service department behind the store too....

the royal project shop at the corner of doi suthep road and canal road sells plums but i am not sure which months they sell them...they are selling peaches now from what someone told me...never know what they will have unless yu visit often...

where is the exercise park? it looks really nice.....chiang mai needs a lot more parks...thanks for the video...

Chiang Mai Immigration is issuing Certificate of Residency....Went in monday and officer asked me to come back on tuesday at 11am....my wife picked it up on tuesday without any problems...did pay 500 baht...needed it to get yellow book...

how far do you live from Sanpatong...

there is a gym on the southeast side of town ....

may be further than you would want to drive...

i was searching ebay this morning for legg's sausage seasoning and got one result...

when i got my five year license in chiang mai i went about 30 days before it expired...

i had gone to the office earlier and the lady upstairs gave me a form showing what i needed to bring with me and on the form it said i needed to renew up to 60 days before my one year license expired..

check with Sriphat Medical Center pharmacy....

if you need a prescription, you should be able to see a doctor for a small fee...

Sriphat is located on Suthep Road and is part of CMU...it is located with the

large government hospital...

i get my insulin at the pharmacy located in the Suan Dok part of the hospital...

three vials cost me 477 baht...

you can google them for phone number and location...many of them speak

english...

Does the current license have to be current? I heard that they wouldn't let you reapply until the temp one is expired.

when i went to get my one year license was about to expire in nov 2011. the lady upstairs at the information booth said i needed to come in anytime within 60 days of the expiration date...

my thai wife and her son recently went in to get their licenses renewed.....both had expired,,,my wife's license had expired about 2 years ago.....she did not have to take any written tests, not sure about the eye exam...

best to check with the lady upstairs......she was very helpful and spoke very good english.....she gave us paperwork showing everything i needed to get my 5 year license...

at the mae jo university ag fair a couple of years ago, there was a man selling fig trees.....the fair is usually in january but i have not seen anything on it......also the chiang mai university usually has a ag fair close to the same time...usually many of the vendors sell at both fairs...

the royal project shop in chiang mai sells figs....if you contact them they may be able to put you in touch with someone who can help you....you can google them for phone number...

i go to Icon Fitness in sanpatong....not sure what you call a quality fitness center but this one

has plenty of free weights and several different weight machines...

they have three treadmills...

there is no a/c. just wall fans...

the people are nice there and keep the place clean...

it is advertised to be opened from 8am to 9pm'

there are a couple of ladies who go there about 6am every morning and i go

about 7am...usually there are no more than 4 people there at that time...

it is closed on sundays..

the cost is 40bt per day, 400bt per month, 1000 for 3 months or 4000bt for a year...

i renewed my one year license last year in chiang mai..

i got a five year license without any tests for the driver's license...

i went to the DL office on hang dong road before my one license expired.

on the second floor there is a customer service desk and the person speaks

english very well..

she gave me a piece of paper with all the info i needed to get my license

renewed for 5 years.

it stated i had 60 days Before the one year license expired to get my 5 year

license...

go by there and they will let you know everything you need....

i have sleep apnea too....you said you were going to the states and might buy a cpap there.....you will need a prescription from an american doctor to purchase a new one in the usa......i had my son purchase mine on craigslist from an individual and he shipped it to me...it is legal to buy from an individual...the machine i purchased had been used very few hours.....the machine has a menu for showing the total hours it has been used....i use a nasal mask and i am happy with it....just cannot sleep on stomach but no problem with sleeping on back or sides....good luck...

it is the thought that counts....thai's appreciate any gifts given to them.....many thai's have given me gifts including soy milk and glass noodles in package....

the chocolate would be good,,,,if you bring chocolate back with you keep it with your carryon and it should be ok....
