Digger Hire
in Isaan
Hello Damian .Can anyone tell me the going rate to hire a 5ton digger for a couple of days in Udon Thani please, self drive, and where is the best place to get one? It has to be at least a 5 ton machine.
Also, best place to order concrete and rebar for foundations in Udon Thani.
Thank you
I've been in the building game here for 15 plus years and have 2 diggers we are Surin based so cant help sorry .
From my knowledge no one over here will let you drive the machine , and if they did you would need to be very careful as most don't take good care of the machines and if something breaks you might well get landed with the bill .
My advice hire the machine with a driver .
Ask the guys doing the road contracts .
Good luck

Thaiwasdoo has some good deals on right now .Hi
I have a large area of hardstanding around the periphery of our house that require to be tiles.
Looking for best place (price and selection) to make purchase in or around Khon Kaen. I have checked out obvious places such as Homepro, Du Home etc.
Are there other places or am I stuck with status quote?
Many thanks

When we build a house up there 7 years ago they had a few Farang bars and always a few chaps to have a beer and chat with .Also they had a out door steak restaraunt by a lake with a running track Thai style but not bad .

Only in thailand could builders screw up a good product like PU foam spray. Nothing better for insulation if installed properly.
I've see some colour bond steel roofing sheets what has the same spray foam on the underneath , not cheap but very good to make the steel roof sheet insulated and none noisy .
I took a lighter and puff up in smoke black smoke and flames , the lady in the shop selling it was in a shock .
Colour Bond is an Aus product , sold in Thailand .

You should get a better installer who uses quality materials and knows his job.
Yes maybe the company that did the spray foam were bad I agree , but not going to say who .
If the right tiles are fitted normally there is no problem .
C Pac are a good roof tile .

It burns very easy and gives off black smoke loads of , it's highly toxic and dumps won't allow people to even tip it .
All I'm saying is if can better not use .
I'm not name or shaming any company ( I could ) I'm just telling the truth .
Sorry to disagree .

Alanthebuilder could probably be correct about the foam spray, but I have noticed the Pattaya house seems cooler when we have visited. Probably subjective, and I wouldn't contradict a professional builder.

Also this is highly flammable with toxic smoke !
If you want to cool your home better use lagging On Top of the ceiling boards (none flammable and cheaper ).

Hello, I am currently building a home near Mukdahan, does anyone know of a company or person that does the spray on PU foam insulation for the roof, I am not confident the cement tiles will not leak during heavy rain and wind, when they installed the tiles, I could see daylight through most of them, please let me know if you can recommend someone or another way to seal the cement tiles.
Thank you
C pak monier are very good tiles , I knew 1 company that did this foam spray I put him into 4 jobs all failed , it can work sometimes but better to use good door tiles and not this rubbish.

Funny when approaching a roundabout they stop on the roundabout so the whole thing comes ro a stand still , why dont they teach them the ethics of how a roundabout works

The last thing you will be doing if you drive in Laos is "chilling". More like pulling your hair out. Don't forget to purchase insurance...
Been there a few time roads very quiet not much traffic hey I can chill driving in Bangkok ;]
-
car passport Hmmm ,,The car needs to be clear of finance, you need a car passport and a few photocopies.
You pay a few hundred baht for insurance in laos.
look in the motoring form for threads detailing all this.

Hi guys Alan the builder here.
I pay 3 % for all my workers I don't deduct it from there wages I pay it for them .
My workers are also classed as part time as we go from one contract to another and normally we have a break between each contract .
I'm told if full time it's 5 % .
Also I'm told the % age can change depending on the economy.
I'm no expert but this is what I'm told .
