  1. A friend formed a shell company to by a house here.

    They then went back west.

They wish to sell the house as they have an interested party waiting with a deposit.

The problem is no accounts were submitted in the last 3 years!! they have come back and the accountant has told them the company has now been suspended/closed!

It has to go to through the courts to start up the company again and it could take anywhere between 1-3 months at an estimate.

The buyers will not wait that long.

Is there another way to sell the house?

  2. Finishes next sunday 29th Jan.

Obviously have to go to the immigration office friday 27th as sunday it will be closed.

    I require a 7 day extension.

My question is this, will the 7 days be stamped from the 29th when it runs out or from the 27th when i go to immigration?

I have to book a flight out so it would be helpful to know what day i will be leaving!

    Cheers in advance.

  3. Hi Folks....

    Quick question needs answering please.

When I apply for my wifes 'Indefinate leave to remain' status do we need a translated copy of our Thai marraige Cert?? We didnt when we applied for the 2 year spouse visa in BKK, but now that we are in the UK i am just wondering!!

We have had 2 years here in the UK to get everything ready and now the appointment is in 3 weeks time and its all getting very stressful! :o

    Thanks in advance.

  4. Cant beat a London Black Taxi... better then the scabs..

to W1 about £70-£80... not bad between 4 of you...................DaddyCool

Perhaps a good indication of just how many people could not afford a UK holiday!

Not sure how many people cant afford a UK holiday, but apparently 29 million people can ( annually )..according the national statistics.

I thinks thats more tourists than Thailand!

  5. Cannot fault either resort....both, too a very high standard re; accommodation and food....both approx 600baht a nite....american breakfast available at both...Chomdao chalets are solid red brick whilst Chuanthanapanya are wooden. Just one point...a bottle of wine is 400 baht at Chomdao and 800 baht at Chuanthanapanya, but you can get wine in local Tesco ( 200-300 baht) and both resort restaurants will cork at no charge......no website for Chomdao.

    Thanks Kevin

Think I will go with Chuanthanapanya, looks great.

Shame Chomdao doesnt have a website. I might have alook when I get there though.

  6. When I visited the area last year we chose to stay in Nakhon Phanom instead. The River View Hotel there with view over the Mekong river is really nice. It's almost one hours drive from Sakhon Nakhon, but we wanted to stay comfortable.

The river view hotel does look nice granted, but unfortunately Nakhon Phanom is a bit far for us.

We would prefer to be west of S.N and east of Udon Thani.

The Green Gecko looks good, but pricey.

  7. Hi

Just looking for some info from anyone who can help.

Going to Sakhon Nakon soon and would like to stay in a nice hotel/resort nearby which has wifi and a pool if possible??

Also is it best to fly in to Udon and rent a car from Avis as I am not sure I can rent a car a S.N airport?

    Thanks in advance.

  9. Need some helpful advise pls.

I am applying for spouse visa for my wife.

Question 6.8.13 on page 13. 'Do you intend to work in the UK'?

I don not know how to answer for the best. She will work if she is granted the visa and applies for an N.I Number, I can also provide a company letter from the place she will be working saying that they will offer her a position, but on the other hand is it easiest just to say no and prove that I will be able to support us both as they might think she is an economic migrant if I say yes! :o

    cheers for any advice.
