Interesting, in was born in Lagos in 64 where my father was also a British Diplomat so I guess that they might have know each other.

Not sure if the dates match up but we must have been there from 62 until 65.

Why not try moo ban Palm Springs on the Mahidol road a short drive from the airport and town.

I have a house in there ,currently renting it out at the moment but it if you take a drive around the village you will see some properties up for rent , I know the the house opposite mine is-for rent at 40 k a month.

It's a very nice place to live , swimming pool tennis courts a park .

Quite a few westerners mainly working for foreign companies who also bring the families along .

Most of the children go to international schools who have a pick up and drop off service for the children which is one less thing to worry about.

Yes I spent a good six years there and afghan until I got injured so doing some retraining now for the medic side ,so I may try and get back there next year once have my primary care paramedic qualification .

Anyway thanks for all your comments,

I have looked into to the matter a bit more and from what can see it would mainly be a tax problem , ie I would have to pay tax if my property is related to a business . My problem is the tenant may leave without paying taxes and leave me to sort out the problem therefore she has been given a no on her request as of yesterday .

I have used a couple of places for boarding my dog and would recommend Happy gambol dogs on the way to mai rim.

Nice and clean with air con if needed ,they also have a field that they use for exercise two or three times a day also a swimming pool.

The other place I used in hangdong was cheaper but the quality of care was not so good ,my dog came back covered in fleas.

I have a house in Chiang Mai and currently renting it out to a European lady ,she has contacted me say that she plans on opening a buisness in Chiang mai and she has asked me if i can send here a copy of our blue book and my Thai wife's Id as she needs this to set up the business.

I am just a bit concerned about her request as she may try and do something that is not legal ,,,ie sell my house or take out a loan or something like that for her benefit .

Any need for concern ??
