Article from the May 6th Bangkok Post,
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has dismissed a claim made online by ex-prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra in which he said the Pfizer vaccine was already in Thailand for emergency and exclusive use among a certain group of people.
"The Pfizer vaccine is not yet in this country because Pfizer has yet to register its Covid-19 vaccine with us,'' FDA secretary-general Paisarn Dankum, said via a Facebook Live press briefing on Wednesday.

All the western vaccines have had cases of blood clots being reported with a few deaths but their is no proof the vaccine caused the blood clots only suspected. Their have been over 50million doses in England alone of the Astra Zeneca vaccine with less than a few hundred cases with less than two dozen deaths. Yet when the Thai Government first started giving vaccine to medical staff it was reported that at least six in Ranong were violently ill some falling into comas.

The Thai Embassy in London will only accept visa applications online from the 1st of April, If approved you have to make a appointment to go to the Embassy to have the visa put into your passport.
The visa fees are also going up From £125 to £150 for a non 'O' multiple entry with all other visas rising pro rata.

To be fair, they have been moving the goalposts around over the last 4 or 5 years with regards to what they will or won't accept.
They've been tightening the screws so less people qualify so easily. What worked 14 years ago whilst in your 50's might not be so easy to do today during your 50's.
I only got my last visa in March 2018, as I stated check the Thai embassies website.

No. I was trying to clarify that you are of state pension age. That is the reason why they will issue you with a non 'O' visa.
They will not issue a non 'O' visa to over 50's unless over state retirement age, which is what you were wrongly stating.

I travel back to the UK every year and obtain an multi entry 'O' visa, The requirements now are over 50 years of age and prove an income of £1200 per month or if over 65 you can show proof of a Government pension.
You talking a load of twaddle, Thailand is full farangs giving misinformed/incorrect advice I have been getting multi entry 'O' visas for 14 years as I am 71 years of age and the state retirement age is 65 work it out use a calculator if needed.

Could you please confirm it was;
- Multiple Entry;
- from the London Thai Embassy;
- you’re not receiving state pension.
- And what supporting documents (financials) you provided.
I get my multi entry 'O' from the Thai Embassy by post for the past 4 or 5 years, previously I got this visa from the Thai Consulate in Hull until the consulates were stopped from issuing 'O' visas and can only issue tourist visas I also could pay with my debit card at Hull. I have shown Bank statements and also State Pension statement.
Are you implying I don't know what I am stating in my post, check with the London Thai Embassy website where all this information is. You can also download the visa application forms on this site.

You get a ME non 'O' based on being over 50?
When did you last get one?
March 2018, April 2017, June 2016 I have had Non 'O' visas every year for the past 14 years

I travel back to the UK every year and obtain an multi entry 'O' visa, The requirements now are over 50 years of age and prove an income of £1200 per month or if over 65 you can show proof of a Government pension. Prior to this you had to prove an income of £900 per month. The visa fee used to be £75 and is now £125.
They will only accept cash payment at the Embassy and if applying by post only Postal Orders are accepted which increases the cost by another £30+ with the postage.

ANYONE NOTICED THE DATE!!!!!!!
Makro Error
in General Topics
Posted
Went to Makro yesterday and at the checkout because I had only bought a few items, when the girl rang the bill up it came up at 2985 baht. when I queried the bill I got a shrug of the shoulders, I then pointed out their was an item on the bill for 1,932 baht. She then took an interest removed a bag of potatoes and raced off. When she re-appeared 10 minutes later it seem the potatoes weighed 1.932 kilograms and this had registered on the till as 1,932 baht. Proper bill then given of 782 baht, no apology offered, surely the girl should have noticed that the potatoes couldn't be that price.
