Military Court Postpones Ruling on Foiled 2006 Car Bomb Plot
The Bangkok Military Court has postponed its ruling on the case of three Army officers charged with orchestrating a car bomb plot to kill former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra to August 19th following the inconclusive review of investigation reports.
Three Army officers, namely Lieutenant Tawatchai Klinchana, Colonel Surapol Supradit and Lieutenant-Colonel Manus Sukpraser, were indicted by military prosecutors on charges of engineering a plot to kill others, attempted murder of a state official, and illegal possession of explosives.
The postponement was aimed to give time for the military tribunal to review the backlog of the investigation reports.
Investigators said Lieutenant Tawatchai parked a car carrying C-4 explosives at Bang Plad Intersection on August 24th, 2006 and triggered them when the motorcade of then prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra passed the scene, but they did not go off.
Investigators first resolved to seek indictment of 4 suspects while another soldier, Sergeant Charkrit Jandhra, was turned state witness. Public prosecutors, however, indicted only three of them as evidence against another Army officer, Major-General Pairoj Theerapab, was not sufficient.
The investigation reports are detailed on about 3,000 pages in 13 files. Its contents mainly deal with testimonies by plaintiffs, suspects, eyewitnesses and experts in related fields.

Rural Thai people are not smart enough to understand about this flu. It is better not to tell them anything.
Just like votes. They easily sell them for 200 Baht a piece.

This important new bipartisan Congressional letter to Secretary of State Clinton regarding the Laos Hmong refugee crisis was spearheaded by U.S. Congressmen Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) and Dennis Cardoza (D-CA) and massively backed by leading Lao Hmong organizations and communities across the United States," said Philip Smith of the CPPA in Washington, D.C.

The obvious solution is a joint listing and this is the policy Abhisit is pursuing.Obviously he needs to be careful in what he says because there are a bunch of crazies out there who unfortunately form part of his constituency.
Sorry you are wrong. This was what proxy-Thaksin government did (through the half-witt Nopadon). PAD & Mark was heavily against it.

I am guessing what Thailand will do.
1. Cancel all 6 airbus, and pay 50% panelty for walking away from the contract.
2. In 2 years time when business pick up and every airlines flying it, Thailand will put in a new order of 6 airbus. To accelerate delivery, Thailand pay a premium of 50% to jump queue.
TIT.

Is the killing before or after the sex?
I like to imagine before!
Not necessary.

It must be the Mexican Flu. This stuff is deadly.

Mr. Mark seems to forget that the entire Preah Vihear temple is in Cambodia, and not Thailand. The outer compound is another question; not related.

What about free and unlimited domestic flight for ALL Farang (must hold a Foreign passport).
That surely will have a big impact.

Philip Morris hits Thai tax rules anew as WTO hears trade case
THE LOCAL arm of cigarette maker Philip Morris International continued to back Manila’s case against Thai tax policies before the World Trade Organization (WTO), claiming that Bangkok enacted such rules when Philippine-made exports were gaining market share there.

Look at the bright side.
Less perks is better than no perks at all.

If you are not happy with something, just riot, take over streets, bring things to a grinding hault.... why is this the thai way recently for ALL people?
Thai farmers are beginning to learn from Farang farmers. Especially the French farmers.

I know it is sad, and we all should cry for him.
But nothing is further than the truth.
Should the truth be censored? Just because he is a Farang?

I do not know if this is old news, But i was booking a flight with Emirates for late October and noticed that the EK372/3 was a A380.
Seems it will start service daily from the 1st June landing 19:00hrs and departing 21:25hrs
Anyone know if you were interested to go see this thing arriving/leaving where would be the best place to be? Does Suvarnabhumi have a viewing area without being in departures?
Martin
Yes, in the middle, up a long escalator from the departure hall.

As bank after bank is charging the 150B fee, are there any ATMs left at the airport that does not charge the fee? Of there are any, where will I find them? For instance I've heared that BAAC and HSBC do not charge the fee, but this may not be true anymore.
I used my Nationwide Flex Debit card on the 22nd, in a Bank Of Ayudhya ATM, got 54.127Baht/£UK and no fee shown. I would expect that there is one of their ATM's at the airport. Their ATM's are a light brown colour...sortof...
As far as I know, Swampy only have SCB & TMB machines in the main terminal.
