  1. Are there any any VIP buses to Bangkok similar to the Mai Sai bus that has one seat on one side and two on the other?

What is the best bus company? I guess I could buy two seats if I need to. I just don't feel like spending 10 hours with a stranger's head resting on my shoulder and the train is all booked.

Any recent experiences buying bus tickets?

Gotta get to Bangkok next week.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi ricklev

A mate of mine who got his flights cancelled last week had to take the bus back to Bkk. I can't remember the name of the company he booked with as there are a few. If in doubt, just ask for the First Class coach which has TV's in the seats. They don't have the row of single seats yet found on the left side of the Mae Sai buses (coming soon), but it's said to be a very good ride, and at 650 Baht for one-way, it can't get much better than that.

There will of course be other options that I'm sure members will post about, but if I were to make the trip, the TV in the seat complete with headset, would win it for me

    Dear Aitch

Do you have any information about the situation at CM airport? How messy/ crowded? My husband is arriving on this Thursday (from a re-routed China Airline flight) I wonder how long it would be for passing the imigration and get off. I worried that he might miss the bus, I booked for him for going to BKK.

    Thanks

  2. Ams-BKK has rerouted to Ams-CM, and vice versa. My husband is comming from Holland and is arriving tomorrow (Dec 4) at CM airport.

My worried is how busy at the CM airport. I booked a bus ticket and hope he wouldn't take too long to get off the airport.

Anyone has information about the situation at CM airport? too crowded, busy? please
