It has to be applied for at the police clearance service center in Bangkok which is part of the Special Branch Police. See: http://www.pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/eng/
it has numbers on it like, 500, 1000.! works every time!

In the U.S. when applying for a one year B commonly referred to as a retirement visa, the consulates there do require a criminal background from the local police chief where the person lives.

if you want to see them in action, go to an internet cafe, preferably on soi four and watch them gather around the computer and write their "charlie tuna" boy friends! they all sit around the computer and advise each other. there is no shortage of gullible men who believe anything a female tell them!
where the hell did this come from? this thread is FOUR years old! must be a really slow news night for thai visa to bring this thread up again!

In one word, YES!

History would suggest that non-white. non-European, non-Aryan, non-heterosexual, non-male, non-Christian, etc groups tend to have had more need to form advocacy groups out of self-defense. As to being praised or vilified, most of the non groups listed above have paid a price for having the temerity to stand up for their rights, quite often incurring physical injuries, death, bullying, loss of employment and imprisonment for advocating their rights. That may be news to you if you've lived your life in a heterogeneous privileged majority.
is that right? and if you form such a group do you really think that the Thai's will knuckle under and let you in country? in your dreams! you are not in a liberal country that likes to sing kumbayaa. you are talking about Thailand.

there is nothing that anyone on this forum can tell you as you have already been deported. however when you get to the P.I. i would go to the Thai embassy, show them your passport with all the legal stamps and ask for advice. yelling and implying racism will only get you shut down! the thai's don't want to hear that.if you get them angry they will just shut the window on you.

connada, I agree fully with what you have said, unfortunately the Thai gov't does not give a tinkers dam what the falangs think! all they want is our money and nothing else! I do not see a change in the laws in this life time. it has been this way for the forty four years I have been in Thailand! we just have to get used to it. that is the one big reason i keep all my bank account in the U.S. except for the one i use here for living expenses! one plus is that if every thing goes south and a revolution happens we can jsut up and leave until it is over! the thai's have no such way out.

you should have gotten those answers BEFORE you applied! they are redily available, just have to look them up instead of asking other strangers for advice.

mine said single entry so she said "but has it been used already?"Its pretty normal. Has happened to me several times on a non-B extension of stay with a re-entry permit. Typically, when it does, I have to find the actual re-entry permit for them as my passport is filled with expired ones and other visas. Once shown a valid re-entry permit, I have never been asked for anything else.
i told her if it had been used it would be marked with "used".
so immediately she wouldnt belive me and turned into the neurotic skitzo she was and ran away with my passport. no wasnt going to accept this so ran after her. had to yell at her to get my passport back. supervisor was called/came and was allowed to pass. totally bad experience. foul mood all the way to the boarding ramp hour plus later. not the first time that they have pulled some caper. time before completely lost 600 dollars return flight- no refund by the airline at all on any part of the ticket or baggage allowance, so this time wast going supinely allow any nonsense to start at all,
a**holes the lot of them. completely puts one off flying anywhere at all
SOLUTION! next time get a "multiple" re-entry stamp! ist is cheaper than 600.00.

So, I have been here 10 years legally and I miscalculate my dates and I am stopped and arrested a few days over. Automatic 5 year ban. Wow a bit harsh but TIT.
just got my yearly retirement visa renewed and I had to sign a statement saying the above! plain and simple, you overstay, you pay!

Maybe you need a member card to get the sale price.
you HAVE to be on alert at all times here! there are scams galore here in this third world country!~

If married to a Thai the salary requirement is 40k baht. See here for more info: Guidelines and documents required for application for Thai citizenship by naturalization
There is also this existing long topic about getting citizenship: dbrenn's story of Thai citizenship application
you will never become a Thai citizen, you can get residence certificate at a very high price, but become a real thai citizen? forget it. having said that why in the world would you want to? have you reviewed the politics of thailand? have you seen the number of coups?

I have read other posts about that. But others have said they will accept income letters if you can show a bank that shows the money coming into the country.
It is time for some people to make some calls to 1111 to complain since that is not correct according to the police order.
about three years ago I had to have both a letter from my embassy AND a statement from my bank AND a copy of all my pages from my bank book! the last two years all that was required was aletter from my embassy. bottom line take everything! you can always throw away what is not "currently" needed!

Maybe ur not a tourist ?
you said you have been to thailand a few times, then you should know that the immigration officer was right! you need to go to your registered address to file for any extension! what gives you the impression that you are someone special? either obey the rules or take a hike! you are fortunate that you did not get the address for filing a complaint. they either would have put it in the trash or called you in for an education.
remember, you are a guest! and not entitled to anything!

The Non O would be so I could then apply for a 12 month extension based on retirement.
Definitely seems that you need to be 65 in England.
So wanted to know if was the same within Thailand?
the age in thailand is fifty (50)

Perhaps a single family home if lived in by the owner. No investment or commercial property.
I voted no! the term foreigner applies to the Chinese, indians, laotians, burmese, and any other person who would be able to purchase land and turn it into anything they wanted to, most importantly taking the land from the thai's!
-
Yes you have to report.
in all the years I have been in and out of bangkok immigration has NEVER looked at my 90 day receopt which has been attached to my passport.

I hope they weren't fighting over the Thai bloke in the pic.
probably were, they could not get visas for their camel lady friends!
-
There have been reports that there are agents, lawyers and such that can arrange extensions of stay for that kind of money. Of course some could be fake stamps.
I have not heard of any visas gotten that way other than arrangements to get a multiple entry non-b you have go back to your home country to get in most cases.
if it were true, do you really think anyone would ;post the name of the person here?

I think CEO Patee needs some serious skilling in the art of Public Relations, not to mention his idiot staff .
The very LEAST that NOK Air should do now is to offer the VICTIM and his wife a 12-Month GOLD PASS for FOC Travel on all NOK Air Services.
why the gold pass? what do you expect from a budget airlines? I have used nok air for quite some time most recently from Ubon to bangkok to Ubon round trip after surgery and they have did everything in their power to see that I was treated right! of course I had to climb the stairts in Ubon because the airport burned down but in Bangkok I was wheeled from the ticket counter to the selected seat! just because you need a wheel chair does not give you the right to expect special treatment!
staff carrying your butt down the ladder? that's a bit cheeky! the proper question would be "why no skyway at chaing mai airport?"

Good to put another fake out of business. I know I'll get jumped on for this but it won't be the first time. I don't have any sympathy for for these ladies that waste their money on the skin whitening products and then discover it is a scam.
for the life of me I don't see why the Thai ladies want to chage their beautiful brown skin to albino white skin! do they not know that they are beautiful just the way they are? it sickens me to see all the albino's on thai TV playing up the skin whiteners! they all look unnatural! and the skin companes are mostly to blamer!

Fleeing the scene of an accident?
I'm assuming she's been here a long time then.
if you saw the thai news you saw the cops getting a good "feel"! nasty asses could not even wait to get to the station!

Good you understand the Thai people now explain it to us.
Thanks a great rosy post
Thanks, I understand them from my eyes and you will have to understand them from your eyes not mine .
I don't know many western men who are unhappy with thailand, but then again I keep away from the bad mouths who would even bad mouth their own country. they just live to feel sad, mad and unhappy and they can do that anywhere. just keep away from them so it don'trub off!
