Foreigners came to Thailand and have agreed to follow all the requirements to be able to live and have a family in the country.
We follow the rules but the government is treating us like a fungus and giving us no rights.
We should be treated with equal respect as we do with all the government rules.
Our wives and children have done nothing wrong but just because we were not born Thai we have no rights.

We are thinking about moving to Krabi from Chiang Mai. School is always the first to find and the internet has most on international. Plenty in Chiang Mai but too expensive for what they offer. Our daughter is in the gifted class at Sarassas and in 8th grade. American dad and Thai mother.
School first on the list then golf then housing.
Any help with any of these is appreciated and I do come to Krabi once a month or so to play on my boat.
Thanks for anyone with any suggestions.

I know this area but don't know where a pharmacy is. Could you show a store front for me or an address.
Thanks for the response and if they can do a little work for me that would be super.
Cheers

Can't be the first to ask so here we go. New neighbors moved in across the street and have 3 dogs. Bark all day and sometimes all night. Talked to them twice but same.
What can I do legally? One dog very friendly and I give him snacks but the little ones just bark all day. Owners leave very early and come home very late sometimes not at all.
Daughter can't sleep some nights so tired in school.
Must be a way.
Thanks for any input.

I am married to a Thai now for 7 years and her/our daughter is now 12. She is in the top of her class and starting advanced classes next year in one of the private schools. I want to adopt her so she can go to America to do her senior year in prep for an American University.
Does anyone have some info on this as I have found I need to go to Bangkok because CM only does Thai to Thai adoptions. Using a law firm will be too expensive and for sure there are many readers that have done this or are in the process.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I have lived here for 8 years and have never been able to find a good electronics store that stocks electronics. Resistors, caps, tuning pots, scopes, meters etc. Does anyone know of anything other than lets say AMORN? Having to order single phase diode rectifier bridges from Ali Express is a 2 or 3 week wait.
Thanks,

Know exactly the place your talking about. I have been in there and will check again.

Suggest you go to StrongVPN they will set you up and have great 24/7 online service. Internet speed sucks with all providers here to the states.

Buy a Roku. Much cheaper and much much better

Check with Sabai Technology and they will give you the best response. The owner lives in Thailand and they build their own OS. I have one and I do streaming etc. and have a daughter that I can block out VPN on her computer so they will help you with any questions about the quality of signal in Thailand.
Good luck

I have been looking on the forum to see if there is a children's Christmas party like the one in the past at Gymkhana club. If you have any info on this please let me know.
Thanks,

Would get most days a Thaivisa update in my inbox but nothing lately. Do I need to request again or is something changed?

I have run into a brick wall with getting a VPN router. Even the ones that I try and order from the states wont ship to Thailand. Linksys E 2000 3000 4200 and even Buffalo routers.
Any suggestions

Do you have their number? I live in Chiang Mai and need to order some Acetone and resinI use the shop on Naklua road to buy my resin and matting, head up Pattaya-Naklua road until you get to the intersection to turn right to the post office (don't turn right), its just through the lights by about 50m to 70m on the left hand side, small looking hardware type store with generators/air compressors/welders out front.
Used it today and not a huge variety but enough to get simple jobs done.
Thanks for the heads up
Cheers, Admiral Ken

Ministry now aims to roll out travel promotions for expats in Thailand

How about letting the Expats who have retirement and marriage visas back in the country without the impossible requirements so we can enjoy Thailand like we used to?
All Expats who are living in Thailand deserve to be treated the same which includes those who are stuck out of the Kingdom.
